we have been coming to potters for 36 years and have made fantastic family memories , however we are now grandparent and over the years activities for 1 to 5 year olds have diminished mostly during the day time but the price has not. Children of this age do not drink or eat much so you would think the entertament would be the justification unfortunately it is not.

Another fabulous holiday at Potters Hopton-on-Sea, this time with the family - 3 generations and we all had a wonderful time, definitely booking up again next summer. The staff, food, entertainment, all top notch & great value for money, so much to do - will have to go back again.

Both Five Lakes and Hopton on sea are fabulous.
Excellent food, excellent activities and entertainment, excellent staff.
Unfortunately this year due to dog sitting difficulties, we have only managed one visit but are desperately hoping we can squeeze another break in before the end of the year.

From the moment you walk in to reception, the accommodation, the food, the entertainment all day and night all staff from chefs kitchen staff entertainers all make your stay remarkable. Adults being kids it’s great thank you.

Firstly I sent them a WhatsApp message as i wanted to check availability. They replied very quickly and I soon had my break booked. An anniversary celebration. We booked for early check in and lunch. We arrived, unpacked, had lunch and then joined fellow guests for the garden party. You can join in, just watch or go and explore. No pressure. You are given a table in the restaurant for the duration of your stay which i like. Lovely food, so much foo, all staff so friendly. Fantastic entertainment team. Fantastic shows and the opportunity to try lots of activities. I try something new each time I visit and this time i really enjoyed air rifle shooting, sound bath, cheerleading and crafts. Lots of night time dancing including silent disco. Really enjoy the spa area. Drinks included and I love a little nightcap of a hot chocolate with an added malibu.

Recently spent a weekend with two friends at Hopton
We had three single bungalows although they were basic they were spotless and very comfy beds .
Staff,food,entertainment and facilities all super.
From arrival to departure we couldn’t have asked for more.

First class service in every department. Food was excellent, entertainment as good as the west end and something going on all day to keep you occupied.

Wonderful. Good fun plenty of lovely activities and excellent food. Have tried hotel rooms and villas previously, this time in villa very good. Staff brilliant friendly helpful . Will be booking again very soon.

All our holidays at Potter’s have been 5 star from the accommodation to the food and entertainment and the staff who are first class long may it continue.

Stayed in the hotel. Nice room, clean and spacious. Good food and plenty of choice. Lots to keep us occupied. Have booked again. Excellent venue for get togethers.

We recently had a 4 night midweek break at Potters Resort five lakes in Essex our experience throughout our stay was excellent. before going I had read a few reviews some mentioned the furniture in your room, yes some items could do with updating from wear and tear none of these little points will really effect your stay, everything was clean tidy and kept that way throughout your stay. where do i begin with the rest of it, the staff were amazing so helpful your days are packed with things to do, you are fed within an inch of your life Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner with a large choice at every sitting plus late night snacks for those who want it. The entertainment team are incredible the shows that we watched every night of our stay belonged on the west end stage. this was our first experience of a Potters Resort but certainly will not be our last. These all inclusive packages are amazing value for money covering everything you need from a simple cup of coffee to your favorite tipple. We would like to thank everyone involved in making our stay a memorable one I would have given more stars if I was able to.

I have just had the most amazing 5 day break at potters resort in Hopton on sea
The staff are so friendly nothing is too much trouble, I'd like to shout out to Liz our waitress in the garden restaurant such a lovely lady she's a credit to potters.
The food, facilities and activities are second to none. Big shout out to the entertainment staff. we watched shows that are west end standard, the compares are some of the most entertaining people I've seen in a long time. We are definitely booking again

From coming through the gate at the start of our breaks to going back out the gate it has always been amazing. All the staff are welcoming and helpful. Facilities are really good. Food and entertainment are plentiful. Families are always welcome and plenty for the youngsters

Simply the best holiday resort in the county. 5 Stars all the way. The level of service goes above and beyond. The all inclusive seems pricey but when you look at what is on offer it ends up really good value, especially if you join the "Friends" club (reccomended).
3 delicious meals a day with soo much choice every meal and an evening supper incase your peckish at 11pm!
All drink inclusive and not house spirits but labelled brands.
Full itinerary of activities throughout the day, archery, crafts, tennis, golf, swimming, an exercise/dance class, lots of quizes or relax in the luxurious spa. Absolutely simply the best evening entertainment shows I have seen, comparable with the West End.
After our very first break at Hopton on Sea we were hooked.
The addition of the 5 lakes golf resort for adults only give everyone a difficult choice of which to go to. My opinion is try either or both you will not be disappointed.

from the day that you book to the day you leave you can rely on the Potters Team to do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are spotless; food amazing quality and choice; activities something for everyone; evening entertainment West End quality ... the perfect UK holiday ... so perfect we have booked to return for Xmas.

My parents passed away within 9 days of each other late last year, they really wanted to take me, my husband, son and niece with her two children to Potters as we had previously been.
So in memory of them we went. It was a fantastic break, there is never anything to complain about, from the staff, the food and the entertainment were fantastic.
It was great to see my Great niece and nephew (aged 2 and 4) enjoy themselves, they even went swimming for the first time.
People say its expensive, but not when you compare to other well know holiday parks where you still have to pay out for food, drinks etc, in Potters once you have paid that is it.
There was only one little point and it certainly isn't a complaint on the late snack, rather than a full meal (Chilli was one) rather smaller things, bacon sandwiches, or sausage rolls something smaller.
But it was a fantastic way to honour my parents and make memories together

The welcome you get when you come into reception is absolutely first class if you have been before if you have not been there before there is always that first welcome if people are not sure where to go if in hotel or bungerlow that get the map plan out and point out where to go. The staff are very friendly and the customer service is excellent in every department from reception right through the restraints and bars even though it is really busy they have the time to greet you when briñging your drinks to in the theatre you have to queue at the bar and even though it is busy they always have a smile and greeting again excellent customer service the all inclusive is also a good deal you would never go hungry with 4good meals a day the entertainment all day from quizzes art and craft and alot of outside activities and the evening entertainment is also excellent I have also maintained it is better then west end shows and that is not the end there is still time to drink into the small hours drink and dance if you like and the late night buffs I enjoy every minute of my stay and I am pleased to be a member of such a great family well done potters I could recommend if you are single people don't hesitate to come alone as the staff always will talk to you and if necessary will find you someone to sit with I have never looked back by coming on my own it's the best thing I ever did for myself coming to potters so I would recommend to all you single people come and give potters a try and I am sure you will never look back

Potters is our favourite place in the UK! We love the food,entertainment, music, sport and staff. All first class,and the comedy is superb! We go at least 2- 3 times a year with our 3 teenagers,who also love it!

I have stayed at Potters so many times, and it is always superb. However this year I can only give 4 stars rather than the usual 5. Unfortunately 2 weeks before our arrival there was a few incidents of sickness and diarrhoea. Because of this Potters quite rightly put several things in place to prevent any further problems. The shop was open but you could only ask for things at the exit rather than go in and browse. Rally Karts were cancelled due to health and safety. I was told it was due to the helmets and the inability of cleaning. Yet other activities went ahead without any cleaning after each use? Food was also served by the staff rather than helping ourselves. Strangely the day we arrived everything was as normal until 12, again the day we left back to normal!? I appreciate Potters do not want to close completely and certain things must be done, but we weren't made aware of it until our arrival.
All in all it was a great break, can't fault the staff, rooms food etc I was just disappointed that not everything was as I expected. Booked 2 more stays so it's not that bad 😂
