They don't just cut carpet, they cut corners!
I had the flooring replaced in two rooms; carpet fitted on Tuesday 24 March 2026 and laminate fitted on Thursday 26 March 2026. The price was competitive because I got everything done for under £1000. However, the penny-pinching attitude and lack of attention to detail in the workmanship of the subcontractors I ended up with left me with a poor impression of the company.
The carpet fitter on the first day had the cheek to try to get away with leaving the old worn, stained and ripped underlay in place rather than replace it with fresh underlay which was part of the deal. I was damned if I was going to let him get away with it so I pointed it out to him and he had the audacity to say that the old underlay was thicker in places than the new underlay. I ignored this nonsensical remark and made him replace it. He then had the nerve to try to leave the old brass-coloured door bar in place that had been with the old brown carpet, rather than replace it with a new stainless-steel coloured one to match the new silver-grey carpet. Again, I had to ask him to replace this, which he moaned about, as though desperate to save on any expense even though the company makes a point in telling you that everything including the fittings are included in the price.
On day two, the laminate fitters didn't give me any such bother but after they had finished I was disappointed and somewhat speechless to find that they had failed to spend what would probably only have amounted to 60 seconds in rotating some of the planks so that there was no risk of the same woodgrain pattern being repeated next to another plank of exactly the same pattern. Anyone who has seen this lack of attention to detail will know exactly what I'm talking about because it sticks out like a sore thumb and reminds you as soon as you look at the floor that it's not real woodgrain because, in nature, no two would be the same. These guys obviously knew that this could happen but they didn't even bother shuffling the planks or even just rotating the next matching one round so it didn't look identical to the one immediately next to it. So on the finished floor I've now got 5 or 6 instances of a number of identical planks being next to each other. The lack of care and respect by the fitters on both days really was abysmal.
For this reason, I don't recommend this company. I had actually thought that "Lazy Carpets" was a weird name for a flooring firm because it sounds much more suited to a company dealing in beds, but after this experience I find that it sums up the attitude of its fitters to a tee.

As you can see from the reviews left we are not a company that cuts corners and if any issues are raised we act promptly to remedy these.
We take comments regarding workmanship and customer service very seriously, and it's disappointing to read that you were left feeling this way. While we're pleased that you found our pricing competitive, we would never expect a customer to feel that corners were being cut or that a lack of care had been taken with their installation.
With regards to the concerns you've raised, we would have welcomed the opportunity to investigate and address them at the time of fitting. Had these issues been brought to our attention during or immediately after the installation, we would have arranged for a manager to review the work and, where necessary, ensure that any problems were resolved to the high standard we expect from all of our subcontracted fitters.
The replacement of underlay and agreed accessories should always be carried out in accordance with the order, and we are sorry to hear you felt the discussions around these items were unprofessional. Similarly, we understand your comments regarding the laminate plank pattern repetition. While some pattern duplication can occur in manufactured flooring products, customer satisfaction is important to us and we would have gladly inspected the floor had we been made aware of your concerns.

Very positive experience overall. Good advice from Ian who carried out the initial visit. I took his recommendation on the flooring and it looks great. Lee carried out the fitting and he was very friendly, efficient and clearly very experienced and good at his job. I would definitely recommend Lee for the fitting. Thank you.

The guy who came out to messure up and brought samples was very helpful with information for underlays & as I mentioned the colour style I wanted he was able to give me the samples best matching up my choice
Fitter very good fitting service provided quality work to new grippers laid underlay secured & carpet fitted perfectly with new door trims the guy was timely polite and most of all works to a high standard
Will definitely use this company again and highly recommend them

Amazing
Everything was fantastic , it was quick and easy . I had a call back the next day and someone was out the day after to measure and give me a quote . The price was fantastic. I had the floors fitted within a week .

I cannot rave enough about lazy carpets, they are fantastic, the fitter Ryan was brilliant, he went above and beyond, helpful professional, there was a misunderstanding about a carpet for one room, Ryan immediately called the company , Dale rang me and spent time to ensure I got the carpet and made sure fitting for next day, well done 🌟. All staff were brilliant, Geraldine rang the next day to make sure everything was carried out to a high standard. A I will be recommending Lazy carpets to all family and friends. Made up with the end product
Made up with the end product - would have been 5 stars if the lads didn’t leave a massive tube on our drive along with rubbish that should have been taken with them. Had to do a skip run due to the amount left so not ideal - but nice lads and did a good job. Ian the sales manager has also been very pleasant to deal with too.

I had to amend my fitting due to delay moving new property and was very impressed with how they were very helpful and accommodating.

Really good experience with Lazy…
Really good experience with Lazy Carpets! We got flooring done throughout the house including stairs. From Kevin for original sales visit who offered great suggestions and advice to Lee and Paul who carried out the work two weeks later. Lee was a perfectionist with the job and regularly asked my opinion or explained why things are done in a certain way. Paul was a great young worker and was very tidy clearing up behind them. Both so obliging with other tradesmen we had in. Will definately contact them to floor the kitchen when we are ready. Would recommend even if you have a wee wait as they are super busy - says a lot!!!

After fitting service Awful
The carpet is fine as was the fitting.
However the fitters did not arrive till five pm. They new. I was their last job but I had stay in from.nine am.
Due to this I missed a hospital appointment.
When they finished they left my old carpet and underlay together with large amounts of the new carpet underlay and two fifteen feet long large cardboard tubes.
I am a 71 year old disabled pensioner. I had to saw up the tubes bag 12 bags of carpet and put them out. I.spent a day in bed recovering.Then I had to pay the
Council 30 pounds to take it away.
I would therefore not recommend you to.anyone who is.old or disabled. When I renew my dining room carpet I will not use you

As you were the last job of the day, the team should have called when leaving their previous appointment or departing the warehouse to provide you with an estimated arrival time. We appreciate how inconvenient this was, particularly as it resulted in you missing a hospital appointment. We're also sorry to hear about the distress caused by the waste left behind. As a company, we do not remove uplifted flooring, underlay, packaging, or installation waste, and this should have been explained clearly during the quotation stage. We are particularly sorry to hear about the impact this had on you personally. Rectified my concerns!
Had a great rep that came out called Danny who was wonderful, the first two fitters weren't too great, made a few mistakes and lacked communication skills (didnt introduce themselves) but after finding out I wasn't too pleased with my results via a review, the company sent out different fitters just a week later who were fab! They fixed the issues and only left 1 thing undone because they didnt have beading with them to fix it and said silicone wouldnt look good so apart from that I would definently use this company again. My mother in law is currently awaiting her livingroom being fitted by them so I would recommend this company, at least they care enough to come back! Special thanks to Karen, you were a star!
