We're different to other sellers of protective wear. We're not interested in the run-of-the-mill, and we don't set out to do cheap. We sell only the best gear: the most technical, the most protective, the most stylish, and the most comfortable. We're never swayed by what the manufacturers tell us sells best; we're motivated only by finding what's new, what's different, and what works. Our typical customer has probably grown out of sports bikes, and today rides something sit-up: a naked bike, a cruiser, a sports-tourer, an adventure bike, a retro-styled machine, or perhaps even a genuine classic. He is older than the average biker. He likes to make a statement, both in what he rides, and in what he wears. We are also, we’d like to think, a notch or two above your average dealer when it comes to ladies’ wear. And that may have something to do with the fact that we are owned and run by a woman: Sara Linney. We’ve put together a terrific collection for female riders and pillions. I always like my visits to…

I always like my visits to motolegends,in the past have spent literally thousands in the shop, I understand the new model of serving a few people at a time in the actual shop at a particular time,the shop floor is not actually that large,so makes for a comfortable shopping experience, however in the past year I have brought shoei helmet and summer riding jeans almost £1000 unfortunately wasn't able to get the time off for a visit during the week,so brought from another retailer on a Saturday when I'm not working, I'm sure this is the same for lots of potential customers, I'm not sure of a solution to this small problem.maybe a larger outlet?
I will continue to support motolegends when I can as the product knowledge from the staff is first class,the staff are very friendly and professional.
My last visit recently was to purchase a pair of Daytona boots which I probably will not wear until the coming winter, I actually had business in Guildford so took advantage to make a visit to motolegends.
Thanks once again for the help and advice on my latest purchase

I just needed to get this off my chest…

I just needed to get this off my chest about MotoLegends because honestly, they’ve turned into a joke of their own ego. It’s like they’re parading around as if they’re the bloody kings of customer service, but all it comes across as is arrogant and downright pathetic. I’ve dumped thousands of pounds on gear from them over the years, thinking they were decent, but after what I experienced today, I’m done. I went in to buy a helmet and was told to wait for an hour—an hour! And then to top it off, I wasn’t even allowed to look at anything else because of “safety” or is it just a lack of trust in there customers. This will be the absolute last time I step foot in MotoLegends, or should I say Moto Arrogance. They’ve lost a loyal customer, and they deserve it.

A clear case of the kettle calling the pot black!

Mr. Baulch is known to us. He has been a customer of ours, on and off, over a period of years. He has been to the shop on no less than eight occasions, and so full well knows all about our 'one-to-one' service, and how we operate.

He turned up at the shop on a particularly busy Friday afternoon. Everybody was serving customers, so there was nobody in the shop to attend to him.

Which is exactly what our young lady on the door was in the process of explaining to him when he barged past her, and marched into the shop. She followed him to the helmet wall where he had installed himself, and asked him if he would perhaps like to get a PFS helmet fitting. But as everybody was currently occupied, she asked if he would be kind enough to wait in our waiting room. She offered him tea or coffee. (There was, by the way, no mention of having to wait an hour). Mr. Baulch mumbled something under his breath, and stormed off, stating only that he would be returning to his car.

We are very happy with the way our shop operates. It’s the personal service we offer that causes people to come and see us from all over the country; and not infrequently from overseas. And it’s why our shop is often busy when others are not. But it matters not how far you have travelled, there will sometimes be occasions where you will have to wait to come into the shop.

But Mr. Baulch had not travelled far. In fact, he had only come from Leatherhead, but it would appear that his ‘amour propre’ was dented because he wasn’t accorded the automatic right of passage that clearly he felt was his due.

And so I think it a bit rich that Gary should accuse us of arrogance. We were simply conducting business in the way that we always do. Mr. Baulch, by contrast, behaved in somewhat of a oafish and aggressive manner; adopting a tone that might indeed accurately be termed arrogant.

I have written to Mr. Baulch to let him know that we have closed his account, and that he is no longer welcome in the shop.

Waterproof Summer Gloves

I wanted some waterproof summer gloves so I went through the information and videos to see what recommended etc and ordered a pair of Dainesse Teyde gloves. They arrived promptly and are very comfortable. Haven’t been able to test the waterproof qualities yet as it hasn’t rained since I got them but as we’re in Britain I shouldn’t have to wait long! Overall another excellent experience.

Intercom System

I managed to book an appointment at short notice to have an intercom system installed. Being a relative newcomer to biking, the technical assistance received to ensure I purchased the right system for my needs was invaluable. It was quickly installed and the operation was explained in straightforward, practical terms. Always better than trying to understand the instructions.
I decided to go for the Sena 605 and have used it several times.
Excellent product.
Great service as ever.

Motolegends: They are simply LEGENDS!

I have dealt with Motolegends now for a while and have purchased a few things from them, and their service has been brilliant and amazing - even when I have had to change sizes because of my poor measurements! Along with their regular emails and cool on-line videos, etc - what can I say, if you have a motorbike, don’t go anywhere else.
My only issue is that I have not yet visited them in person - something I hope to rectify soon!

Happy with good motor cycle clothing.

From the Netherlands I stopped at Motolegends on a trip to Wales. I heard and saw a lot of the shop on YouTube and hoped they would help me with new garments.

