Great experience

I flew my dog with petair from the UK to Denmark using their premium service. Petair were great, in the middle of a stressful move we didn’t want to have to worry and they made the process as smooth as it could have been. They also arranged customs for our dog once he arrived. I would absolutely use them again, thank you PetAir for getting our boy here safely!

Great Care and Service with Minor Tracking Issue

PetAir were fantastic throughout Kane’s journey, the team were friendly, professional, and incredibly supportive, which made a stressful process much easier.
Kane was clearly well looked after and transported safely, which was the most important thing for us.

The only downside was that the tracking tag stopped working after drop-off, or was not scanned at any point in the process of transport, which meant I had no visibility on his journey after PetAir had dropped him off. This did cause some panic, and I ended up having to chase down the air hostess and pilot for confirmation that he had actually boarded.

Aside from that issue, it was a really positive experience overall and I’d still highly recommend them.

Our family is now complete again in the US, as we begin our new adventure.
Kanes certainly living his best life now.

We’d like to clarify that the updates accessed via the QR code are currently managed manually by our team rather than being fully automated, and they are not yet supported by all airlines. Because of this, there may occasionally be limitations or delays in the information provided through that method.

To make sure you stay informed, we also rely on live flight updates to keep you as up to date as possible throughout your journey. For customers on longer trips, especially those involving boarding and connecting flights, we aim to provide more frequent updates to help you stay informed every step of the way.

My furry child arrived purrfectly unscathd

At the end of the day, the only thing that truly matters, and that is deserving of a rating, is how soundly, safely and cared-for condition my pet arrived at our final destination. My cat, Tilly, arrived without having had to spend any time at customs, or in quarantine, as a result of perfect paperwork and pre-checks done according to standard. Although uncertain about everything that was happening to her (to be expected), Tilly was not in the least traumatised by the ordeal, and immediately took to her new environment, without any residual fear hampering her from exploring every nook and cranny of her new home. Thank you PetAir UK, and our destination partners, for taking such good care of my furry child.

My cat arrived in Australia seriously ill thanks to PetAir

My cat Aero arrived in Australia blind, dehydrated & underweight after spending some weeks with PetAir in Windsor, then transiting through Colombo. After seeing photos -- or Pet Postcards -- of her with an empty water bowl in the background, I had to point out that she needed water. I can't say how devastating & disappointing this entire experience has been. Cancellation of flights due to the war was out of everyone's control. But Aero suffered serious neglect with PetAir and her condition is serious & worrying. I have asked for a full refund of the many thousands of pounds the company extracted, as compensation for this treatment & the shocking condition Aero arrived in. That refund might cover the cost of the emergency treatment she now needs.
PetAir has responded publicly on Trustpilot but has not contacted me directly to address this matter. I am awaiting a formal response to my complaint.

communication

The communication between pet air and the airport is very poor. The transition to me in Vancouver was stressful and emotional they lost the dog and it was hours till they found her before we could start the customs paperwork I missed the second flight which was 5hrs later I cannot tell you how upset with you and Vancouver I am. Surely you do not stop your part till you know she is in good hands. 🤨

We would like to reassure you that we only work with trusted, regulated, and certified destination airports when arranging pet transport from the UK. In most cases, these processes run very smoothly and to a high standard.

However, we do fully recognise that the collection of a pet and the customs clearance process can be stressful for owners, particularly when handling this for the first time.

For this reason, we always recommend using an in-country agent at the destination. These agents are highly experienced with local procedures and have established relationships with the airport teams. In many cases, they are able to support a smoother and quicker clearance process compared to an individual managing this independently. We provide 24/7 support, 365 days of the year to assist any clients experiencing difficulty or requiring support at any time.

The experience that I found was that PetAir UK provided excellent care for my pets. I sent two cats and three dogs all with different personalities and needs. They were in excellent shape when they arrived in the USA, from the UK. The courier was very caring and friendly. I would recommend PetAir UK to anyone relocating from the UK to USA.

