Rapid price increases

Even though I have NEVER made a claim on my policy the annual renewal rapidly increases each year. This year the monthly payment jumped an extra £25 per month, my monthly payment now sits at just over £90 per month. I can’t comment on the service or easy of claiming as I have said I have never made a claim or had the need to make contact.

We joined purely pets in June 2021…

We joined purely pets in June 2021 where we were paying just £19 a month, we never really made a claim untill this year we claimed £417 for our dogs emergency treatment, they paid out very fast but after taking the excess and other hidden costs we recieved £78. After making this claim in May my insurance went up from £60 to £116 a month when it was renewed in June and apparently they can do this every year. So very good at dealing with a claim, a lot of hidden extras so make sure you read through properly as I did not and be aware of the fact they can put the premium cost up almost 50 percent each year if they like.

Great cover at great value

Having arranged to pick up a puppy later this month, we needed to organise pet insurance. Having extensively searched the options, which are too many to mention, settled on Purely Pets. Was able to tailor it to our needs easily. The end result was what we were looking for, easily achieved with little fuss or bother, all represented by great value.

Easy to deal with

Just swapped to Purely Pets Insurance after Admiral wanted a 40% increase on last years premium. Purely Pets Insurance provided similar policy for less than last years premium with Admiral

We have made two claims on our policy . Both paid out quickly. Great customer service and great cover for our gsd which is really reassuring.

The replying to my emails where very…

The replying to my emails where very quick but I contacted about a payment date change which was done eventually but first got told i couldnt change it then got told i could but I was still charged the original date when I was told I wouldnt get charged

Shop around before renewing!

Loyal customer since 2022, and I have never made a claim. I started on £12.54 per month, and my renewal has now jumped to £39.60 per month, more than triple in a few years. I understood and expected some increase due to inflation, rising vet costs, and my dog’s age, but after shopping around, I found that Purely Pets offer new customers a better policy (£4,000 cover versus my £3,000) for less than my renewal price. I raised this with them directly and received a generic reply about “rising vet costs” that did not address the point at all. It is hard not to conclude that this has less to do with vet costs, age, or breed, and more to do with extracting as much as possible from existing customers. It also just showed that they do not value loyal customers. If you are already with Purely Pets, check their new customer quotes before renewing, as you may be paying more for less. I am moving my policy elsewhere, as there are other providers offering the same or better cover for less than what I have been charged, or am now being asked to pay.

Recently had two claims for our beloved…

Recently had two claims for our beloved Rupert (dog) who we sadly lost. They were paid out quickly and with the minimum of fuss. They are also relatively inexpensive so it was a no brainer to use this company for our new dog.

Very helpful lady couldn’t beat the compare the market price but was extremely patient and helpful I have taken out a policy but did do it through the compare the market site maybe it would be a good thing to honour those quotes to save all the advisers time and effort

Great value insurance

Great value insurance, easy to get a quote and to set up the policy. Haven't had to claim yet, but seems to be a simple enough process.
The 24/7 vet video call service is handy- it saved me having to take my pup to the vet!
