I have given 4 stars because I like going to pontins pakefield with my family. My issue is we booked as a family 3 children and 6 adults for Feb half term. We booked a few months before christmas and was sent a email saying book by 12 oclock to get an amazing deal you wont get a better one we were lead to believe, then the week before we were due to go, an email came through to tell us with two paying adults 1 child goes free. I sent emails to them saying this is unfair as we are paying for our children, as a gesture of goodwill could we please have a credit note for the chidrens amount, as we have been coming to pontins for years. I got an email back saying they would not do anything as per terms and conditions which I understand but I do think this is a bad policy and totally unfair, I will not be rushing to book again.

If I could score less I would! Avoid at all costs! Took my daughter to Brean Sands accompanied by my sister and 6 year old nephew. Within half hour of arriving and waiting to check in my daughters phone disappeared from her pocket whilst a woman with a child was asking me for change. We searched everywhere in the lobby to see she had dropped it but nothing. I asked reception if they could look on CCTV to see if someone had gone in her pocket and they said no, I asked them to phone police and they said no, I asked for head office number and name of the the receptionist I was talking too who was rude and dismissive and he said no but my name is Matthew with two t’s! by this time I had two children crying and shaking.. the manager then came and said they would look on the cctv…a lady came was in the queue waiting to book in and asked why we were distressed and stated she had found a phone outside of pontins on a grass verge! Thank god for her but as for pontins - it was disgusting and we didn’t stay and left!

Yeah, ok might not be 5 star but there is loads to do and there is plenty of entertainment for the kids. I brought my son here who is 9 and as long as he enjoyed it that’s all that matters. Rooms are cozy and heat up rather quick with the little electric heater they provide and yes ok the hot tap in the bathroom didn’t work but you know what I enjoyed my stay and so did my son and the people here are really friendly.

We arrived at pontins Southport 18th of February the weather was horrendous the outside of the apartments were completely flooded with 2 ducks on it, I mean it was like a lake! You had a small path to walk around. No electricity in the club apartments on arrival which is free so why not put it on before people arrive! Had to wait half an hour in the dark for the maintenance to turn it on! I’m sure the pontins company know these campsites are only fit to be demolished because the state of them, I think they give offers to still attract people unknowingly because no one would enjoy a holiday in the scruffy accommodation. The toilets in the clubhouse were disgusting although they still had loads of people hanging around in there! We arrived 5 o’clock Friday and left 10 o’clock Sunday morning instead of Monday. If you’ve booked please cancel because it certainly couldn’t be classed as a holiday more like an endurance test which we failed!

We arrived and left I am not one to moan about cheap basic places to stay and have stayed at pontins prestaytn before which was basic Abit dirty but ok.

Brean sands. Never go down this way so was excited after a 7 hour drive to get there I seen inside I have never complained anywhere before because I have anxiety for one and I hate to be a moaner. I literally cried before having to go and explain the moldy curtains, no mattresses, warped damp damaged bathroom (which must have been flooded) not cleaned at all. We drove straight home after unhelpful staff didn't even offer a room change but speaking to other guests who were moved it was equally as awful and they too we're heading home.

REFUSED A REFUND so paid for somewhere I didn't stay told to contact an them via email for refund which I did and was totally ignored. Disgusting. Will never return to any pontins now.

Pontins at Pakefield was the place that my husband got food poisoning which resulted in him not being able to work for weeks as he was so ill

Booked holiday which said
"This is our biggest sale of the year with an amazing 50% off all 2022 dates in Brean Sands, Camber Sands, Prestatyn and Southport. This incredible discount is only available for another 3 days and ends at midnight on the 2nd January 2022."

Checking invoice NO discount it seems there was a code, don't know where, but advert says 50% ALL holidays booked before 2 Jan 2022?? Tried to talk to them. SORRY can not help you agrred to terms and conditions but what about the "ALL HOLIDAYS" in the advert.

I was having a angina attack on new year's eve 2021 I asked the security to phone an ambulance but they said no because I had turned down first aid they kept telling me to phone it my self these people are not human first aid is no good for an angina attack, when I eventually got an ambulance I was in the ambulance for over an hour before they took me to hospital where I was given blood thinning drugs 3 times as my angina spray never worked , the hospital was appalled by the treatment I received by the security at pontins pakefield they are writing a letter of complaint to Head office on my behalf these security people aren't human beings, I was released at 6am new years day so I waited for the reception to open to make a complaint while I was having the form filled out one of the duty managers came in to ask how I was I told him that I wasn't happy about not having an ambulance called when I asked for one his reply was well if you was home you wouldn't phone security and ask them to ring an ambulance so why do it here the 5 security have to be sacked I'm not going to let this rest if I have to ill get the national papers involved

My wife and I go to the Sand Bay holiday camp (covid permitting) on a monthly basis since I retired nearly 5 years ago and have been coming here for about 9 year's overall. Over the years most of the chalets have been refurbished to a very good standard. Pontins have spent a lot of money bringing the site up to date. The food has always been good and the entertainment great I really don't know how they do it for the money, that's why we can afford to come every month. We are currently here for Christmas, Twixmass and New Year. The food is as good, if not better, the cabaret excellent, there is so much to do here if you want, you just have to use your imagination and pace yourself as it is very tiring enjoying yourself. Due to Covid there are only about 350 here with many being regulars. You always get the moaners, these will moan wherever they go and do not really look on the other side, of how hard everybody works and for A basic wage with many being on zero hours. They want 5 star service for 2 star prices. All I can say is step back a bit, put the shoe on the other foot and enjoy the imperfections and not just to look for problems to moan about. We Love it here, so I suppose you could say we were biased but we call Sand Bay our beach hut by the sea, without the hassle. Roman and Christine Kloda

