Absolutely worst company in the country. I would say worst bus company, but they are worse than ANY other company. Disloyal, mentally-imbalanced, ridiculous, petty and vile. I would sooner crawl on my hands and my knees across broken glass than give this miserable excuse for a firm a single penny of my custom. I would advise anyone to do likewise and do my best to persuade anyone thinking of working for them to work for almost literally anyone else.

Cannot believe how you treated this guy. My husband was a bus driver for 40 years so I know what a difficult job it can often be. Mark showed courage and did what ANY DECENT HUMAN BEING WOULD DO and for doing so got sacked. Shame on you. As for the woman who sacked Mark, guess you never have to take buses out so you in your cosy surroundings don't know what these wonderful drivers have to cope with each day. Just to mention a few, horrendous amounts of traffic, diversions, rude passengers, passengers who will not pay. You see Ms Alana Goroch you see none of this. Shame on you. A decent person you are NOT. You think more of the reputation of the Company than the individuals who represent the Company. Well after this your Company no longer has a reputation to be proud of. Quite the opposite.

Just read about the disgraceful conduct from this company who sacked one of their drivers, Mark Hehir, after he stepped in to protect a woman who had had her neckless stolen. The bus driver, Mark, pursued the thief and managed to get the neckless back to the woman but the thief then returned and approached the woman again in threatening manner who was naturally terrified. The bus driver stepped in between the thief and the woman and which point the thief swung a punch at him resulting in the driver instinctively retaliated with a punch that knocked the thief unconscious - an act that the Met Police described as ‘proportionate and necessary in the circumstances’. Mark then also sustained an injury to his hand from the thief’s tooth which became infected and led to him having medical treatment in ICU, nearly losing his hand in the process. His reward for his act of bravery and heroism - sacked by the company for gross misconduct. It is the Metroline that has committed gross misconduct here. Shame on the people in the company that decided to do this - unbelievable really.

Shameful company. Enabling Ms Alina Giroc who has also gone into hiding after her scandalous role in trying to fire a hero. Shame! Shame! Shame!

So let me get this straight, metro line sacked a driver for protecting one of their passengers and acting in self defence under common law, claiming he brought the company in to disrepute. In my opinion, the only people that have brought this company in to disrepute are the managers that sacked him. He was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing and the Met police concluded his actions were proportionate and necessary. What qualification or experience in law do your managers have to elude to the fact that he acted unlawfully! The man is a hero and all you’ve done is support criminals and set a very clear standard that criminals come before your own staff and passengers. I hope you remaining employees see sense and initiate strike action until the managers responsible resign.

Metroline sacks a driver for stopping its passenger from being robbed and attacked. What a disgusting company. What passenger would want to travel with them?!

Are the board of Metroline dismissing themselves for bringing the business into disrepute? I'm guessing that they were not getting so many 1 star reviews before sacking a hero driver.

I would leave zero or minus stars if I could for this absolutely disgraceful and despicable company!!! Run by fools with no common sense or common decency and would rather protect mindless criminals than the safety and welfare of their customers and staff!!! How these "managers" sleep at night is completely beyond me!!!

No longer feel safe using public transport I might need to defend myself against a criminal, but might face getting sacked or worse
