Such a lovely brand
Such a lovely brand! The products are of really good quality, there's so many styles to choose from, and the staff go above and beyond to ensure you're satisfied.
I had a couple of queries regarding my order (which were mostly because I didn't read my emails properly), to which Abbie and Imogen were so quick to respond to and clarify matters for me - the perfect example of what customer service should look like!
I came across Mermaids Swimwear on instagram and ended up ordering both my swimwear and accessories for O Beach, and I received so many compliments on the day. The bikini set itself was so flattering and the jewellery I bought to go with it were the perfect additions.
Delivery was so swift and the items were all packaged very carefully - the jewellery I ordered was wrapped in bubble wrap and there was additional padding within the box to ensure nothing was damaged in transit.
Prices are so reasonable for the quality of the garments. Will definitely be making this my swimwear brand of choice going forward, and would suggest everyone else does too!

This company removed the hygiene stickers of a return and sent it back to me
I returned a bikini that I only tried on once with the hygiene stickers intact. They removed the hygiene sticker and sent it back to me, claiming the returns process wasn't met. I made two orders of around £150 with them and this is how they treated me. The bikini was in perfect condition because I literally tried it on once. Don't order from them unless you're sure you don't want to return anything.

We appreciate all our customer orders however must treat all customers returns the same.
I have had a look into this case and as explained via our customer care team via email, When processing your return and after our quality control checks, we was made aware that the item was not in resealable condition and the Bambi bikini was sent back to you.
Please note that all the returns go through strict quality check at our warehouse. Our team confirmed that the item doesn’t meet the return standards and unfit for resale due to it being stained in several places therefore we was unable to accept this back as explained in our email contact.
If you have any queries at all please do not hesitate to email us back as we would be more than happy to help.

This review has come a few years late (I think I left one at the time but cannot remember) and crossed my mind the other day. This lovely owner of this brand contacted me personally when Hermes lost my parcel and refunded me the full amount that was lost and was so lovely and understanding. At this time of my like I was a student who treated herself to £120 worth of outfits for a holiday that I had saved up, any other big brand would have ignored me and I would be down £120. As a struggling student at the time, the fact she took the time to reach out to me to take responsibility and apologise even though it wasn’t the brands fault meant so much to me. I have been a returning customer to this day and can say the quality has been absolutely fantastic and has never failed me. Daisy I just want to say thank you so much and I really appreciate your kindness, it’s something that has always stuck with me and I won’t forget her generosity.

AVOID THIS COMPANY - very poor quality goods and when return at your cost, they then con you by saying you don’t meet their return policy and won’t refund you. This is obviously not a one off either as reported by numerous other people on here

incredible swimwear and even better customer service
i found the brand through searching for new swimwear on google and found mermaids. The items i received were all so cute and unique for my holidays. There was a slight issue with one of the items and was resolved in a couple of hours and replacement has been sent out! Incredible pieces and customer service

Avoid at all costs!
Wanted to order from Mermaids for such a long time and finally went for it, but wish I hadn’t bothered. Of 5 items I returned every single one due to poor quality, one of the items also even had stains on. I returned for this reason and they refuse to refund me, even though they sent a damaged item!! All the items arrived creased beyond belief. Save your money and look elsewhere. Only purchase if you’re 100% sure you don't want to return anything.

We do advise on the website if your order has arrived damaged or faulty on arrival to get in touch within 7 days of this arriving.
As we had no contact from you prior you returning your order this item would be deemed as unfit for resale and returned to the customer.
The rest of the items was successfully refunded via your original payment method as they was in a resalable condition.

Evri failed to deliver my parcel correctly. Mermaids were great in sorting everything and actually sent out my order again. Abbie provided great customer service and resolved the issue quickly.

Extremely difficult returns.
Terrible returns.
It is nearly impossible to return items here, beware! Despite listing on their website "easy returns", it is a super complicated process, and the support email admins are extremely unresponsive (they haven't responded to me for 9 days). I would not order from this website again!!

In error I submitted my order twice. I emailed to ask whether one of my orders could be cancelled and a refund issued. Abbie came back to me immediately, raising the issue with the web team to see how it happened and subsequently cancelling the duplicate order, issuing me with a refund. My order was dispatched that same day.
Amazing customer service, will definitely be ordering again.

Their returns policy is totally unclear until you decide to return your items.
Most retailers allow 28 days, this company allow 14 days.
Not realising this I paid £5 to return my parcel to them just to get it sent back to me. Wasn’t even offered a credit note even though I had been away therefore wasn’t able to send it back within their ‘time frame’. You then get sent a generic email with the wrong name on it. No customer service at all. Avoid.
