I have used James Cargo for almost twenty years as I have a home in Canada and we take our dog with us when we go. They looked after my last dog each year sometime twice a year until he died and my current 13 year old dog since he was a puppy. They are kind and loving to the dogs and I always feel my precious dog is in safe hands. On Saturday they broke all records and he was ready to go one hour after he landed.

James Cargo was absolutely wonderful in handling my cat and being flexible when my plans changed. I was incredibly worried about my pet arriving safely, her boarding, the accommodations, but it's been nothing but smooth sailing. In an otherwise incredibly stressful move, the constant communication, ability to accommodate us, and just overall kind manner of the team truly made everything better. I would absolutely book them again and trust them with all of my pet services.

We love JCS !!! I couldn’t recommend them enough… they made my cat’s first flight from UK to Malaysia so easy. It was so easy to reach them, they dealt with my case rapidly and managed to get him on a flight in the next week! They compiled and finalised all the paperwork for me & I felt super safe leaving my cat to them.

We recently enlisted the services of James Cargo Services to manage the end to end process of transporting our dog Milo (Maltese) from London to Dubai, working with Emirates SkyCargo. I have to say I cannot fault them at all. From first introduction to final destination and follow up Rachel and the team made the entire process effortless and stress free. Milo was a rescue dog originally from Dubai, where we adopted him in 2016. We returned to the UK with him in 2018 and of course wanted to take him back with us this time at the ripe old age of 12. As a rescue dog he has always been a nervous little chap but the care and handling from JCS meant we knew he was in good hands immediately. If you are ever worried about transporting your pet anywhere and you yourself are perhaps a little worried, especially if you have an older dog like Milo, when your dog is picked up by Steve, you will be put immediately at rest. His clear love for our four legged members of the family is incredible. Thank you JCS I cannot recommend you any higher, I would if there were more stars…

JCS handled the UK end of bringing our cat in from Australia and made a nerve-wracking day much easier. Before he arrived, Danielle sent a clear explanation of exactly what would happen once he landed, how long each stage takes and where to collect him, along with a map. That meant we knew not to set off too early and were not left guessing. On the day, Lisa let us know the moment he had landed, and Danielle confirmed a couple of hours later that he had passed his checks and was ready to collect. He was ready exactly when they said he would be. They also sorted out a duplicate payment we had made in error, without any fuss.

James Cargo has brought our two cats safe and sound to London from İstanbul. Our little girls had a comfortable travel and were happily chilling when we arrived to collect them.

I worked with Charlie to move from the UK to the US and he was fantastic. Initially I wasn't sure of what date my dog and I would be relocating, and he was very patient, even when it changed last minute. He answered all my questions and got back to me quickly, and he answered the phone right away. I'll cover some of my favorite things about JCS below.

While I was on my leg of the trip and trying to recover from the big move, Charlie made sure my dog got where she needed to be, even if I was unavailable to coordinate. I had to drop my dog at a boarding facility so that I could catch my flight, and he was even able to arrange for pickup from the facility instead of from our apartment. The boarding facility manager said the pickup team was very sweet and helpful.

I have worked with pet relocation companies before and they required multiple installments of fees throughout the process. Even after weeks (maybe months) of communication and consulting, Charlie did not send me a bill. In fact, he started looking for flights, answering my questions about paperwork, and taking measurements for a crate without receiving any money. JCS did not bill me until the day before my dog was on the plane. Although it can be rough to pay such a large amount at once, it gave me the confidence that Charlie really cared about my dog, not just the money, because of the immense amount of work he put in before payment was due.

It's also worth noting that out of all the companies I considered, JCS was substantially cheaper than most, and included features others did not. For instance, they provided a crate for my dog, offering either custom-sized wood, or a pre-sized collapsible plastic crate, and did not charge more depending on size. I think in the end they had to upsize my dog's crate, and I didn't even know until I received her at the airport, because the crate cost was flat.

