No really customisable and requires alot of online listening time - thus i did not view any videos or podcasts. Reinforced most things I knew, made no real adjustment for menopause. As a result lost no weight for a large cost.

my experience was a slow progression. i surprised myself when i didnt give up. i had a lot to change. my dietitian was very helpful and had some amazing ideas that i put these into my new eating plan. the most helpful aspect is the accountability. the weekly call was always on time, and very positive input was shared by me and Vanessa. i logged my progress and it was satisfying to see my results. not always, but that was fine. i am ready to step back into the real world without the zoom calls, and facebook input. but i have enjoyed the 6 months and find i have made amazing improvements on how i live my life in a more healthy way.

If paying over $900 per hour for a dietician is your thing than go for it. But once you hand over the money to the sales person (who will say what they need to say to get your money) you will never see it again. There are numerous complaints here about the sales techniques used. So be very sure.
The $900 is calculated on a 20 minute call every 2 weeks --a total of 13 calls and therefore 4 hours and 20 minutes. Can you see a dietician for less than that--absolutely.
The content is impressive and is so huge that most people do not fully engage with it. The Facebook group is primarily a venue for people to complain that invoices have not been sent to clients to claim on their health fund.
Does it work--yes, if you can engage with the dietician and follow their advice. Is it worth the money? Absolutely not, you can find a cheaper dietician and many free resources.

My journey to remission was supported by a great program that strives to help people change their mental paradigms regarding diet, exercising and minimising the insidious impact that diabetes can have on lives.
The support of the team, the education and the resources shared were outstanding and I do not believe my results would have been quite so good without the investment in this program.
I found it invaluable to be answerable to a dietician on a regular basis. The two ladies I worked with helped me refine my eating habits to drop my sugar intake, make better choices about what to eat between meals and the importance of creating regular walking habits to do the best thing for my heart. I achieved my goal of losing 5kgs - 1kg per month and my head is in the right place now to maintain this.

Miyagi program changed my outlook on life
I started the program with my health being in such a bad way
From the first phone call from my dietitian Munpreet I slowly started to put small changes to my eating habits
I got to a balanced eating routine and with that my exercise routine improved as well
The information I got from the many sources was very good
I learned that I wasn’t dieting I was just eating in a more balanced way
The benefits I have had from Miyagi have been so positive
I did a table of the benefits I have had
1 - very bad to 10 extremely good
Eating habits. Before 2. Now 7
Energy levels 2. 8
Fatigue. 2. 7
Fitness. 2. 6
Blood sugar. 9 to 10. 5.8 to 6.5 in morning
Blood pressure. High. Normal
I have lost 22kg so far
I am confident I will continue on journey.
Dietitian and I have talked about steps to take to stay accountable
The biggest things for me has been feeling so well The complete opposite to before and
I can now join in more activities and not get so tired as I did before
The decision to do the Miyagi program has been one of the best decisions I have made for a while
If you put the effort into the program you can get so much out

Great program concept and application….. if you are motivated, honest with yourself and do not start by thinking the program will lose weight and change habits for you. I found the program excellent, with weekly dietician catch ups and some great support for food choices, recognition of changes required and exercise programs. The program is chocked full of information and the dieticians are a great motivation to achieve results- whether that be weight loss, forming new habits, stopping old habits or providing yourself with opportunities for a healthy lifestyle. Yes, it is costly, but given the amount of 1:1 support and information, I think this is justified.
Changes have to start from the individual and this program is perfect for those that recognise they need to change and are motivated to put the work into making themselves healthier.
I highly recommend this for people who are keen to make a change!

I found having regular meetings with my dietitian, Gabby, very beneficial. As I tend to struggle with motivation they helped me to breakdown my program goals into more manageable short term goals making them less overwhelming. Gabby helped me to set realistic goals for each fortnight and I learnt to focus only on my objectives for the fortnight.

