Disappointing Experience at Ealing Branch
I recently visited the Ealing branch for a blunt bob, and unfortunately, my experience didn’t meet expectations. I asked for a very blunt bob, but when I got home and straightened my hair a couple of days later (it was styled in curls at the salon), I noticed that my hair was uneven, with different lengths and an overall wonky shape.
I returned to the salon today to have it rectified, and was told, “I will try to fix it.” However, the stylist didn’t section my hair properly and simply cut along the bottom to trim the longer pieces. Unfortunately, this didn’t fix the unevenness, and I still have noticeable differences in length, with a clear step between the top and bottom layers.
I had also raised a similar concern on the weekend at my appointment, when I noticed my hair looked wonky from the appointment in January, but was told that it was simply due to how my hair had grown.
After seeking advice from a highly recommended stylist at a reputable salon, I’ve been informed that the original cut wasn’t done correctly, and I’ll need to let it grow a bit before it can be fixed properly.
While the stylist who initially cut my hair was very friendly, I’m disappointed with the outcome and the lack of a proper resolution. Given the price point of the salon and the inability to execute a simple cut or rectify the issue, I sadly won’t be returning.

What really made it special though was the extra touch, I was given birthday flowers and chocolates which was such a thoughtful surprise 💐🍫
Highly recommend if you want amazing hair and a genuinely warm, welcoming experience. I’ll always be back!

It’s taken me a while to write this review as I had a very traumatic experience at the Earlsfield salon.
My hair is extremely long - past my bum - and having long hair is my comfort.
In June last year, I thought I’d treat myself to a cut and colour, after not having a healthy haircut since 2021. I’d booked in to the Earlsfield salon as its local and reviews were good.
The initial consultation wasn’t very long and in depth “What colour would you like” & “how much are we taking off”. I asked for only an inch off in the back, as I wanted to keep the length, and a lot more layers in the back so it can hold a curl. Yep. No problems.
She put the colour on quite slapdash, and proceeded to comb the colour through the ends whilst ripping knots out of my hair. It was extremely painful but I let it slide.
The colour was very nice in the end and I was very happy with it.
The cut.. after asking for an inch and layers, she cut a whole 12 inches off. I was not prepared for this so essentially I went into shock. I left the salon and had a panic attack due to loosing 12 inches off my hair.
It has since grown back but I will not be returning and most certainly will not be cutting my hair any time soon

Always used Headmasters with varying experiences,Was reluctant to return , but so glad I did , Bethany in fulham branch was amazing , I left relaxed happy & loved my hair ,Also for 1st time spent less than expected usually I always come out being hit with hidden extras , I braced myself for the bill & got a cherry on top of my wonderful Sundae .Amazing Now I won’t go anywhere else . Bethany Saved headmasters for me .i was One visit away from going to Toni & Guy instead . ( Also a huge plus my hair is wild & thick & intimidates most bc of its texture she was no phased & tamed it beautifully like the pro she is . ) Tight curls with a frizz was light work for Bethany .
Headmasters Crystal Palace !
Headmasters Crystal Palace !! Had my colour done there yesterday and it was gorgeous, my hairs v thick and it meant the stylist ran into a boys haircut , she called them 2 hours before once she’d seen my hair thickness to see if they could come in later, I felt bad for her.
But my hair was simply gorgeous !! Thank you perin !!
Headmasters Crystal Palace
Absolutely awful from Headmasters in Crystal Palace booking my son in for a hair cut for the following day to then call us the next day, 2 hours before and cancel the appointment. This is clearly because a full price hair cut for an adult has been booked in which generates more income. We called up to discus this and hopefully get the same appointment for the same time but got absolutely nowhere.

