The cup is not for everyone. I did not like the way it fit.
Read the return policy very carefully.

Customer service was quick to respond to my inquiries and issues and they were helpful in resolving them.

When I first got my Nixit cup (or disc) I was a little scared at first, so I watched some videos on how to insert, how to wash it, ETC... and when my period came I was so scared it would leak!
but to my surprise, I put it in correctly, and there were no leaks. It took acouple tries of putting it in under the pubic bone, but once I got it, I couldn't feel a thing and I forgot about it until I got home from work. I definitely would recommend this to anyone in my family who menstrate.
Pros:
- Comfortable fit
- No leak throughout the day
- Some-what easy to take out
- No cramps
- No more pad/ tampon buying

Cons:
- Alittle bit of a mess
- May not fit for all women (It depends on the height of your cervix)

At first I didn’t think the Nixit disc was right for me as well as the 3 menstrual cups I’ve previously tried! On my first and many tries I was leaking every time and the disc wouldn’t stay behind my pubic bone. Very determined for it to work I contacted Nixit support for help over two days whilst trying all the different ways to put it in, watching you tube videos, looking at the anatomy of uterus and reading reviews. Nixit offered great support through messenger. Through persistence I have learned that l needed to push the disc far down there... like I’m trying to lose it, then make sure it’s up in place... ensuring I can feel my cervix through the disc. I have a high cervix and I’m very very heavy first two days and the disc has helped so much. Learning to put the disc in is very hands on and takes time but is worth it if you bleed heavy.

Be very careful. If you are unsuccessful in using this cup, there is no way to refund. I tried to use it for several cycles and used every tip, trick and advise offered on their website and from their staff. At the end they said “Due to the nature of our product, we are unable to accept returns or issue refunds. If you ever want to try it again and we can offer you some more tips, please do let us know!” For the amount of money they are making off of this little piece of silicone, you think they would take care of their customers. After not getting a response via review and email, I finally had to take it to social media to get a response.

I absolutely love my nixit. My periods started getting heavier and longer a few years ago and I started to despise that time of the month. I was going through entirely too many tampons, pads and when I was using the diva cup, changing that thing every two hours (sometimes less than two hours) was a hassle.

The first day of using nixit, I new that it was going to be a keeper for two reasons (1) it holds more and (2) you don’t have to remove it to empty it. Drops mic right there. My last two periods have been hassle free. I don’t have to stock up on pads and tampons and I don’t have to worry about changing products every two hours.

The one down fall is that I can’t remove it without making a mess. Luckily I don’t have to remove it often. And my two points above make up for this.

Anyway, I love this product. Definitely recommend people try it.

HORRIBLE product. I’m so upset about this cup. It was a complete disaster for me. The cup turned into a tunnel that just dumped all my period blood right into my underwear. I reached out to customer support multiple times and after still not getting much help, they basically told me to “have a nice life” and that was it. I asked for my money back, and they wouldn’t give it to me. So buyer beware - if it doesn’t work for you, you’ll have a $60 silicone cup collecting dust in your cupboard.

I am a very experienced cup user and find this product impossible. I followed all the instructional videos and it literally won’t stay in place. Minimal in the disc, most out of the disc.
I feel this is a product that either suits your body type or doesn’t And I think had I been one of the lucky ones it would be amazingly comfortable; however I am not. The price point makes it very risky to take that chance.
So disappointed as I really wanted this to be as amazing as the claims.

Beautiful design. Very comfortable to wear. More convenient than disposable period products. I know this won’t be for everyone, but I’m super satisfied.

I chose Nixit because I have an IUD and was instructed not to use period cups by my doctor because of the potential to dislodge. I tried disposable discs and found they worked okay, so I decided to upgrade and invest in a Nixit. I also chose Nixit over other discs because I was impressed by their rad advertising (if I see one more flowery, non-inclusive, uber-femme period company...) and the learning resources available to their customers.

I’m a very heavy bleeder, and I’ve found that I can wear Nixit for a full workday without leaks (!!!), whereas I could have easily bled through three tampons in the same amount of time.

The disc is easy and comfortable to insert and remove. The rim is softer than disposable discs which means sometimes it takes a couple tries to get it up behind your cervix. I make sure that the placement is correct by inserting a finger under the disc and making sure I feel my cervix in the disc. The minute it takes to insert and check the placement in the morning is much less time than the time it takes to run to the bathroom throughout the day to change tampons.

One more plus, not embarrassing if it falls out of your purse! The little purse that it comes with is cute and discreet. Also easy and discreet to carry in your pocket.