I succeeded, or rather they succeeded, finding garments that suited. So I am happy that I visited the shop, for a cup-of-tea, good information and when I left full bags with motor clothing.

I arrived on a pre booked PFS appointment having ridden with a friend from Suffolk. We were immediately welcomed with a coffee and biscuit and throughout the service was excellent. The PFS service I would highly recommend. I also purchased the new alpinestars air vest and a few other bits and pieces with great advice from the team. At the end all the kit was boxed up and posted home as we were riding home. Motolegends knowledge, advice and service lived up to our expectations again which is why we are happy to travel a couple of hours. They are simply the best at what they do.

Disappointed

I’ve bought gear from Motolegends a few times now and not had any issues.
Around 3 months ago I decided to purchase a pair of Rukka themog + gloves, for winter use on Blood bike rides.
Rukka gloves are advertised as having a two year guarantee.
I wore them for a few days out on dry cold days and all was good.
On cold v wet day, I noticed water ingress on dual carriageway at speed.
This gradually got worse during the day, the gloves were absolutely saturated by the end of the day.
I reported this to Motolegends, I was asked to test them again, before returning them.
“Fair enough “
So a month later again on shift, I was on the M4 in heavy rain.
I noticed rain entering the fingers of the left glove.
This got worse during the drive, the glove was soaked.
I again reported this to Motolegends and was asked to return them.
A week later I was contacted by a representative, I was told the gloves didn’t leak and that I was probably not wearing them correctly!
I’ve been wearing motorcycle gloves since I was 16, I’m now 62!
I bought the gloves to use with a Rukka Nivala suit with double cuffs.
Motolegends returned the gloves and advised to send them to Gore-Tex if I wanted them tested.
So Motolegends after spending hundreds of pound with you over the years, I will take my business elsewhere from now on.
Potential buyers need to be aware that Motolegends are fine until you have a problem.

"Motolegends is fine until something goes wrong" is a refrain that we've heard before, but neither on Google nor on Trustpilot does this accusation stand up to examination. Nobody has a higher service rating than us on either platform; and indeed it is the quality of our service through good times and bad that causes people to come back time and time again. But sometimes when somebody doesn't get the result they want, they can lash out; and that is what Mr. Barker is doing here.

We have tested his gloves in Guildford; and can be pretty certain that they don't leak. The problem, we suspect, is that Mr. Barker bought the wrong glove for his needs. His jacket is a Rukka Nivala, and these gloves simply won't work with that jacket's Gore-Tex, inner cuffs. The Thermo-G glove has a knitted cuff, and in the rain if that cuff is exposed it can get wet. And when this happens the rain can run into the glove itself. And here the cuffs of the glove would undoubtedly get wet because the Nivala has particularly short sleeves. (The inner Gore-Tex cuffs are longer but, as we've suggested, they are not compatible with these gloves).

One issue here may well be that Mr. Barker bought these gloves on a 'Price beat'; and sometimes when people do this they end up buying the price rather than the glove.

But if Mr.Barker thinks his gloves leak there's an easy resolution at hand. The glove is a Gore-Tex one, and so is guaranteed to be waterproof for life. You send the glove off for free independent testing; and if the test house finds they leak, they will tell Gore, and Gore will send you a replacement pair.

It's a straightforward and simple process; and this is a guarantee that stands up. Gore is rich enough not to be interested in wriggling. If a product leaks, they replace it. Job done. The only issue here is that Gore will not deal with retailers; they will only work with the end user, which we explained to this customer.

I am not really sure what Mr. Barker's problem is. Is he upset because we won't take back a product that we are convinced isn't faulty? If so that's unreasonable and unrealistic. The solution to this situation is very simple, however; as we have outlined here. There's just no need for such a hullabaloo. Just get on and get them tested. That will resolve the matter one way or the other.

I’ve replaced most of my old riding gear with quality items from Motolegends. The service is prompt and simple.

Just Brilliant

The YouTube videos convinced me that these guys know their stuff, so I rode down from Cheshire today to get kitted out. The place met and surpassed my expectations. I rode there cold, and rode home lovely and warm. Alex was helpful and attentive and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Motolegends are providing a first class service backed by first class products. When the price is no more than you would pay mail ordering from any of the superstores, I just can’t see any reason to not go to this brilliant shop. Really happy customer. 👍

Long time customer

I’ve been a Motolegends customer for years now, even when I was living in the US full time I would always make time for a visit to the shop when in the UK.
It doesn’t matter if you are in the shop or dealing with one of the customer service advisors the experience and service level is always outstanding. Can’t say enough good things to be honest. Even if a product lets you down, Motolegends won’t. Five star.

The Ultimate Bike Clothing Shopping Experience

This has been our go to bike clothing store for many years. Excellent customer service with attentive staff. This is not your typical clothing store. You experience a personal service where the staff ensure that what you want fits correctly and they will offer alternatives if the fit in your particular choice of clothing doesn't. The wife and I came away with various items of clothing and new helmets that we wanted and the staff made the necessary adjustments to ensure correct fitting. This is not a walk in and browse store so you need to go in with some idea of what you want. But it was well worth the journey to Guildford.
