Stole our breakfast money!
Booked a room for an overnight stay at a local village B&B. I booked a room and breakfast for the 2 of us. Their system only showed a room only and not the breakfast. After emailing them 5 times showing receipts from the B&B for a room only at £35 less, they simply kept fobbing me off ignoring my simple point that they had pocketed my breakfast money! They steal your money, and I would highly recommend that you steer clear of thes rogues!
Bought Two Useless Dresses
Bought two dresses for my partner, one was ok and the second was absolute rubbish. Thin wrinkled material which no one would ever consider wearing. Returns window was only two weeks so we are stuck with two dresses we wanted to return. I’ll never buy from this store again and I suggest you avoid them also.
A warning to any marketing agency…
A warning to any marketing agency working with Joy
We are the paid media agency that looked after JOY & Louche for 6-7 months. After generating results that surpassed the performance of their previous agency - we were eventually shouted at down the phone, send threatening emails r.e. repaying ad spend and eventually kicked out of the ad accounts.
4 months later, we're still awaiting payment. Our emails are being outright ignored by Dylan, Girish & the team at JOY.
After chasing for payment via WhatsApp, I have been blocked on WhatsApp by the Directors.
Their Finance Manager emailed 4 weeks ago promising an update r.e. payment - unsurprisingly we've received nothing.
If I were a future employee, agency or a consumer with strong ethics - I would avoid at all costs.
Very disappointed, and now... out of pocket.
Let's hope that they come around and pay their invoices, and I can remove this review.
The material is awful
The material is awful , super cheap. Doesn't even look like the product they advertise. They advertised the dress as a luxe suede , that is a joke, it's garbage super thin & poor quality. Do not order anything.
It was delivered 19 days after I ordered. The good thing is they did issue me a full credit!

This is an excellent company
This is an excellent company. I first found it in Queen Street in Glasgow, then Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow .
The quality is really good and the range is fabulous.
I have bought many items over the years and have been gifted some by friends.
I'm delighted I can still purchase online as this store is one of my ' go to' places for everyday or occasion wear and gifts. I really like the originality of the items available.
I have recommended Joy to many people.
I do prefer to shop on sale as I have a beery budget and champagne taste.

I was charged twice on two separate days for the same exact sweatshirts. I've been trying to reach out to the company that did this and they will not respond. I gladly take an exchange, but I can't even get their address.

Customer service/Returning items impossible
I bought an item, and wanted to return as it was wrong size, I couldn't use the UK returns portal as it kept saying it wasn't available in my region.
I screenshot it and emailed Joythestore 1.5 weeks ago. I have had no response. I emailed again, still no response.
So I have used Royal Mail app *send an item* to return it,
There's no phone number, I am thinking message them on Ebay, but i read another review in here where someone had messaged Joy on Instagram and no response...
This is such awful customer service!!
I've been buying from Joy for 18 years and the customer service has really gone downhill!!
Edit to add: Louche and Joythestore are the same and owned by Nese, 8 Beadman Street, London, United Kingdom, SE27 0DN. This is where all returns go to. So perhaps write to them? Or look on Companies House for both Louche and Joy going back a few years, it may explain why things have changed!!

Impossible to return items.
Impossible to return anything. The returns portal states returns aren’t accepted and to email customer services. Customer services won’t respond to any emails and there is no phone number. My return is well within their ts&cs for a refund but cannot process it.

Returns Issue
Returns Issue. The returns portal is not accepting my order details and after 2 emails and instagram messages I am still yet to hear back from Joy The Store. As there is no phone number to call customer services, I am at a loss as to what to do next. I would like my refund processed but have no way of sending the items back unless the company replies to my emails or messages.

Great designs, great returns process and refunds as I’m between sizes and often have to send one size back.

This is a scam, bought a Tshirt months ago, no Tshirt, no refund despite many requests. Most of the time they don’t reply to your email. I gave them one star as it’s not possible to give less. Save your money

Purchased a beautiful hummingbird purse that I have got many compliments on. I ordered 'overseas" as I am from Canada and the order arrived promptly. I've ordered 'overseas' many times from Joy with no issue. This time I recieveed the wrong order but the issue was very quickly resolved. Excellent cuistomer service!