When I found Nixit I was hesitant to purchase because of the extremely polarizing reviews. Based on the cool packaging and positive reviews from people that Nixit worked for, I took a very expensive chance on the product. It became clear to me in the first use that this product is very heavily anatomy based which is why the reviews are so all over the place. People with a lower cervix should not purchase this until they come out in different sizes- the current Nixit is slightly smaller than my palm length wize. The Nixit was wonderful for me and was the first time in my life that I haven't felt uncomfortable or broken out into hives during my period. In fact, I would say that you can't really even rate how 'comfortable' it is because you can't feel it at all.
It's also important to note that the Nixit is closer to a menstrual disk and not a cup. I wasn't sure what that meant initially, but after using the product I now know that it's a very different experience in terms of insertion. There was a small learning curve to get the Nixit to stay in place but I was able to learn in under a day. I reccomend wearing a liner until you know you've figured it out!
All in all, I would reccomend trying out a Nixit if you know for certain that you don't have a lower sitting cervix. It's already been life changing for me! If Nixit doesn't plan on making different sizes in the future, I hope that they can develop a 'sizing guide' of sorts for people who are hesitant to purchase.

I love the nixit. The freedom it gives me is amazing!
Pros-
# once it's in you REALLY can't feel it. People say that about cups but I can always feel them, but the nixit is even less noticable than a tampon.
# I find it easier to insert than a standard cup
# the "mess free period s$x" is true
# impressive capacity means that I only have to change mid day on my heaviest day. Otherwise can last full 12 hours
# excellent customer service that send "check up" emails, plus you can return it for a refund if it doesn't work.
# no suction seal means I find it way easier to remove
Cons-
# can be messy. When you do that first tug it can tend to squirt out blood. I've only ever got it on my fingers, not the murder scenes I see everyone else talking about. I just make sure I'm changing in a bathroom with a sink or bring wipes. All good.
# if you have to go number 2 and have it in, sometimes this pushes the nixit out of position. No real bother as you're over a toilet anyway but can be a little surprising.
# on the pricier side but worth the risk as they refund if you don't like it.

Have used it for 3 cycles now and can't see myself going back to standard cups or, gasp, disposable products. I have had one or two small leaks but only on heaviest days and I usually wear a reusable panty liners for insurance. Comparatively I leak way more with tampons. Less leaks with cups but the discomfort of those is worse for me.

I really really wanted this to work for me. I have a high cervix and cups get sucked up into the stratosphere. I got it to work ONCE. The rest of the time it either didn't want to go in all the way and hitting my cervix, went in all the way but, again, hit my cervix and didn't catch anything. Im so frustrated as I really wanted this to work. I may try and get a lena (i think its called) to try in the future. They have different sized discs s m and L. The other issue is its so soft it wants to fold on itself, and it actually twists when putting it in. A sideways disc won't do anything, obviously. So until they make different sizes, im going to Put a Cup in it swap group and see if I can find a different disc. Sell this one while I'm at it. One very expensive mistake unfortunately.

I was surprised it has this number of bad reviews. People have bad experience with the cup, but it's the company that's doing it and it is good! At first, I was disappointed because I had a hard time getting it in(but I was doing dry runs). Trust me, you gotta lube that sucker up. Then it worked like a charm. I was surprised how well it caught all the blood, 0 leaks. I thought something must've been wrong some times, but no!

Removal was a monster though. That BS with gripping under the rim was not working. TRUST ME, try and find a place over the rim and release it from your cervix and then slowly getting it out. It hurt like a bugger to remove as in the instructions. I kept touching my cervix UGH. It's easier as well if you bear down on the toilet and push some of the blood out.

Last thing, but the most important- WHERE ARE MY CRAMPS? They were literally gone while wearing nixit. After removing it, they came back :( So it give me more reasons to use it more on my period.

This is a menstrual disk and not a menstrual cup. Even though they’re similar in concept (holding fluid), they are really VERY different and have different learning curves.

It took me about 3 cycles to master insertion and, at first, I thought it didn’t fit. But a few things made the difference for me:

1. When they say angle down, they really mean angle down. While you’re inserting one end, the other (top) end should be almost covering your clitoris.

2. Pinch as you go. Don’t just pinch in the middle and try to insert all at once. Pinching as you go helps the nixit, which is very soft, go past the muscle at the entry of your vagina without folding on itself, etc. Otherwise, it might try to come back out, leak, be uncomfortable, etc.