Unfortunately there were no delivery options from the airport to our new home so I spent a day driving to pick up my dog, but the company that JCS contracted with, Island Pet Movers, gave great directions and made the pickup process as smooth as possible (there was a delay but not at all their fault, and would have been longer without them). They made sure that I was able to pick up my dog the day she landed by getting customs paperwork filled out in advance. Since my dog landed after CBP closed for the day, without this service, I wouldn't have been able to take her home. Sometimes working with a contractor is a toss-up, but JCS obviously chose well and even acted as a go-between and introduced me to the Island team.

Moving an animal is always expensive (I've done it multiple times!) but it's obvious when it's worth it. I am so happy Charlie was there not just as a logistics officer but for broader support in the move, and for being patient as I navigated the human side of things. Trust that if we ever end up back in the UK, we will be using JCS again!

JCS were excellent in helping move my dog from the UK to Brunei. They made the process seamless and as stress free as possible. The staff were particularly outstanding when two days before we were due to travel LHR placed a pet travel embargo due to a Red weather warning during a heatwave! After informing me of this, they rapidly rescheduled my dogs flight and all prerequisite appointments for me which was a huge relief at a stressful time.

We had an amazing experience with Amy, who helped us relocate two beloved cats from the US to the UK. We were really concerned about managing the process without a paid agent in the US, but with Amy, we found the entire process ran very smoothly. She verified that we had the correct paperwork before we left, which was critical to make sure things went smoothly on arrival. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to make travel arrangements for their pets.

I was recommended the company through my pet relocator. I was so worried at first about how complex it might be getting three cats out of the middle east but it went through without issue. My cats were collected from Heathrow airport, and delivered to my UK address. I was kept updated and informed via email. Budget accordingly but I thought their rates were fair for the service they were providing.

I would probably use them again in future, and recommend!

My pet needed transportation from London, UK, to Boston, USA, on June 30th. I contacted them 1-2 weeks before the departure date, and Rachel and her team have been very helpful. She listed the documents I needed to get done and was ready to help every step of the way. The day of departure, the process took about 5-10 mins max. I brought in bad bowls for the crate, and they provided me with one. They took good care of Milo and kept me informed about everything going on behind the scenes. Working with James Cargo Services was a smooth and relaxed process!

My experience with James Cargo Services has been appalling. Initially, we agreed on a transport price of 1,720 GBP. After they received my item, the price was arbitrarily increased to 4,500 GBP, which forced me to cancel the contract.Following the cancellation, I was subjected to an attempt at extortion for 1,200 GBP for just 20 days of storage. After much insistence, they reduced this amount to 510 GBP. I paid the full amount requested on 05-June-26, as per invoice B488545. However, when I arranged for another company to collect the item, James Cargo again demanded additional storage fees, completely ignoring the fact that the payment had already been fully settled. They do not honor commercial agreements, change prices after receiving the goods, and withhold items that have already been paid for. I feel I am being subjected to extortion. I strongly advise extreme caution to anyone considering hiring this company. Zero professionalism.

We were earlier quoted (£££) by a well established UK pet travel business who suggested we had missed a certain vaccination and Junior would need to take the mandatory vaccination 28 days apart and this was quite nerve-racking for us considering the current macro situation.

JCS were amazing relocating our labrador from the UK to Mauritius. Before the flight, our main point of contact, Rachel, organised the flights, export paperwork and gave us brilliant advice on how best to prepare our dog for the 11 hour flight. It made such a difference to her journey. The articles on their website are really useful too.

Their knowledge on the export process gave us a lot of confidence. Rachel had to step in when our vet had queries with the Export Health Check on the day of departure.

My husband met Steve at Gatwick Animal Services and he took Pippin from there. It was obvious he loves animals and he made her feel relaxed.

We had regular updates and Pippin was delivered happy and well to Mauritius. I highly recommend them if you are importing or exporting a pet to/from the UK.

James Cargo was a vital final link in a complex chain to ensure that our family pet was granted access to the UK. They were polite and professional throughout, whether dealing with my Canadian export broker, or indeed myself directly.
