McQueen Hair & Beauty Avis 

I had the enormous pleasure of having a cut and colour with Si just over a week ago and am thrilled with the result. As previous reviewers have stated, I feel for the first time in a long while that I came out of the salon with the hairstyle I had hoped for. The salon is unpretentious and relaxed, and all the staff I interacted with were absolutely lovely. Thank you!

My daughter had her hair cut for the first time - she's 14 at McQueens and she's delighted with it.
Si was great; amazing haircut and very professional service. She is so pleased with her new look.

I love having my hair washed. It is so relaxing and I trust Si, my stylist to make a really good job of any cut perm or blow dry that I have. He ALWAYS makes me feel good about myself and at my age that is very important.

The extras - the coffee, hot towels, make the experience one of the best and at the end of the week it really is important.

Not every week but regularly I have my nails trimmed and polished by Natasha - another charming member of the team. I love the fact that I don't feel pressurised into having something outrageous done. This week my nails are a pearly pale blue with some sparkle added.

As I had had a really grotty week I came feeling on top of the world in spite of the appalling weather.

My daughter had her ears pierced today and I was so impressed by Si’s lovely cheerful nature! Such good fun, and really took any fears away! So impressed by the hygiene and care thank you so much Si, total star you are! 😉

What a fabulous experience. 14 year old desperate to have her ears pierced but shy and nervous. Si was utterly splendid - warm, welcoming and made it all really special event. Thank you Si and Mcqueens for making a small thing feel like such a special thing.

I had the absolute pleasure of having Si and Elise do my hair cut and colour today. They listened to everything I requested, offered amazing advice and the result is just simply beautiful. I felt as ease that I was in very good hands and I will certainly be back!

After having such a nightmare with hairdressers and their service and apparently it’s such a difficult thing to find a hairdresser who can cut my hair and shave my side without charging a fortune I decided to cancel my apt with another hairdresser who basically said £70 wasn’t enough and they could see what they can do for that price which left me feeling uncomfortable. However I managed to get a next day appointment with McQueen in Tunbridge wells. I knew exactly what I wanted and they were happy to do this without charging extra to do this. Amelia who did my hair was amazing actually interacted with me and made me feel comfortable, she did my hair exactly how I wanted it and I left a salon finally feeling amazing for the first time since the first lock down, I will definitely go back to see her. This hairdressers actually care about looking after you and understanding your needs. This will be my hairdresser from now on.

Well first service was excellent wanted to see hairdresser again turns out she’s gone , I wanted to look at colour and said I would need to have a “free”consultation to discuss prices
Went saw a girl who basically quoted me the price for full head toner and cut which they could of just told me the price list took a Chunk of my hair to test and then demanded £50 deposit which I didn’t have and was said it was for new customers said I have been here before and she abruptly said “not with me” then got annoyed I couldn’t part with £50 there and then. Also never called me back to say how my test strand worked so she probably just threw it in the bin along with her attitude so I guess I won’t be going back such a shame that customer service is not a thing anymore especially in t wells

Update - Si rectified the situation and I put it down to the girl having an off day , Si understand s the importance of customer service and I’m very happy with the cut and blow dry I had with him so I have adjusted my rating

It was my 10th Birthday. And I went for a pamper session. The staff are so friendly and lovely and listened to what I asked for. They had set up a balloon arch and put sweets and a birthday badge out. And my hair smells absolutely AMAZING!!!! Thank you very much Elise for taking care of me and making me feel special. We will be coming back. 5 star treatment.

First time here. Been a long time since I've had my haircut! There were a few issues about times and a lot of emails / texts which was a little frustrating but no big deal. My haircut and colour was great by Elise - she actually listened to the look I wanted - she was efficient, quick and my hair smells and feels great. Another nice girl washed it and did a head massage which was wonderful. Thank you all. I'll definitely be back.

First time I'd been to Mcqueens, nice chic clean salon with friendly staff....Szandra made me feel very welcome, she was very knowledgeable, my hair smells great, now that I have purchased the Kerastase defense thermique product direct from the salon...would defo recommend to friends

I booked into McQueens TW as my usual hairdresser (The Chapel) was full but was happy to try somewhere new. The place is a bit run down and basic and I was charged £65 for a 25 minute (max) haircut ie a couple of inches trimmed off in a straight line, no actual styling required. This is twice as much as the Chapel for a much worse customer experience so I won’t be back.

Always a pleasure having my haircut here

First visit I was left waiting 45 mins after my hair was washed, but decided to give them another try. Second visit I had a very definite patch after my highlights but they didn't hesitate to tell me to come back so they could fix it when I complained. Unfortunately though fixing the patch felt rushed and the colour didn't lift as much so it still looks a bit patchy. All in all they were all lovely people but I don't think I got good value for money. I am extremely fussy though so it could be me!
