Some weeks ago my 85 year old lady friends car was dropped at this garage after suspension failure. Some 3 weeks later she went to collect car after being told the cost was £650 pounds for two front suspension struts the car is a 2006 Suzuki alto not a super car. On collection the bill was then £850 with no prior contact to state why another £200 was on the bill . She paid drove car home and it was making a noise. On inspection we found a rusty ill fitted coil spring rubbing on tyre a flexy brake hose badly split (the car should not have been driven) and badly worn front tyres which they should have reported to her at least so she had the option to say yes or no to having them replaced. She was charged some £118 for a sensor which can be bought for £10 with a years warranty and some £108 to fit it all of a 10 min job. They came and took the car back returned it a few days later with no contact saying it was returning; they parked in on double yellow lines and put the key in the wrong address. Totally disgusting customer service! Yes they had fitted a new brake hose and two front tyres free of charge but that doesn't change their awful service and over the top prices. They also left both rusty front springs on the car - these are 20 years old and any decent garage would have suggested changing them.

Took my car in because it was showing an active drivetrain error.
I had already paid for an independent diagnostic which suggested a sensor issue, but Nev’ll Fix It said they would only proceed if they carried out their own diagnostic. They did that, confirmed two sensors needed replacing (pre-catalyst lambda and exhaust temperature sensor), and I approved the work.
The bill was just under £800.
I collected the car and within less than half a mile of driving, the drivetrain error returned.
When I raised it immediately, they refused to treat it as an unresolved issue and would only look at it again as a new paid job. The blame was put back on me for not describing other symptoms, despite the car being booked in specifically for the drivetrain error and them insisting on doing their own diagnosis.
I expected an expert garage to diagnose and fix the fault I brought the car in for, or at least stand over the outcome when the same warning returns straight away. That didn’t happen, just blame and excuses.
EDIT: The garage’s own response confirms the key point: the car was taken in with an active drivetrain fault.
Yes, I told them an earlier diagnostic had suggested a sensor issue. They then insisted on carrying out and charging for their own diagnosis rather than relying on that. They say they checked the vehicle properly, identified the faulty sensors themselves, added an additional sensor fault, and recommended the repair.
That means the position was clear:
1. Fault: drivetrain error on the car
2. Cause: sensors diagnosed as causing that fault
3. Fix: replace those sensors to resolve it
I approved that work and paid nearly £800.
I then drove the car away and, within less than half a mile, the same drivetrain fault I had originally taken the car in for returned.
That is the point being avoided in their reply. This is not really about noise, wording, or whether every possible symptom was described perfectly. The core issue is that they diagnosed the cause of the drivetrain fault, recommended the fix, carried out the work, took the money, and the original fault came back almost immediately.
They were aware I had a newborn and urgently needed the car back, yet it was returned to me with the original fault unresolved. I was then left without a usable car and told this would only be looked at again as a new paid job.

I have just paid NINE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE POUNDS for new rear discs and pads, fresh brake fluid and an air con re-gas. £ 434 for 2 rear discs is daylight robbery. Genuine Citroen discs are £322 per pair.
When I phoned to enquire what discs had been used, I was told that someone would get back to me. Did they? NO.
Nev'll fix it? Never again!!
Edit... I have to apologise to Nev'll Fix It because in my anger, I didn't give them much time to respond before posting my review. Within minutes of posting I got a call from Nev. Coincidence? After contacting his supplier he has managed, somehow, to get me a refund of £76.87 to reduce my bill to£858.19.
He told me that he likes to use good quality components. Brembo supply brake discs to many car manufacturers, including Citroen, and sell discs for my car for £300.00 a pair less than the ones supplied. This would have brought my bill down to the price I expected to pay. If you take your car to Nev'll Fix IT I suggest you ask how much the work will cost before giving him the job.

From the moment I entered reception, it felt a bit unfriendly. I wish I had walked out at that point. I asked for a quote for an exhaust repair on my car. When it came in at over £500, i said no, sounded too expensive, but when i tried to leave, that wanted to charge me for their time. I was not at any point told there would be a charge. In the end i got the entire exhaust replaced elsewhere much cheaper and much friendlier. Anyway, for info, just be aware that they will try to charge you for time, even if they did not mention it. Will never go back.
Just seen your reply. Hilarious. Sounds like another unhappy customer, cause that was not me, I came in for exhaust not black box. And Incredibly defensive reply. I hardly need to reiterate how I felt when I came in, -anyone reading this will get a sense of how unfriendly you lot actually are.

