Left at 10-30 am with added warranty claim to fix the sliding door ( they had tried to fix previously) called 4 hrs later and told there was no promise of completion and it was still in the workshop. I said I would pick up on Saturday morning the 14th, warranty claim not fixed.

Miscommunication via the online VW Service Plan meant I was booked in for a brake fluid change only. When I told them on the day I turned up that I had requested an annual service they accommodated it without question and still got it all done same day. Very much appreciated.

I was invited by Lookers to review them after my vehicle was there on 30 December 2025 for its first service so I will be as constructive as possible as there are various aspects that I am not particularly happy about although granted it is not all bad. So in no particular order first issue was on arrival at the garage and the car park was absolutely rammed full of vehicles with there being no parking spaces at all. In fact it was actually quite difficult to negotiate my way round as some vehicles were also parked outwith allotted bays. I had to park outside the front entrance but did confirm when I tracked down the service agent who was not at his desk that this was fine as they had few jobs on and would be going into the garage soon, fine. I had completed the online check in and made my way home as my wife had followed me there in her vehicle as the location here isn’t particularly convenient for getting back. I got a phone call later in the day to say my van was ready. I had nothing to pay as my vehicle has a VW service plan in force. The service agent was friendly and helpful enough so no complaints there. He fetched my van and brought it to me from a car park situated across the road as again the forecourt car park was clearly full. On my way back home I noticed that my windscreen washers were no longer working, they were fine beforehand as I had used them the day before and also filled the reservoir myself. I tried phoning Lookers service department the following day but it just rang out so I emailed them which is presumably responded to by their Customer Contact Centre in Newcastle and I got a return phone call on Friday 2 January and although the service department was closed I was booked in for the earliest appointment which was Monday 12 January. Today, 8 January I got a text asking me to book my vehicle in for the inspection however I was somewhat perturbed by the nature of the message having followed the link to do so as it read “***DIAGNOSTIC FEE APPLIES***” in bold and with those asterisks. My van is still under warranty and it seems pretty obvious that something was done during the service as it was rather coincidental that the washers worked beforehand and not afterwards. Again, trying to get through to Lookers Service desk in Glasgow proved fruitless as yet again numerous attempts just rang out. Lastly I tried a different option on the call selection and this took me straight through to the contact centre. I was told not to worry about the message regarding the diagnostic charge as this was something that was system generated. He also admitted that getting through to Lookers Glasgow Service desk was like “finding a needle in a haystack”. This is something that clearly needs addressed as I have tried at least a dozen time over the last week or so and each time the call has rang out. As it is I discovered that when I pressed the button for the washers the motor could clearly be heard to be working but not only that the fluid was running out from the front of the vehicle. It was less than obvious how the system worked as the reservoir is tucked way down low behind the bumper but after much Googling I managed to find a website with a full diagram of the washer system. Back out to my van and then I discovered it, for why I do not know, but the electrical connector, hose jet and clip in the photo had been completely disconnected. So replacing this myself my washers are now working again so this saves me the hassle of going back through to van centre and the logistics of going back and forth. At the end of the day this was less than a 2 minute job but has taken me over a week to sort. I cannot comment on sales but service needs to do better! UPDATE - Day after posting review I was emailed and phoned by the after sales manager who apologised for the issues and inconvenience. He has now offered me a good will gesture as a token of apology. Rating has been improved by me as a result.
