Petruth Paddocks Camping Avis 

Quiet, peaceful, lovely views, great facilities and a warm and friendly welcome. Close enough to town and the gorge to be able to walk, but far enough away to feel rural. Loved that the quiet field was genuinely quiet :)

A truly magical place to catch up with friends and family with everything you could wish for on site or within easy walking distance. Friendly staff and lovely hot showers. They understand that you want to camp near likeminded people and give you space to enjoy ☺️

This place is fabulous. Easily accessible, fabulous facilities, near to a village with plenty of shops and things to do.

Showers and toilets constantly being cleaned. Recycling facilities were brilliant, pitches were massive and entertwinment and food vendors on site too.

Staff were really helpful and polite.

Went with friends and kids and dogs. Even the rain we had didnt stop us from enjoying it 🙌🏻 and it was really reasonably priced. Were already planning next years visit.

Beautiful family campsite, perfect for all of us. Clean amenities, super friendly staff. The space was safe and family focused, the children had a blast and the adults relaxed and enjoyed the bus bar and live music 😊

Our favourite campsite and we plan to keep returning! Great location, fab staff and 5* facilities!!!

We have two young children, aged 6 and 4, and two dogs, and we meet up with a couple of other families who also have children the same age as ours, as well as dogs. We were able to park our twin-axle caravans in a horseshoe, creating a ‘safe’ zone for the kids, which made mingling with the other families so much more social as we could all see each other.

We had a hot tub on our pitch, and our little rule is that the kids get to use it in the morning before the water change. Then we’re very unfussy about grassy feet etc! 😂 The adults get their turn once the kids are in bed.

And as if I couldn’t sing their praises enough, we were late booking and therefore had no electric on our pitches. However, our friends who had booked electric were accommodated and given their power on the house!

I even went and asked the office if they knew of any other campsites like theirs in other parts of the UK, as we all love it so much.

Can’t wait to come back again next year! ❤️

Very enjoyable weekend - just stopped for 2 nights but got to fully relax and enjoy the site. The facilities were very good and kept clean at all times.

Brilliant stay at Petruth Paddocks, welcoming and friendly team, safe feeling site when good amenities and a peaceful vibe.

This is just such a relaxed place to.be. The staff are friendly, the facilities good, and the signs are funny.

Absolutely amazing stay, so friendly and everything you need is right there.
The food was amazing from the pizza truck and the chicken wings. Nice and chilled in the evening with live music and a beer.

Loved the camping site and bell tent we hired. Was a bit disappointed that the bar wasn't open 😕. The showers and toilets were immaculate and the site was well looked after! The site felt really safe and secure and staff were lovely and helpful!

Very Spacious pitches and good vibe in the adults only field only things to let it down a little was the evening it was advertised pizza & Mexican but when coming to have food pizza wasn't anywhere to be seen and given BBQs had been banned they wasn't really much other choice then to go off site and the reason we booked this campsite is so we didn't have to go off site again

Had an absolutely amazing long weekend away at Petruth Paddocks, this is the second weekend I've stayed there and both times, has been excellent, Petruth Paddocks is a very family friendly camp/caravan site, you are always welcomed by friendly staff, who are ready to greet you with a smile. This time we were unable to have one of their firepits, due to the heatwave and the fact that the ground was so dry, so the fire risk was too great, which is totally understandable, other than that,,, we had an amazing time, the massive car boot on the Sunday is excellent,, although it wasn't as big as before due to a bit of rain on the Sunday morning,, but still managed to grab a few bargains!!
I would very highly recommend staying at Petruth Paddocks if you want a fantastic holiday in Somerset,, the fact that Cheddar Gorge is only a 5 minute drive from the campsite,, is a huge bonus aswell,, as it's an absolutely beautiful place to visit.
I will definitely be going back again.

Our annual family camping weekend with 5 families, some of us were in tents another in a camper van and a motor home plus a family in a Pethruth Paddocks hired Bell tent, which was very comfortable. We were all sited together with plenty of space for our Event shelter in the middle.
Very friendly and helpful wardens. We enjoyed our weekend and would visit again.

My daughter had a great stay with her friends she such lovely clean well looked after site with great staff

Perfect location excellent staff clean toilets showers there was music entertainment for all plus play park nearby keep eye on the kids still to relax unwind for parents . Even recycling bags buckets given on entrance go along way so keeps a clean campsite