I completed my program around September ladt year and initially I regretted the amount of money that it cost but as I worked my way through and my thought processes, with the help of Hilary, it became a lot easier for me to understand where I needed to improve. For me it was actually eating better for breakfast and lunch but refining the amount of dinner and I lost 10kgs in the time I spent with Hilary. She was positive and insightful and helped me understand that nothing was bad or wrong. It’s not for everyone but if you really want to help yourself then it can work

Never give up!!
I had a positive experience with Miyagi as I was enlightened through my Nutritionists Georgia and Grace of how to plan my meals. Also all the other benefits that they suggested along my journey. I still refer to my notes and to the resources that are still available to me. I enjoy the Facebook information and cooking tips now just a few more on air frying would help now as just got one for Christmas! Dr Ross" videos were informative and he is very knowledgeable and down to earth. I still have mountains to move but feel that I now have tools to help me with my goals. Wishing you all the very best in your own journey!

Although I didn't lose much weight, I have walked away from this program with extensive knowledge, not only into weight itself, but also my personal medical situation. Lisa was extremely patient, knowledgeable and invested. If I asked Lisa a question and she didn't know the answer, she'd research and get back to me. Having kidney stones for the last 13 years, I've learnt more from Lisa in a couple of weeks, than the doctors told me. Lisa gave me the space and time to really dig into my personal situation, doctors have never done that. Thank you Lisa for your professional and support through my journey

Well, I finished up my Diabetes Wellness program with my Dietitian, Bree, last week and must say I was a bit emotional! Bree has been a great guide and support these past 6 months or so and I've learned a lot, including how to make healthy dietary choices and healthy habits. I just have to learn to look at the small wins and not get overwhelmed by the bigger or longer-term picture.
My main achievement was getting myself from the diabetes range to just under pre-diabetes range (Hba1c 6.8 to 5.9), now I just have to maintain my healthy habits to maintain that or hopefully lower it a bit further so I have more of a buffer.
I've only lost 8 kg in 6 months which I was very patient about at first and have then become a bit frustrated I haven't progressed further or how long it will take to lose another 15-20kg to get back to a healthier weight range for my short 4'11.5" frame! However, Bree assures me this is a healthy rate of weight loss and is more likely to keep it off in the long term.
I feel I am not as sluggish these days and I would even say I feel I have a tad more energy some days but working full-time, bookended by hour-long school runs each weekday (and kids' sports/music on the weekends) means I am generally tired and worn out most days! At least now I have a bit more energy to keep up with my kids. One of my goals for this program was to be around a bit longer for them.
This program is not a quick fix and it's just setting me up for a lifetime of better choices. I know I'll continue to make slow and steady progress and will check in on the Facebook group now and then for support and to keep me on track. Thanks for being a great community 🙂

My Heart Smart Programme
I found on Instagram, contacted the team. I was scrutinised and selected for this programme. I was under no pressure to join. It was my decision and I’m very pleased I did commit! From my experience I didn’t feel there was any pressure.
My dietitian was select Mae W is her name.
Each week we discuss our previously set goals, what positives and negatives happened ie eating too much sugar items or ate lots of fresh grilled fish, salad, had my snacks . My observation, because I am a morning person . I’m awake automatically at 4am it’s important to get up and move. I now do stretches legs, arms and back. I have fresh lemon juice hot water and stir a little natural Tasmanian Honey.
I am still on the programme and I believe it is working for me in various departments. I’ll explain as best I can;
1.) it is Vital to have a Positive Midset
2.) Complete Commitment
3.) Discipline
4.) Follow the Process it’s in the Title of the App….. Healthy. We want to achieve a Healthy Outcome.
5.) The process of being Healthy then becomes your daily routine.
6.) The Psychology of the process is very interesting. With eating sensible foods, your behaviour changes significantly to the positive. Matters that in the past would upset you, don’t anymore. Because I believe my mind is clear to deal with any situation. You become Solution based V’s this is too difficult etc etc.
***** I am about 3 months into my Heart Smart Programme, I have lost weight gradually from 104kg to 95kg. I haven’t really tried too hard, just being Positive, the Right Mindset is Vital.
I also believe drinking water from the moment you wake up is also critical. Hydration is another important focus. I did an experiment for myself just this past Monday. I left for work and immediately I was drinking water. This continued throughout my day till I came home.
I felt I didn’t feel tired in the afternoon, probably I felt more alert.
So to summarise and to be brutally honest, for me the Heart Smart Programme is working for me. I believe it’s brilliant! I also believe you must “connect” with positive people like my dietitian Mae W.
Mae W has a wonderful way and manner on the phone. This motivates me to perform well each week reaching my goals.
So at this point it’s working well for me.
I would highly recommend this programme and when my 6 months is up I will write a new review.
Until then, keep the focus.
All the best

