Gear linkage cable snapped
My Mum's car broke down and was stuck in gear. We were able to get to the garage and they were fantastic. They were really busy but they did squeeze the car in. The staff were extremely professional, polite and honest and left us at ease. I can't thank them enough for the outstanding workmanship and great value service.

Protyre saved my day.
I was on my way to pick up my wife from hospital after open heart surgery in Southampton on Tuesday 2nd September 2025 when I picked up a puncture. I managed to do a quick seal tyre repair to get me to Protyre 170-176 Burgess rd, Southampton SO16 3HH.
The site manager and his senior workshop worker, Ed, slotted me into an already very busy schedule and got me underway in no time really.
I was so very very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism in all that Protyre did for me that day.

Customer service seriously declined
I've always used this garage but the customer service has really gone downhill. I knew my car would fail on a dangerous due to the tyres so asked for them to be changed before rhe MOT but they refused and now I can't even change the tyres and use my car for the remainder of the MOT whilst I get the majors fixed. They left me in the dirt, without a car all because they wouldn't change the tyres. A garage I've used for over 10 years with 3 cars that I will never use again. They used to be so good, customers were always listened to and looked after. Not any more.

Quick repairs and informative
The team was able to fit my car in last minute and get the radiator replaced in a day. Everyone is always polite and happy to explain how and why things need replacing, without it being condescending.
