I purchased a watch that was advertised.
as“nearly new no marks to distinguish from new,” That's a direct quote from the description of the watch.

But when it arrived, it had several very visible scratches all over the watch and very clear signs of wear. The condition did not match the description at all.

Delivery took a while as it needed authenticated frustratingly 4 days after I paid I had to contact the seller who told me that it needed to be authenticated once it got to here I received it Next day, I feel without my message I wouldn't have even been contacted at all.

Although the sellers communication once I had established first communication was very good and He was very helpful. Offered me a token of Goodwill and to make the watch right which I declined.

Overall, considering the feedback this seller has and the amount of time I spent researching the watch and this company I still can't believe This happened It went so very wrong. I am beyond disappointed and still saddened by what happened.

I don't appreciate the passive aggressive response either. You clearly didn't post it straight away at all.

Your 11 photos were misleading as you show none of the scratches. You could have added 100 photos but if your not going to show the actual side of the watch or strap with said marks really doesn't matter how many photos you add.

You do not show the scratches on the hastelite glass or to the back of the watch which was scratched on two sides of the lugs.

And personally to say the strap was new.
is a joke as you can see from the photographs that I've taken it's very much used and worn.

Also again, you're missing the point with the delivery from you to the authenticator was slow!
From the authenticator to me was next day delivery.

I simply wanted the watch that you described.
If you had have said, "very slight marks of minor wear" I would have never bought the watch.

And Regardless of the discount that I had and the service that you offered personally, it was appalling.

I've been following Oakleigh Watches on social media for a while. What's impressed me the most about this company is not just the quality and condition of the watches they sell, but also Giles' knowledge of the watches themselves; so when it came to purchasing my first Rolex off the internet (I usually buy in-person), Oakleigh Watches' website was always the first place I was going to visit.
After seeing a Rolex Submariner on their website which I liked, I contacted Giles and asked various questions regarding the piece itself. Giles fully answered these questions, and remained patient with me throughout the enquiry stage - at no point were there any pressure selling tactics applied.
After agreeing a price for the watch and subsequently purchasing it, Giles then began preparing the watch for immediate dispatch via DHLs fully insured overnight courier service (which provides fully comprehensive tracking details whilst in transit).
Upon receiving my watch, the first thing I noticed was how well packaged it was - this provided me with reassurance that the watch, along with its other accessories, wouldn't have been damaged whilst in transit.
After opening the package contents and seeing the watch in-person, I can honestly say that I was thrilled with my purchase. The watch was exactly as described on the website, and the condition of it was superb, akin to being like brand new or new old stock.
The whole process between the initial enquiry stage, purchasing the watch, and then receiving the watch from Oakleigh Watches has been excellent and I'm very happy with my purchase. I will definitely be using Oakleigh Watches again for future watch purchases and can't recommend them, and Giles, highly enough.