Had my van towed to the garage, was diagnosed by the garage as a snapped timing chain causing catastrophic engine failure. The comprehensive report provided and the fact that they researched the cause, which it turns out the manufacturer knew about, means that the manufacturer today agreed to replace the engine at no cost to myself. Brilliant work.

Turn up at 0820 for 0830 MOT booked on website.
Told in no uncertain terms I can’t park down there and told to park on a mud patch.
Go into reception, told my MOT isn’t booked until 1345. I said I had email confirmation for 0830 and was told by a chap who clearly didn’t want to be there to prove it. I couldn’t, which he knew as the confirmation email didn’t have a time in it!!
Could never do 1345 due to school pick up.
Rude, unhelpful and I feel poorly treated.
Won’t be back and further planned servicing will be going somewhere else.

We currently have a car at Neville fix it been there for over 3 weeks and they can’t diagnos the problem but will keep looking at it and charging £115 an hour to try and look for the problem and now our bill is way more than we can afford there should just be a fixed price just for looking at a car I really don’t know how they expect us to pay a bill of nearly £900 and they haven’t even found problem yet

It should be New won't fix it but will overcharge you for telling you what is wrong. My daughter's car had a fault with an engine light coming on. They took the car in and said dont worry we will look at it. There was no mention of a fee but was charged £115 for being given a quote for a further £670 pounds worth of work. Maybe my daughter had a sign on her head that day with 'we saw you coming' on it. I subsequently went to a trusted engineer who did the same diagnostic in minutes, didn't charge me for that and then did the fix for less than a quarter of the price. Nev won't be fixing any of my cars in the future.

Always helpful when I called for update on spare part coming from France.
Called to get some advise about my car, when I asked what I can do in regards to repairing my car I was told " buy a new car and don't own a diesel" following that comment Steve hung up on me..... absolutely horrendous service.
This company blatantly attempt to extortion and deceive customers. Our car went in for a glow plug change (£38 from Merecedes-Benz, plus labour costs) and this garage quoted £688.83 including additional parts which DID NOT need repairing. Contacted for a refund of false diagnosis. Flat out refused. Motor Ombudsman and IMI contacted for further resolution. Avoid at all costs.

Have been using Nev'll for a few years now and am always pleased with the consideration shown for their customers. We're told exactly what is required and alerted to any unexpected work needed before it is carried out. This time we had difficulty in collecting the car but this was resolved promptly by the staff at Nev'll for which many thanks. Have used numerous garages over the last 50 years of driving and this is by far the best customer service I have ever experienced. Well done all at Nev'll.

Don't know where to start. They don't even deserve the one star but had to give that to be able to write the review.
We booked our car in for ADAS calibration 3 weeks. I arrived today (20th May 2022) at 8.15am they said they had no idea what it was booked in for. However this job was booked by the owner of the company with no explanation as to what was required on the job ticket. After speaking with my partner on my phone they confirmed to him what the car was in for. This afternoon at 5.10pm we arrived to collect the vehicle only to be informed that they couldn't do the job. At no point had we been called to say they couldn't do the job. They had the vehicle for 9 hours which sat on the forecourt. The service manager and assistant could not be bothered one little bit about this. Very unhelpful, no customer service what so ever.
Supposedly the best garage in Tonbridge, I think not.

Well, I've been in the auto trade all my career and what I like about these guys is they tell it to you straight. They give good advice and get to the heart of the problem quickly. The workshop always looks well managed and organised. Today was just an MoT and a quick check of the brakes, but the standard is the same whatever the job. They keep you fully up to date with the work so no surprises.

We were on holiday in the area and a horrible noise started up in the front wheel of my car. Picked out Nev's on Google and turned up at 5 ish on Friday afternoon. They listened and the noise had stopped! But they took it seriously and found a stone which had lodged between back plate and brake disc. Checked the tyre pressures too. All for no charge. Excellent service. Thanks Nev.