We Arrived In The Early Evening Of October When It Was Starting To Get A Little Dark.
Tiny Drops Of Rain Start To Fall And Security Gave My Mum A Form To Fill Out. They Were Kind Enough. However I Did Not Enjoy My Stay At Pontins Brean Sands Very Much. The Reception Was Ok And We Had To Park In A Car Park To Park Near Our Chalet.
At First I Thought The Chalet Looked Clean But Really It Was Completely Disgusting. As Soon As We Opened The Door A Big Massive Waft Of Damp Hit Us. I Mistook It For A Nice Posh Smell. Mold All Over The Damp Walls. No Soap. It Was Broken. But Just A Tiny Little Travel Size Bottle Of Dove. This Was Just 1 Year After The Air Duct Collapsed Witch I Will Not Be Going Into Detail About. Pontins Brean Sands You Can Do A Lot F******* Better. Our Chalet 409 Was F******Disgusting F*** You, Pontins.

Pontins Pakefield. Not been for many years! Will not leave it so long next time. Exceptional value for money. Upgrade was worth it although these chalets could do with being closer to main buildings. All staff were approachable. Just a couple of staff in dining room were obviously not happy in their role. Entertainment very good. Bar staff very polite and friendly. Look forward to returning soon 😊

Honestly i just want to say… please don’t go here, save your money and u will have a better time at home. You would probably rather sleep in your trash can.

went to pontins in southport for a comedy weekend and had an amazing time all the acts were great - chalet was really close to bar and shop, very clean and tidy and really warm - beds were so comfortable - had everything we needed. staff were amazing- so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. i will definitely be going back

Went to Pontins, Brean Sands on Tuesday 26th October this week, left Tuesday 26th October. Paid an extra £60 for a so called upgrade, but was told at reception that the chalet was no different from any other chalet. It was dirty, smelly, dead flies, drawers and cupboards dirty, old, cheap, dirty duvets and pillows, curtains hanging off, chalets are in blocks which is really appropriate as more like Cell Block H, so depressing and grim and yet we are being encouraged to have staycations in the UK, but apart from weather, the leisure industry in this country is still living in the 1950s and has no idea what it takes to give their guests decent accommodation, good service and a holiday to remember. No wonder we all want to go abroad! Will never go back again and advise anyone thinking of going to a Pontins Holiday Camp, don't go, you're better off at home!

Pontins Southport, save your money an absolute disgrace, filthy chalet, materess seen far better days. Lack of amenities, only 2 places to eat at time of visit September 2021. Over crowded venue at night, a real disappointment, so much so, we left 2 days early over a long weekend. Certainly will not be going back.

This is the worst!!! Dirty everywhere!! We where left out side at midnight with a 6month old, 4 & 2 years old because we had no electricity and no one came to help even though they said they where on there way. Over an hour! My children are now all not very well. The kitchen was disgusting! Mouldy curtains in ever room,! dirty puddles on floors, the floors where black! blood stains on the mattress!! , fridge was black! Bugs in the sinks!! I have never seen anything like it!! We left! Now they are refusing to give back our money!!!. The most shocking place ever!! Please please do not book with Pontins. Read all the reviews!!!!! This place should be shut down!!! I have contacted trade and standards and I will take it further.

Just stayed at Prestatyn Pontins and have been presently surprised. After reading the bad reviews. We found our standard room very clean throughout. New duvets and pillows and enough kitchen equipment for 4 people. Bathroom clean.
The rest of the site is clean and has sanitising stations throughout. Enough to do, pool clean although have to change before you enter. No changing due to covid policies, so we just put our clothes over beforehand.
Entertainment fine for October. Crazy golf, laser quest roller disco, skate park although open shorter hours now.
Only moan was the windows need a clean!

Absolutely AWFUL!!!
The worst place i've ever been too...
Only put a star because i didn't have the option to give no stars!!
Arrived and was subject to the ridiculous process of filling out a printed form with all my booking infomation which obviously caused long queues to get the keys.
Eventually got the keys arrived at a run down dirty box!! with no electricity!!
Two kitchen cupboards ( all the wood blown and the coating peeling away) and a fridge that was in to a tiny room with a broken sofabed, a tiny, tiny room going off that room with dirty bunkbeds and stains all over the mattresses. Mould covered all the walls and meldew was on the windows and doors.
Would not put my dog in there let alone my children.
Got to reception to an avalanche of customers complaining about sub-standard rooms, no elecricity, lack of entertainment, not enough bed spaces etc, etc, etc.
Manager really hostile, rude and agressive.
Shouting in customers faces to go home!!
Scared my young daughter who asked me to take her home!!!
She was terrified to the point i actually got out my phone to record his horrendous customer service to which he ran away and refused to address any complaints just got staff to tell customers to either put up and shut up or leave!
With no refund may i add!!
Pontins is a tired, failing business that needs either a cash injecton or a bulldoser.
Took me 3hrs to drive there, i turned around and drove 3hrs home again. It was so bad my son said he'd rather sleep in the car, we wouldn't even stay one night....
Waste of time, waste of petrol, waste of life.
Very disappointing will go to Somerset again but next time stay somewhere else.

Avoid at all costs. We stayed 1 night and only because we couldnt get alternative accommodation sooner. I was truly hooked at the dirt, uncared for concrete block. Awful curtains hanging off stolen TV broken bed etc. What a hell hole. We couldnt leave quick enough. Dont go!
