Poor quality damaged all 4 alloys fitting 4 tyres
So I had some reasonably cheap tyres fitted using tyre shopper website ordered online paid and had an appointment to come to this garage and have them fitted they fitted the tyres and all seemed ok the weather was really bad so couldn’t really see the rims to well and they were covered in grease or brake dust etc didn’t expect the garage to damage the alloy in the process of fitting 4 tyres anyway yes they did all 4 in fact 😡 girl behind the desk wasn’t particularly nice and think she’s now working in bishop but anyway just thought I’d post some pictures of the damage to all 4 alloys from this company to make other aware be careful letting them do anything if you care about your wheels there’s damage on every wheel around the centre bore from digging out the centre caps with a screwdriver and damage to 3 or the edges from ripping off the original weights to balance the definitely zero care was taken to do this job but as they say pay cheap pay twice and pay peanuts get monkeys totally my fault for even considering using them but I would never use this company again for anything very poor cheap enough tyres but now £400 in alloy refurb save your money using these clowns go somewhere else 👍🏻
Not Good.
Booked for a possible TPMS fault and puncture. When picked vehicle up got an invoice for a puncture. As the puncture was in the sidewall I was surprised. Consequently the tyre deflated. As I have no confidence in the branch at Durham have booked with another tyre shop.

My daughter was a student in Durham, her car was taken in via breakdown recovery for the front left snapped suspension coil to be repaired we used these guys we do not live locally and she had her MOT booked in with them, normally we stay clear of such establishments as they then to be very over priced, £801.30p later!!!. I eventually queried the costs as set out on an emailed receipt from Mark and Daniel. I called Mark after we had paid a month later due to working away to express my concern that they had charged for a air tank compressor on her C4 Catus, this was following an independent check by a local garage an independent check with RAC and a call to Citroen UK who all confirmed this car does not have air suspension the only thing that was new was both front springs. Upon querying this Mark became defensive, said he discussed the price, (he did not) and swore blind he never sent the receipt, emails have a history stamp as does you inbox Mark. He then followed to send a second receipt which had been changed to remove the compressed air system, albeit the same price. We went round in circles he contunuisly lied siad we were wrong, event though we have the doucmnets to prove otherwise, to the extend I informed him I was raising a dispute with Halfords customer services as I feel with have been over charged, lied to and ripped off. Halfords are looking into this along with my report sent to trading standards and the motor ombudsman. I would recommend staying clear of these bandits and use a trust worthy independent garage.
Half a job
I took my car to get two new front tyres put on. Told the job was done and took the car home. Over the weekend my steering felt heavy. checked the pressure and it was down to 18psi from 32psi. I blow my tyre back up. And in the space of 24 hours I lost another 6psi. So took the car back to be told they couldn't look at it. It had to be booked back in. So took it back the next day. Left it, then told it was the valve and it was sorted. They hadn't even put new valves on when they put the new tyres on. Told me it had been sorted. Got up the next day and the tyre had lost 6psi again. When I checked, They still hadn't even put a new value on. So Ive now got a car with a constant slow puncture. And not once have they apologised for the inconvenience of running around. I'm now going to have to keep pestering them to get it put right. I've got a young family and work full time. Don't have time to be running around after them. So would not recommend this company. Bunch of cowboys.

Beward of Mark Robinson and his band of cowboys
Took the car this morning for an mot on arrival to be greeted with upselling from Mark Robinson. He asked mot and a flush. The flush was declined. I asked for the wait time again rude we will call you. He was rude to my partner for cancelling the flush. After waiting 3 hours we get the call to pick up. Supposedly they pushed in an oil change too which we did not request in fact my partner cancelled by phone. I went in to pick up and to question the oil change. MARK ROBINSON usual manner started arguing with me after I questioned it. Accusing me of all sorts. He told me to get out. He name is getting thrown everywhere now for his downright horrible shady behaviour and frankly He has made enemies across durham. Also as per looking at my car it seems they have damaged my vehicle as there is a dent in the bodh work and hefty scratches. I think people should really really stay away from these cowboys. I have everyones names from this garage if anyone wants to know who these people are behind the scenes. They have done this to the wrong person as now il be contacting every legal source and solicitors now.