The program was expensive and I was bullied into buying in. It was huge financial commitment that I didn't understand at the time I was pressured. It gave me a lot of financial strain and anxiety. My weight went up because I was too depressed and anxious to enact it. I would never recommend the program because of the business practices. The salesperson should be ashamed. I only just paid the thing off, and I'm finally able to relax about my bills.
The group support on Facebook was a joke. The posts were automatically rejected when key words were used regarding the cost and expense.
The length of the program is unsustainable, and i didn't even get resources I can use later. I can't recall a single recipe I've seen, as opposed to other much cheaper & more successful programs that I've used where I still have a tome of excellent material from.
The utilisation of different advertising names similar to legitimate health organisations on social media is designed to add undeserved credibility to the program. It's trickery. It's deceitful.

Some of my goals were to reintroduce dairy and legumes into my diet and reduce my cholesterol. I’m happy to say I achieved these goals and I’m enjoying immensely such a wide variety of nutritious foods. Besides the support of your dietitian you also have access to lots of delicious recipes to guide your journey. My husband and I are eating lots more fish, tofu and meat free meals. I stopped buying store bought cakes and biscuits and now make my own healthy sweet treats with the recipes provided. Learning how to read labels was a real eye opener. Just because a packaged food is advertised as healthy it’s not always the case. I have also reduced my salt intake because of high blood pressure. I hardly use salt anymore in my cooking and I don’t even miss it. This program teaches you other ways to make your food delicious and tasty without all the salt and sugar. I learned how to calculate my protein intake for the day and also about pre and probiotics for my gut health. My dietitian has also supported me with the consistency of my exercise program.
There is so much I learned over the last six months I could go on and on. I am so glad I took this journey with my dietitian and the Miyagi group, it was so worth it for me. Thank you

My initial goals were to lose some weight, get more healthy, focus on nutrition, be more active and, most importantly, to be a better role model for my kids and a better partner for my husband.
Six months later, I am out jogging almost every afternoon, while hubby and the kids cycle next to me. My family and I are more connected than ever. I have bought aprons for my kids, who now love to help me prepare the fruit and veggies for our meals. I could not be happier.
I have not lost significant weight, but instead have found a better and more conscious way of eating, which I'm confident will support weight loss in the long run.
Where I initially thought this journey was about weight loss, I have found it instead to be about cultivating life-long healthy habits. I am so grateful to Vanessa, my dietician and coach. Her indelible positivity and absolute faith in me, even when I didn't have any in myself, has made this experience possible. If you do join this amazing program, make sure you ask for Vanessa!

Beware! The program is ok but hugely overpriced. It is way more cost effective to see a dietician in your local area at a time that suits you for as long and as often as you require. Here you get a 20min phone call with a dietician once a week at a time that cannot be changed to suit your circumstances, a Facebook group and some worksheets that's it. They insist on taking the full fee upfront either in one payment or in my case outsourced to a credit company and then if it's not working out for you there is no way to exit the program - they have your money and that's it. I finished up feeling I'd been duped. Big lesson learned.

I am a 77 yo pensioner who recently had a cardio gram which returned a less that 100% result so I reached out to Dr Ross Walker as I had concerns about my medications, I was contacted by Miyagi & pressured into signing up for a 26 week program. After thinking about the financial implications, within hours I contacted Miyagi to cancel my participation. They refuse to refund the deposit & not only that continued to debit my account. Their contractuals were not explained to me before them taking the deposit plus they pre-filled my signature. They may have good programs but I would NOT recommend them as my experience has been very unpleasant and uncaring for my situation. They seem to be all about the money with nil concern for a person’s situation