Transporting a dog to New Zealand

Very flexible when my plans changed.
When the war in Iran affected my dog’s flight they rearranged the journey and my dog arrived safely in Auckland.
Vicky was particularly good keeping us informed of changes.

Fantastic service relocating my pet from the UK to USA

From.the beginning to the end, the company was caring, professional and accomodating. On their website they advertise price match, and it is real, they will honour your price findings on a like for like service. They were attentive to my concerns and queries, and provided travel updates on my fur baby. I can't fault them, they certainly exceeded my expectations. My dog travelled comfortably and I felt he was well taken care off. Thank you!

Pet Experts and Keepers of Promises

Perfectly delivered as advertised and requested. My cat went from the UK to USA with no issue, arrived safe and sound and I had to do little to no paperwork or fight through red tape myself.

If you care about your pet AVOID

Up to our arrival into Madrid we were very happy with the care received from PetAir Uk both leading up to our dogs flight and the service we received in London. That is where our positive experience ended.
The details given for collection were not entirely clear and there were steps missed out which led to a delay clearing customs and the language barrier proved a real struggle. When we collected our dog he was brought from his apparent ‘safe pet friendly place’ by a forklift truck in a huge warehouse! He was soaked wet through with urine (and we know he can hold for hours he is 7) in fact the cage was so saturated we had to leave to be destroyed! He was also agitated and jumpy at every little noise.
We complained to PetAir having paid thousands for what should have been a good experience for both us and our dog. The lies by Madrid Air Cargo were ultimately believed by PetAir and other than an apologetic email we were very disappointed. No taking into account the experience we received for the money paid!
I would search for a company that can guarantee a good experience throughout the entire journey and not ultimately wash their hands of you when your pet boards the plane.

We’d like to clarify that while we carefully manage and oversee every stage of the journey within our control, the arrival process at the destination airport is handled by the airline’s appointed ground handling team. These teams operate under strict global and local regulations, and although we only work with approved and regulated airports, we do rely on their staff to follow the correct procedures and standards of care.

That said, your experience is not what we expect for any pet travelling through our service. We have raised this as an urgent concern with the handling agents in Madrid to ensure this is fully investigated and to help prevent similar situations in the future.

We also appreciate your comments regarding the collection process. We understand how stressful navigating customs in a different country can be, particularly with language barriers, and we do always recommend using a local clearing agent where possible. This is something we include in our quotations as it can significantly improve and simplify the arrival experience for both pets and their owners.

We are genuinely sorry that this part of the journey did not meet expectations, and we do take your feedback seriously as we continuously work to improve our service end-to-end.

Helpful Service but Concerns About Cost and Delivery

I felt that the service and communication I received from the PetAir representatives leading up to the travel date were prompt and helpful. My main concern was the overall cost, which seemed quite high for the services provided. Additionally, I was disappointed by the condition in which my pet arrived from LHR to SEA—the crate was soaked, and our poor cat was as well. To be fair, this may have been an issue with the airline rather than PetAir itself, but it still affected our experience.

We’re especially sorry to hear about the condition your cat arrived in. While parts of the journey are managed by the airline, we completely understand how upsetting this must have been and how it impacted your experience.

Your pet’s welfare is always our top priority. During air travel, pets must have access to water at all times to ensure they remain safe and hydrated throughout their journey. However, in a moving environment such as an aircraft, there are occasions where water can spill despite the precautions in place.

To minimise this, we prepare every pet carrier with absorbent puppy pads and fleece-lined bedding designed to wick moisture away from the surface using a one-way layer. This helps keep pets as dry and comfortable as possible, even if some spillage occurs.

While this is not the experience we ever want for any pet or owner, we do everything we can to balance essential hydration with comfort and cleanliness throughout the journey, and we’re very sorry that in this instance it fell short of expectations.
