Applied weeks ago and still haven’t been approved?! Why does it take this long for a simple pet insurance application? I didn’t even know you needed to review something for a getting insurance for an animal. Are they doing a background check on my entire life history?

Signed up for Nationwide pet insurance…
Signed up for Nationwide pet insurance through my work benefits to take care of medical expenses related to my aging cat Simba who is now 15. First claim I’ve submitted for $763 for preventative check up, vaccinations, prescription and xray scans to check a mass in his lung was denied. Reason for denial they do not cover preventative care and have deem the other treatments to a pre-existing condition. Waste of time and money

I was very pleased with th e entire experience.
I was very pleased with the representative on the phone. Pleasant, knowledgeable and provided uncomplicated service. I definitely recommend Nationwide insurance for all exotic pets. They offer great coverage with no hassles.

There was no mention of a deductible. Does this mean I pay the first $250 of the wellness visit and vaccines?
