I had an appointment today at Vauxhall selly oak. I was coming out from my car and just parked the car with my baby out on the pram. The guy came out asking if I came out for the motability? I said no. He didn't even bother to ask me why I was there for and he carried on talking on top of me without listening; it felt if he simply didn't want my family to be standing on their parking grounds. Anyways after he was ready to listen I told him that I had an appointment at 2.30 pm for a test drive. and he simply carried on talking without knowing or listening. Again I felt that he was discriminating me and family for our looks. Anyways I showed him the email which was showing the car details and the appointment details. Then, he said oh this car has been sold this morning and I asked him why nobody bother to inform me as I am coming from central Birmingham. The answer was that this is not our responsibility but it is our call center who should have informed you. Afterwards I asked him if he knew of other similar cars within other branches. He said I will check it for you and also added " Do not come inside with your stuff" and the " stuff" was my baby in a pram. This is just so discriminating and ridiculous. Anyhow while this was happening I was standing outside with my father, mother and baby outside in the parking; the salesman didn't bother to invite us in. After 10 minutes, the guy signalled me in the showroom and he gave me the information I needed. However this experience has taught me they are still people out there who do not know how to behave and discriminate people based ont heir looks or status. It is very sad that this guy represents Vauxhall or lookers.

I brought a car from Lookers with a known camera fault on it. When i purchased it, it was agreed that i arrange the repair with Jaguar and the bill would be covered by the dealership. My car is currently sat in the workshop after having the fault repaired, but i am unable to collect my car as nobody at Lookers will respond to them. I have tried multiple times to contact Lookers with responses of 'we will call you back, and this person is unavailable'. I have not received a single phone call back. I am currently without a car as no one at the dealership is bothered. Customer service is absolutely disgusting.
It has now been a full day since I wrote the review, I have been responded to on here and spoke to the delearship manager, and still my car sits in the Jaguar workshop!!!

Purchased a car back in May 2023 and still waiting for the service documentation and it is now Nov 2023! I was told it had part service history but now I have found out that it only has 1 stamp. Dreadful process, many delays, takes ages to get any information and took them over 1 month to prep the car ready for my collection and not all the work was even completed.
I wouldn't waste my time buying a car from these guys.

Would give minus start if possible
Agreed a sale and had all funds transferred, agreed to have the keyless button fixed and a wing mirror painted, we arrived, the button wasn’t fixed and the wing mirror they just put paint over the top, when we spoke to someone they said it will be £500 to paint a wing mirror cover, even had the cheek to say if we don’t want it then don’t take it, would’ve expected miles better service from a main dealer, have had much better experiences with independent dealers, please avoid at all cost

Don’t buy from this garage !! They do a health check before selling the car !! Even though we was told it passed the check and had no issues - later to find out that the break pads where an advisory on this check but hid this from us - has car 4 months and now need new disks and pads as they are below 2mm !!!! Even tho the MOT 3 weeks before lookers sold the car to my son had disks and pads as an advisory!!! Not transparent with customers. Jamie the sales manager is rude and not helpful !!!!! DO NOY BUY FROM THIS GARAGE ! UNTRUSTWORTHY liars

Shane assisted me with the purchase of a BMW 1 Series and was knowledgeable, responsive and went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transaction, obtaining the best price for my part-exchange and managing to acquire some welcome additions to the car prior to collection.

Worse than a back street garage, no exaggeration, and the honest truth! We purchased a 2008 Mercedes C63 from this garage in October 2022 for £15K. The reason we purchased from Looker’s, was due to their great reputation as a main dealer, thinking there would be no one better to buy an older, high mileage vehicle off. We trusted them so much we traveled from Stoke-On-Trent.
Furthermore, we had the vehicle for less than two weeks, and covered less than 500 miles before the engine went seriously wrong. As the car all of a sudden started smoking, misfiring and smelling strongly of petrol. When it starting misfiring badly, it also went through half a tank of fuel in 5 miles.
We contacted Lookers, and they wanted to get the vehicle collected to inspect it. So they collected the vehicle and had their technician inspect it. To our pure disbelief, they said that the vehicle had been through a substantial amount of water and hydro locked the engine. But, as we told them one thousand times over, the vehicle is our pride and joy and only ever seen motorway surface water in the time owning it.
But they refused to understand this, and just kept saying that “it doesn’t have to be deep water, it could just be a puddle”. We’ve got a voice recording of this, if anyone wants to hear it. But, how that makes the vehicle fit for purpose, we don’t know.
So they dropped the car back off at our house, and said the warranty is now void, you’ve on your own. Bear in mind we’re now without a vehicle, and we’ve never been offered a courtesy car.
But, we contacted the AA and the man came out, who use to be a Mercedes Master Technician for LOOKERS themselves! He said straight away, look at my computer system, can you see that injector number 8, is stuck open on full duty and flooding the cylinder!! There is no way that this engine has been hydro locked with water, only fuel. We’ve now gained the report of the AA to back this up. He said it’s a common concern with the M156 engine, if you look online, which it is.
He said take it to a Mercedes specialist, and get them to flow test the injectors and show that it’s hydrolocking the engine with fuel in the 8th cylinder. The Mercedes Specialist has now done all of the above, and we’ve even got a video of him being able to blow down the injector in the 8th cylinder, and air coming out of the injection ports. Which it should not be able to do, as it should old open the ports when a voltage is applied.
The stress it’s caused, for one, of having to use our child's Christmas money funds, to purchase a car to get to work whilst this saga continues. We’re now in the process of submitting a court case, to be able to claim the repair money. Also, in the process of seeing if any newspapers or online articles are interested, as we would never wish for anyone else to go through 4 months of so far stress, with no vehicle.
Also, just to make anyone aware, when you go to submit a complaint with the head office. They just say, “ well in all honesty the complain just goes back to the dealership and the sales manager has to respond”. EVEN though your issue is with that branches sales team, and it’s just like ground hog day, extremely frustrating.
Finally, when they say they’ll get an independent report themselves, they SELECT the reporter, AND they also ‘INSTRUCT’, that reporter to what THEY believe the issue is, in your absence’.
Then to top it all, when the recovery company collected it back of them, the sales manager Dan, said “it should be okay to start up and drive on”, knowing fore-well it could cause major manage to the engine (which it did). But, the recovery company winched it on, as the same guy who collected it from our home, knew the story. It was also deposited on a private driveway, with no prior communication of it being left. The sales manager Dan, just said “if they’re not in leave it”, and who knows where he would have had them leave the keys.
Please do not buy from any Lookers garages, they honestly are terrible! You’d get a better service from a backstreet garage!!!!!!!!
