I totally recommend this firm of solicitors. As an executor of an estate with a sale of a property, which turned out to be a stressful sale, Claudia Barrow was outstanding in her tenacity, her patience and her professionalism to getting this sale to completion. Throughout it all, which in total was over 7 months, she kept us up to date at each stage, always with a smile. When I was looking for a company to appoint to act on our behalf, Phillips were the only one who would discuss the case with me prior to appointing them, which was why I chose them to represent us. Thank you to the team at Phillips, Claudia, Giselle, Denise, Emma to name but a few. I am now appointing them again for the sale and purchase of my personal estate.

After searching for many solicitors, we decided to use phillips. Amazing service, we had many set backs due too my partner being in the army and away at the same time, which was our fault. I would not recommend using this firm. We used them to purchase our first home. They made it rather stressful due to lack of contact and taking a while to call back when leaving a message at the office (when they did call back). When finally getting round to getting a call back we always left like an inconvenience and never had a straight answer. The solicitor never seemed to know much which I thought was rather concerning. This left us rather confused and angry as to not having a useful update. We were under the impression we had an agreed date and we called for an update 4 days before to tell us we weren’t completing on the date. We even ended up doing some of the work ourselves. In my opinion, rude and unreliable solicitors and little value for money. We have made a formal complaint and are awaiting a response however if the response is anything like the service I’m not expecting much. If you want to a solicitor that is proactive and gives regular updates whilst being polite and professional do not use Philips Solicitors as you will not get this service. I will never be using them again and I will be advising everyone not to use them.
