Please, trust on negative reviews
I didn't believe on the negative reviews until I experienced the pain of receiving the messages telling that my degrees haven't been recognised.
I got super frustrated because I studied during years really hard, I made my dissertations and achieved First-class honours to have my diplomas considered like "fake".
I'm from an EEA country and all of my qualifications have been refused by this company and I think that happened because I studied on private institutions and probably they don't have an updated database.
I just want to share useful information regarding your qualifications: don't waste your money with this company. Do official translations (it's expensive but life saving) and send all directly to the universities because they'll be accepted. If you don't want to study or spend a lots of money, send to the colleges that offer level 7 and level 8 othm diplomas and for a small fee you will get UK degrees.
Today I received the great news that my qualifications have been accepted as entry requirements by the university and now I hopefully will do my doctorate.

Your reply tells everything about your "modus operandi". Why I would spend huge amounts of money and time attending on-campus classes, elaborating and defend a dissertation on viva voice to achieve a non regulated degree?
You really enjoy to offend people accusing of fraud and you like to try to damage the others reputation. In this case, now you are arguing against the credibility of one of the best universities in UK because their admissions team accepted my degree as internationally recognised and I have been admitted for Doctorate yesterday. How can you tell my degree is not regulated and officially recognised by my own country? Yes, I studied in a private University because it's normal on most of the EEA countries. Like the public universities, the private universities are recognised as part of the national education framework. They're famous for providing better services because they have high recruitment standards and only the best profissionals with an honourable academic career (First-Class Doctors and Higher Doctors) are tutor's and the students pay more for their education not only to cover the professor's wages but also to achieve better status on the professional world.
In order to improve your services I would like to suggest that you some research on the educational systems of different countries to be able to update your database and meet satisfactory procedures.
Most important, I also hope that you change your way of interaction with your customers.
It's necessary to be super kind to be as polite as possible to deal with the rudeness, especially from a few members of your staff who unfortunately forgot that kindness and good manners are free.
I wish that in a short period of time that you make some personal and professional improvements in order to treat your customers fairly, always with some moral values present: equality, respect for diversity, generosity and compassion.

Time wasting, borderline extortion.
EDIT: The company was eventually too late sending the certificate we needed. We submitted the application without it. It was successful. So, complete waste of money.
Firstly - no point recommending or warning off this company. If you're applying for a UK visa/citizenship you really have no choice but to pay them just short of £200 to look at your degree documents and declare 'yes, this person speaks English'. But this insane Home Office bureaucracy isn't Ecctis' fault. Other things are their fault though.
My wife submitted her Dip.Ed documents, and 1 week later we got a message saying this wasn't a recognised degree. Fair enough - we immediately submitted her BSc documents instead, as requested. More than a week passed with no update. Then a status update saying 'Yes We Can Do', and nothing else. Then after contacting them to see what was going on, we got another message saying the same thing - 'the Dip.Ed is not valid, but the BSc might be. So....would you like us to look at the Bsc...?' At this point I'm seriously wondering where our £180 has been spent.
We reply - YES, please do your thing with the documents that you asked for and that we provided immediately! By this point, we only had two weeks until our appointment with UKVI. And then another week later, 48 hours before the appointment, we get a message saying it's going to take another 9 days, BUT, if we fancy paying double or triple, we can have it quicker.
So, either this company deliberately plays games to try and extort the fast-track fee, or it's grinding its poor staff into dust with so much demand that their reasoning and response times are completely shot. Either way, it's been a truly infuriating and ludicrously expensive experience.

Waste of time
Although I have provided them with all the documents that they have repeatedly requested, they still couldn't recognize my diploma. It has been 5 months since my first application and all these time I was back and forth with emails between them and me and the school. There was always an excuse for more documents, transcripts etc. which I managed to find and provide to them. So frustrating, so disappointing and such a waste of time.

