NGT....Crap

NGT. Wow!!! What can i say 🤔. I'm new to carp angling and sourced the gear i need for fishing from various suppliers. Several of my items came frm NGT, oh my lord how do i regret buying their products, or should i say 💩 gear. Main gripe is i bought a 60" brolly shelter, used it 3 times and then 4th time i found a screw section that holds one of the storm poles had fallen out without me noticing so i was unable to use the shelter. Contacted the seller 1st he was useless Dr Carpy as he is known said nowt to do with him and i should contact NGT 🤣 what a joke micky mouse company. All i wanted was to purchase the part, yes just the part. Several calls, emails and messages to their facebook page all fell in deaf ears. After ready the reviews alarm bells rang as to how ignorant & disrespectful can a major company treat genuine customers in this way. Next step trading standards. As for my other knackered item that broke after one use, well thats for another review. Remember buy cheap buy 💩.

Superb service

Made a purchase online,order item came wrong. Contacted Mark,he replied straight away & apologised. He then sent out the right item out,without asking for the first item back.Fast delivery, great customer service & items good quality. Can't recommend this company enough, 5 star all the way.Cheers Mark.

Bought 2 big pit profiler reels

Bought 2 big pit profiler reels, used twice and completely broke, took apart to investigate as I service my own reels and substandard parts show why, tried to get spare parts but nowhere can you get parts to repair. I strongly recommend not buying these and shall not be using NGT for any future buys due to very poor cheep rubbish

Tried to get I touch through official web site and email on numerous occasions for an update on when a cradle bag would be in stock not had one reply absolutely discussed with the customer service for this company.

Customer services (lack of)

I am not impressed with their lack of customer service, have sent several emails and made a few phone calls, left voicemails, absolutely no response whatsoever, how can a company operate like this, could it be a breach of the trading standards laws which states all goods must be fit for purpose, most products seem to be ok but the ones that are not are useless, and no way of contacting them for help or information, disgraceful company attitude 🤬🤬🤬

Bought an NGT Match Umbrella

Bought an NGT Match Umbrella, complete waste of money. Its fallen to pieces had it just over 6 months.
The main fault was the metal wire holding the top and bottom spokes became corroded and broke.
Also blew inside out a number of times.
Then the plastic barrel became loose that meant the umbrella would pivot on the balljoint and go to 45 degrees with the slightest wind.
I managed to fix this by screwing the plastic barrel together so it wouldnt move.
Then the thread on the pole seized up so the umbrella couldnt be detatched and fixed in a permenant 45 degree position.
I tried to repair the spokes, but its nearly impossible to get the spokes back into position then fix a better wire whilst holding the pole im not an octopus, ive also e-mailed NGT to let them know how poor the umbrella was. Lesson learned from this never buy NGT products as there cheap and of poor quality just a waste of money.

NGT Who owns it

Have made enquiries today.

Sporting Wholesale Ltd of Luton 0345 1242929are top of the tree within NGT .
They have it made and branded NGT For them .

Then they sell to dealers .
Apparently best dealers are
NGT Tackle Shop
NGT Online
Also amazon

All above come from the main NGT Supplier Sporting Wholesale Ltd , who actually own the NGT BRAND , But do not sell direct, only to stockists .

It's question finding good stockist who offers good customer Service ?

AVOID THIS SELLER

AVOID THIS SELLER! NGT are a good manufacturer, but these people are just resellers and give NGT a bad name.
Sent me the wrong items and won't answer calls or reply to my emails. I'm now stuck with the wrong items. Scum. Shouldn't be selling for NGT and giving them a bad name. Cnut

USELESS

Similar to other posters I await a response from NGT in regard to spares for my rod. Two emails sent, no response to either. NGT do not give a toss about customer care or service. Properly run, perhaps they can improve, however they are obviously stretched for brain powerwhen so many people are unable to obtain any satisfactory replies. How do they survive.

NGT Carp Fishing Bedchair

Bought a NGT Bedchair for a sunbed, used it one day in June 2023 (delivery day) and once in September. Put it away for the winter and took it out again Sunday 19th May 2024, on this day I found that the back of the bedchair slipped against the gearing even though it was tightened as tight as I could get it. Emailed Carp Corner whom I purchased it from who contacted NGT who said I mistreated the chair so would not fix or replace even though it was still under warranty. How can you mistreat a new chair, you loosen the locking mechanism, adjust and tighten?. If you are looking for a Carp Fishing Bedchair, Fox gear is the stuff to buy. Absolute joke of a company, if you buy from them then Im afraid its "Buyer Beware". Just had an email from Carp Corner saying that they cannot help as they cannot confirm how I treated the chair, ones word is not good enough these days, especially when selling goods not fit for purpose.

Bought the 2 man XL fortress bivvy

Bought the 2 man XL fortress bivvy, had no issues at all with regards to getting the bivvy or any info from the company.

Unfortunately me and my partner were doing an over night fish, an unexpected/ unforced gale force wind, blew the bivvy right off us and bent one off the front poles that support the porch.

I have tried to get in contact with NGT ONLINE, via the message sender from the website I have sent an email also, tried calling numerous times to hear the mail
Box is full to then taken voice mail, so someone is listening and clearing the mail box. But no reply or call back after leaving my number.

I then went onto the NGT direct website found that NGT online is a branch of them so I contacted them also, via Facebook messenger email also and surprise surprise no response.

Absolutely shocking customer service product was great and if your buying they answer soon as you have anything re issues nothing

Damaged rods…

Hi I was delivered 2x 14ft beach casters
Both of which was damaged eyes and the wrong eyes supposed to be fugi eyes
Tried to contact the company but cannot get through I have sent numerous emails with photos and still no reply terrible service
I will not be buying any equipment from this company in the future

Tryed getting in contact with ngt by…

Tryed getting in contact with ngt by phone and email several times about a replacement part for one of my carp reels several times by both methods to no answers no customer service what so ever .so if you are thinking about buying some of their products you will not be able to contact them about spares and replacement parts .I would recommend you go to a reliable company for your fishing gear. Somewhere that looks after sales costumers.