Very negative reception
I was told to leave my car that they would call me after they had taken a look. I asked roughly how long again same answer we will call you.
After killing time out in the cold weather sill no phone call, approaching 3hrs. I decided to go back to ask if they had taken a look, Again same reply given
no we will call you was the same reply with a cross attitude. Disappointed
I asked for my car key back which he did in a flash nothing said in fact
I strongly feel that that was the aim.
If they didn't want to do the job they should have said. Worst service ever.
A depressing place to be.
The reply to this review was that they want to provide an excellent service and to do this for me to provide them with my booking reference number this is not possible as after having my car all morning they had still not taken a look therefore I'd not been given a reference number.
I suggest that if they want to rectify this kind of failing don't take the customers car from them
Then leave us hanging around all day without even taking a look or if they've not got the time just let the customer know then they could make alternative arrangements instead of hanging around not knowing what is happening.
My conclusion is that if you go for tyres maybe ok, that's quick and easy compared to what I needed an exhaust so I say again if they can't do it don't take the car. Simple.

Took my Mini JCW in for a MOT only a few years old with 30,000 miles on the clock. They failed my car saying the Brake disc significantly and obviously worn nearside front inner, inner surface heavily corroded. Total cost to repair £747.00 quite shocking considering I have just had the front brakes pads changed in July of this year. I found this hard to believe given the mileage. I removed my car from them immediately to get a second opinion and yes the car passed its MOT as There WAS NO BRAKE DISK WORN. The garage also informed myself if this had been the case the cost would have only been around £350.00 NOT £747.00. I have reported them to the Driver & vehicle Standards Agency and the trading standards. Trying to take full advantage of a young female taking her car in for MOT or any repairs they are intent on totally ripping you off.
As requested I have updated the information you requested. Yet no response from you. Unbelievable.7 days since you asked for my details Still NO response from you.

Awful customer service
I took my car for repair to National Tyres in Durham. When they called me back with information on my car the caller said he was from Halfords. So National Tyres is part of Halfords.
When I went to pick up my car I got a Receipt. Now most receipts give you details of the purchases or services provided. Not this one. It showed the total cost plus VAT. I asked for a breakdown and was told I could see it online.
I tried on line but as I do not have an account I contacted them through their chat service. Halfords. After giving the agent every detail of my car, my personal details and their receipt number. He tells me my details do not match that repair. He said he would have to pass it up the chain. I told him the information I wanted. Cost of the parts and labour charges. I left it with him.
A few days later I got an email from Halfords with a document attatched. Great I thought. I opened the document and it was exactly the same Receipt document I already had. So Mr chat could not have passed on my requirements or the sender didn't understand what was required.
I replied to her reiterating the info I required i.e. cost and labour charges.
I am still awaiting a reply. In the meantime I emailed them again, still nothing.
I then contacted Halfords customer services. I explained the situation I had had. She told me she would contact the person that emailed me. I gave her a reference number that Mr Chat gave me. 22908754 Case numberi She said that they would be in touch....hey ho nothing happened.
What a shower of losers. Had I known Halfords were involved I would not have touched them with a bargepole.
Reply to response. It looks like a bog standard response and as one review said reply and nothing happens. But here goes. My receipt number is 305/9008806. This is the job no. and is the only reference that I have. My chat experience reference no. was 22908754. This is all that I have. The email I received was from Georgia Flavell at halforfd autoservices customer services. Case N. 22908754. Let's see if you come back with a further response with the information I requested in my bad review.

If I could give it 0 stars I could. I was booked for a service which they said they didn’t even though I had the email confirmation. They then wanted me to wait ten days for a refund! I am beyond angry, no apology, no offer of another service and to wait for a refund for a service not received is disgraceful. I will not be using again and will be telling everyone I know.

Just don’t bother
Since Michael and his team have left I have used the Sherburn Rd National Tyres twice. One to get a set of new discs and pads and two to get them to fix the cock up they made of the fitting. Left the store only to hear a grinding noise from the brakes. To me, it was something serious. The store ‘manager’ said they were just bedding in. Bizarre. Drove 4 miles, came back. The ‘manager’ felt the discs and they were gouged. A free replacement was sorted but will NEVER go back there again. Why ‘Halfords’ get rid of good reliable staff like Michael and his team and employ people of less calibre and professionalism is there downfall.

Brakes were squeaking
Brakes were squeaking, free brake check done and all sorted. Staff even stayed back few minutes late in order for myself to pick up car rather than leave it overnight. Excellent service, well done!!!

Mot failed repaired
Mot failed manager Wayne explained details and cost of repairs.The work was carried out quickly and efficiently.Technician Andy showed me the old parts he had replaced and the reasons why.The Manager Wayne was very pleasant and helpful.lwas very impressed by the staff they were all very helpful.it seems to be a happy work place.A great team.l am pleased to recommend this garage and will use it again .

Competitive price and professioanl service.
Changed two Goodyear tyres in there Durham Branch. The online order and booking were very straightforward. Fitting service was excellent. The techincian was friendly and professional.