Not trustworthy
A six year degree in Medicine in University of Tirana in Albania is evaluated as a 2 year Higher education Diploma. The evaluation is based only on the name of the degree "Diploma in Medicine with title General Practitioner", not in the program. I graduated in 2003, in Albania and the word "Diploma" was used for any degree of duration of 4-6 years). The new system of naming qualifications based on Bolognia process came in force the year after 2004 in Albania. I got a document from Ministry of Education in Albania stating that my qualification is at Masters level. This wasn't considered by UK NARIC. I called them and their reply was that maybe I was taught in a college rather than university, the reason for evaluating as Higher education diploma.
Therefore, my conclusion is that UK NARIC bases their evaluation only on the name of the qualification not on the program.

Stay away from these scammers. They only collect money. All they can say is 6 year M.Sc degree elsewhere is comparable to 3 year UK Bachelors degree. Since when?

Long time to have a response
Since 2018 I can't have any response.
This year enquire got replied 7 weeks later aslking for documents, sent the same day.
Then today, after two months and two update requests by email, I am trying to phone (already 4 times today) NARIC but nobody replies and then the line drop.
It is a shame that nobody cares about foreign workers coming into Ireland.
UPDATE: after this review someone replied to my fifth call of the day and now going further with my application.
I think you have problem with your internal management system instead of trying to make me feel guilty, try to reply to enquiries in a proper way.
UPDATE: once replied to my enquiry they were quick and professional. The main issue seems to be the way they use their CRM system.

Stay away from this scam of a company
This company is honestly an absolute joke and scam. My case has been going on for over 6 months and I've decided to terminate it. This institution shouldn't even exist. They take the money and when they say they can't do the service it's non-refundable .
There's a lack of clarity in terms of what I needed from the start and there were just messages going back and fourth. Please stay away from them because once you start it's a never-ending battle which will take months.

Excellent service
Recently I have applied for English proficiency assessment through NARIC. I was very much worried after seeing the reviews and ratings. However NARIC team did their best. I was given completion date as 19th of March but they have completed the assessment by 16th and I have received my certificate on 17th of March. Would like to thank Hanh for being so support giving me confidence that I have sent them all the necessary documentation. Just small advice every country education system is different so if NARIC team mentions what all documents should be submitted it would be more helpful. I would definitely recommend UK NARIC...

Better avoid them
A bit disappointed. Took them two weeks to say that can't accept my bachelor's degree. Would be better if you have a list of the countries/uni that you would accept before paying for the service.

Not worth a star at all!
Not worth a star I’m afraid. Nothing about NARIC is trustworthy. I was informed that I don’t need IELTS Test as long as I have a Bachelor Of Science Degree. After a month or so, I followed up and they said it wasn’t enough. A ‘Medium Of Instruction’ letter was asked for. Ok fine, fair enough. I had to obtain it from my school in the middle of the first lockdown. It took a lot of processing, fees and long distance calls. But I got it for them along with a Certificate from CHED (Commission On Higher Education), authenticated by the DFA (Department Of Foreign Affairs) of my country itself. Another month- nothing. Followed up again, this time they said they need 4 months to research. Hmmm... Why ask for a document that you need to research for that long? 4 months over and now they apologise for the ‘miscommunication’ and that I need a PHD. Wow! Right... one PhD coming right up?! They might get lucky to be able to pull that out of their behind instead! So then back to where I started out with them... Telling me to take an IELTS. 6 frigging months! There goes my wedding date! Thanks a lot, if I was pregnant, my baby will be born out of wedlock! What makes them think that apologies and refund are enough to compensate that?! Not to mention the effort and runaround they put you through? Someone’s head should roll for this kind of BS. Here’s to you Naric: Get off your useless auto replies that you rely on so much and do some real work! You mention options that doesn’t even help at all when it’s not really an Option! It doesn’t make you look or sound anything close to being professional. You ask people to upload new documents when that ‘window’ is no longer in your system. How can people then check or update as you asked? Interesting that all THIS is coming from a supposedly International Office representing one of the most powerful countries in the world.
UKVI shouldn’t even bother requiring NARIC Letters. Naric itself cannot even understand what they are asking for needing months on end of research on it! Research first before asking for a Document!
I’m adding in this paragraph after a few hours of receiving a request to provide more info to Naric to ‘help’ them understand and verify my experience with them. Sorry but I am done ‘helping’ Naric. I see from their replies here that they are just trying to cover their own bases to defend themselves. They’re not helping anyone but themselves.