Weybridge -Reaction to hair colour, no after care, no concern & charged in full
Update 18.04.2026. Still no response from Headmasters despite calling the Weybridge store and emailing customer services.
I visited Headmasters Weybridge for semi-permanent hair colour which I have had twice before. I have been bringing my children to this salon for nearly a decade.
When I arrived, I was 8 minutes late due to partial road closures in town. I called and advised of this. When I arrived I was made to feel very rushed. I wasn't consulted about what I wanted to have done - the stylist Laura just said she would mix the colour the same as last time. She called someone over to start putting the colour on the other half of my head as she was very stressed and rushed. There was no conversation, no offering me a drink - it was awful. A lot of product was going on my skin and on the black cape. I was then left to wait for the colour to develop. No-one checked on me during this time.
When I was called over to the basin, the young lady washing hair was very rough. I told her my head was feeling sensitive and to please use cold water only. She scalded me with hot water. I kept asking her to put it colder and that my head was burning. She then tried to give me a head massage with her very long nails and I jumped up from the chair. I said to her my head was really painful and I had asked her to be as gentle as possible. I explained that I was concerned as I had said that my head was burning. Another person at the basin then said your face and neck are really red. You are having a reaction. This was very alarming to me and I was getting very worried. They still had not called Laura, who had actually put the colour on. Two of the senior stylists Enzo and Jo started talking about how they preferred sweeping the floor to constantly having to make conversation with customers. This was all just hugely unprofessional. I would not expect this kind of conversation to be had in front of clients on a Friday afternoon when they were standing 3 metres apart. I was having a terrible reaction, really upset and concerned and no-one was helping me. The young girl just kept saying you are having a reaction, you can't have colour again. This is appalling. They were saying that I could have a reaction for any reason, it's not their fault. Why not see if if your client is okay before trying to defend your business? I eventually stood up and asked if I could leave. I went to the front desk, they told me how much to pay and let me leave. No instructions for after care, nothing. No-one has called me from the salon since then to check up on me. I think this is the most appalling way to treat a customer. No concern, no care at all. I will never be returning for myself or my children. I have called the salon and out of my 3 visits since June there are only notes made for 1 of the visits. Despite the manager saying notes should be made at each visit. I believe the wrong hair colour was used on my head in January due to the rush Laura was in and that is why I had a reaction. I can only use semi-permanent hair colour and I believe permanent was used instead.
Edit - I raised a complaint on Headmasters website and this has been ignored. The manager of Weybridge Headmasters has said she will look into this and get back to me. However I have yet to hear back.
26/03/26 - still no response from Headmasters Weybridge or Headmasters customer service

Alexis was great
Alexis was great - she made me feel better than I had been feeling about my thinning her. She gave good advice and was very patient and open with seeing how I felt as I went along. I was given a lovely head massage after the wash and fully considered on every step. I did feel when I got home I went too short as I can't fully tie it up which I told Alexis I wanted to do but I won't fault her for this as at the end of the day it was my decision! Very professional pleasant experience overall

Richmond, Surrey branch have the most loveliest hairdresser found in a long time, Peggy is a skilled stylist & colour technician who listened to my requirements from start to finish and also advised on how to correct over time the appalling cut recently given at another hairdressers locally . I’ll be back very soon for my next session with Peggy and can’t thank her enough for repairing the damage done .

March 7th. I telephoned Richmond Salon to make an inquiry regarding best stylist for short,fine hair cut.
I found a lady called Charley who answered my call unhelpful, almost hostile. Despite my descriptions of my hair length Charley was unable to help with my inquiry.

Disturbing behaviour Headmasters soho
I feel the service by this particular hairdresser especially Soho, Ellis the senior consultant is quiet vile and rude to clients, her poor timing keeping between appointments and aggressive tone when questioned, to then have the audacity too continue this rude and shocking behaviour, has fully shown Ellis to be quiet performative and entitled to treat clients this way and present headmaster's and their bullying tactics to be their reputation.

Headmasters soho branch….
I went to headmasters soho branch and the stylist I was booked in with Alice sent me away after I waited 45mins for my appointment. I understand she was busy and she asked me to wait so I did as I use her on a regular basis. However, she refused to cut my hair in an unprofessional manner and she was very aggressive.
I will not be using Ellis again and I will be taking this up to the head branch and I hope they will take this matter as a priority and will take this up with the stylist concerned. Terrible service and I am extremely disappointed especially as I have used her for the last 5 years.