3. Once you have it mostly in, use the “thumb trick” to push it the rest of the way. I found the thumb trick on a flex disc forum. Google it. It makes all the difference and they have (non-graphic) pictures to illustrate.

After that, it should be easy to tuck behind your pubic bone.

All in all, I like this better than cups. Cups leak on me and this doesn’t. Take your time. This is something new and very few people get it right right away. But a lot of people get it right after a while of trying. You’ve got this!

After using a mooncup and washable towels for years I was keen to try something that could allow period sex as well as being reusable.

Unfortunately, as much as I wanted the nixit to work it just doesn't. It's impossible to place correctly so that it doesn't leak. Their design unfortunately just doesn't seem to work for every body and although they make it seem like one size fits all, it really doesn't.

I've been using SoftCup for years, so when I saw Nixit advertised, I was quick to jump on it. Sad to say though, this product does not live up to my expectations. It is both too large, and the edges are too soft, so placing it properly is impossible. The first few times I tried using it, it hurt so bad that I had to take it out. After several attempts, I have managed to cram it up there, but because the edges are too soft, it folds in on itself in the process, so even if I manage to get it positioned, it's never correctly placed, and always leaks. Very disappointing.

I think nixit changed my life. And menses.
I'm still a bit in awe.
Switched over from Tampons and have never tried a mooncup before.
Pros:
- No more icky tampon strings (hate the string when peeing or pooping and sometimes just change the whole damn thing when i do to toilet).
- it feels like I'm not wearing anything?!?! How can this beeeee? Omg. Why did nixit cone into my life so late, i needed it like 20 years ago.
- my cramps got better. Im not sure how it works but THANK YOU.
- i dont have to buy tampons now!!!!! Ahahahahhahahaahahhahahahaha!!!!
- once you get the hang of it, its easy to insert in and out.
- Have tried up to ten hours without changing on low tide lol, no guts to wait the full twelve hours. no leaks for me.

Cons:
- The first few times of installing, OMG. I had to watch the video and read the instruction ten times as i was intimidated. I did it in the shower and fiddled around so much that i felt like a porn star.
- The first time i tried taking it out i was squeamish, and light tugging didnt work and i panicked and imagined myself crying at the hospital explaining to nurses about a stuck moon cup help. Eventually, after breathing and calming myself, and trying about four times, i FINALLY managed to get it out. The relieve. The immensed relieve that it wasnt going be stuck inside me forever filled with menstraul blood made me tear up.
- Yes I did find the courage to wash it and immediately stuck it back in again. It was just very soft, i told me, and hard to get out. Im very brave.
- the taking out bit while on heavy flow is a different beast altogether. I have made mini murder scenes on my bathroom floors and shower, and on a few occasions, all over my pants. Needs practice with agility and stealth fingers.

PROCON: I did find myself fascinated each time at the mini crime scenes. I'll see myself out lol.

I really do not like this product, I've used a mooncup for over a decade, and it works well, thought I would try the nixit purely because it holds more. At first I was surprised how large yet soft the product was, which made it tricky to insert, but I persevered however, no matter what position I attempt I simply can not get it inserted behind my pubic bone, the pubic bone keeps pushing the nixit back down, and to keep pushing it up hurts my cervix, so it feels very uncomfortable (worse than a tampon) and it leaks, along with the pain of it being close to an already inflamed cervix, due to being on a period, for some reason it also creates lower back pain which the mooncup never has.
I was also unaware that this was shipped from another country, as the website says free shipping, so I was disappointed to find out I had to pay £14 on customs fees, and to return I have to wait 3 months (3 cycles - which given this first cycle I doubt I will every try using it again), pay shipping to return and also do not get the customs fees back - so an expensive mistake. I wouldn't recommend.

I agree with others that the rim should be firmer. Inserting is a challenge since the cup is so squishy. The best insertion position is squatting and then push the cup down then push the cup up behind the pubic bone. The nixit capacity is impressive since I have a heavy flow. It took 3 cycles to get familiar with the nixit. I am a former Softdic user and I love that I’m not throwing away so many tampons, discs, wrappers and applicators in the trash! I use the saalt cup wash and boil between cycles to keep my nixit clean.

I Love my Nixit! It works so well for me. I can put it im and forget about it because it's ao comfortable to wear and I haven't had any leaks. I wore it for 12 hours at night and it didn't leak. It is a little bit hard to insert because it's so flexible, but not impossible and it's easy enough to get in the right place. I will never go back to tampons again now that i found the nixit, it was worth every penny!