This is my first time of dealing with NARIC and I must say I have been served with a good quality service delivery. Regular updates mixed with delivery of final service a day before the actual promised delivery date was superb. One cannot get better than that. If I could give no stars I would ! They told me what price I would have to pay to get my australian plumbing certificates recognised for plumbing in the uk so I paid it then they when that was completed they said that was step 1 now to move onto step 2 which was about £600. I emailed them telling them I was a refund as they never explained that it was going to be more than one step and cost that much. Then when told I would be given a refund less “administration fees” which I wouldn’t even of gone ahead with it all if I had know how much it would of cost. And it has taken 10 days to finally get a refund oh half my money. Pack of thieves

Replying to the reply: Never once did I receive a price or did I see one on your website. I asked for one but was only ever told about the £120 fee which I was more than happy to pay, then once I found out around the next payment of around £600 it was too late to get a full refund because it was never fully explained to me.

Very pleased with the speedy services
I am very pleased with U.K. NARIC’s services. I applied to them to certify my bachelor degree overseas is equivalent to a bachelor degree obtained in the U.K. I applied a few days before Christmas and their website indicated that they were closed until after the new year. To my surprise, I received an email from them 2 days after my application saying that my certificate is on its way via the Royal Mail. Their online system is very clear and easy to use, and allow me to track every step of my application as well as the delivery status of my certificate.

I had a positive experience with UK NARIC
I wanted to write this review as I was quite anxious before using their services due to the poor reviews around here, so here is my story.
I have created easily an account, submitted the scanned my bachelor's diploma and the transcript around 28th December 2020. The diploma was in my native language (European language) and the transcript was both in my native language and in English, so I was unsure whether I should pay the translation fee or no, but in order to avoid delays I decided to pay for that as well.
The website clearly stated that between Christmas and New Year their office was closed, so I got a reply confirming that my request was in progress on 6th January.
On the 7th January I was informed that a refund was processed to return the translation fee (minus an admin fee) as my transcript was already in English. I really appreciated the proactive approach, but it would have been even better if the website would be clearer when you need to pay for this fee (e.g. in my case the transcript being already in English) so that I avoid this admin fee - but no biggy, it wasn't the end of the world as it was just £10.
On the 8th January I was informed that the request for the Statement of Comparability has been completed and it was mailed to me.
Today 9th January, I received via Royal Mail.
Overall I was pleased with the speediness of the service, the communication (I received email notifications every time a new message was received in my UK NARIC account) and the proactive attitude about rectifying the unnecessary purchase of the translation.
For UK NARIC - I would recommend adding more clarifications about when to purchase the translation service.
For those that might need to use the service and might be concerned about the bad reviews - there is clearly a difference in experience from person to person, so try to don't fret - at least this is what I would have liked to hear from other reviews when I purchased the services. (Although I guess we are more likely to give reviews when we receive horrible service than when it all goes smoothly..)

Westing of Money ..BAAAAAD and USELEESSSS
For the Statement of Comparability they don't check anything, so they don't contact or verify your degree with the University and the rest for the other qualifications.
For a verification they will ask you 220£ which is collecting all the information from you and than send an Email to the University asking them to fill-in a form and this will take more than 2 Months .Ridiculous ..British Standard ....I have no words!

I have a double degree in Theology and English Language and Literature. I have attached everything they have requested and still they have come back as incomplete application. I have waisted about two month when I could have taken an exam to prove my level of English. Service and info are incorrect.