Unethical and Pushy Sales:
I came across this program via Facebook in July 2023 and was interested to find out more about it so answered some questions that led to a phone conversation and additional health questionnaire. The person I spoke with implied that they only invite a few people to their program so hence why they had to triage my initial interest to see if I qualified. According the Sales person I spoke to indicated I that I needed further assessment to see if I fully qualified and what options involving cost due to my financial situation. I spoke with someone who went by the name of Lauren the next day. Lauren grilled me on more information about my goals and reasons for wanting to participate in the program. She used those things to pressure me into signing on to the program. I mentioned that I really needed to lose some weight as I had suffered significant stress related to anassault, relationship breakdown, mental health issues related to my job as a social worker and increased isolation and impacts associated with the COVID19 Pandemic leading me to change jobs at the beginning of the year. I also wanted to look and feel healthy so I could pursue a new healthy relationship by feeling confident to date again.
She used tactics when I said I did not have the financial capacity to pay for the program that I could not afford to not do the program and it will only cost the price of one of two take away meals a week. When I said I wanted some time to digest and process what we discussed before I decided, she mentioned that the offer would only be available once as they have some many people on their list waiting for an invitation to the program. She also said that I they offered interest free to pay for the
program so I could participate immediately. As I was worried about my health and wanted to make a change very desperately because of the trauma I was processing and because I felt like I was being coerced by the tactics used by Lauren into feeling guilt and shame if I did not sign up, I reluctantly agreed to sign up.
Lack of Specialised Support and Tailored guidance in alignment with my goals:
I was asked to complete some blood tests at the start of the program. These were to inform the Dietitian in how to best support me and provide me with a tailored program based on these results. At no point did my dietitian Vanessa ever refer to these test results to help suggest food and meal plan options. Vanessa, while being very pleasant and nice in her manner towards me was not very
helpful in providing me with the necessary tools and strategies for me to achieve my goals. She provided very basic well-known information and generic sheets rather than tailoring a meal plan to really help me where I most needed. I provided her with a significant information via our conversations, completing questionnaires and sending pictures of food I preferred and tried once or twice so that she could gain insight to better support me. I even expressed to her that what I really needed was a structured meal plan based on her knowledge of my preferences that would assist me to lose weight. She never provided me with the service I was requesting instead she emailed generic Myagi coach information sheets. I also expressed to her the difficulties I was having with my psychological health that was impacting on my habits and choices and that I was feeling more disempowered by the week as I was unable to lose any weight. I gained weight and my health is much worse. I also informed her that I felt that I was not able to effectively participate because of my mental health deterioration and the financial stress I was going through was causing extra pressure. Vanessa sent me information about mental health helplines which as a qualified Social Worker, already are aware of and that is not the support I needed. I already have a qualified psychologist who was treating me a year earlier that I
had to cease due to my financial situation. Vanessa agreed that she believed that participating in this program was not going to be beneficial given the state of my health and complexity of my circumstances and mentioned she had no control over how to cancel my involvement in the program or options available in terms of a refund etc. She stated she would refer me to the customer service team to discuss. She did not refer me on the call to them and then hung up. I contacted the team myself via email and explained my circumstances and they refused to offer any form of refund and attempted to coerce me into continuing to engage with the Dietitian and said she was qualified enough to support me. I called them out on this and as a result they offered to suspend my participation for a month. That was the only option. I do not wish to be harrassed to be in a program that has made my life worse. Reported to ACCC.

So my journey with Miyagi comes to an end. I've joined the program after my blood tests show High cholesterol and Blood pressure and prediabetic. Being a shift worker with no eating or sleeping pattern it got worse when I've torn my meniscus and had surgery in May. Lucy my Dietician gave me some guidance in my new journey to a better health...
But a massive shout out to Clare for all your amazing support and enthusiasm. Thank you so much for keeping me on track, teaching me so much and coming into my life.
My last blood tests show everything is now in normal range. My energy and fitness level have increased considerably. I can't ever express how grateful I am to Clarefor always answering my questions and firmly encouraging me to do what needed to be done towards my goal.
Thank you to Miyagi tools and all the wonderful fb people for allyour support and some very yummy recipes.
Being educated and knowing the who's and how's is exactly what the Miyagi program ... and Clare of course provided me.
If you've tried everything and nothing worked... you most probably haven't tried the Miyagi program!!
