New car, so we required new plates for towing. This is the second time I've used Quick Plates, and their website instructions are very clear & easy to follow successfully !
Make sure you have your V5C and driving licence to hand, and upload photos of those, it couldn't be easier !
I had a glitch with the delivery postcode that was picked up on the site for my order 62727, but Quick Plates worked with me to get Royal Mail to redirect the plate, and that arrived in a reasonable timeframe.
I can't fault the service - thank you

I ordered number plate for a sign for my horse a made up number plate They took my money but won't refund even though they won't do the number plate until I show proof of ..I'm guessing the number plate but its made up for a sign not a real number plate so there is no proof strange you cannot ring them my opinion use another supplier thanks

Thank you for your feedback. We want to assure you that Quick-Plates is not a scammer— we’re a DVLA-registered supplier and fully compliant with UK regulations. We only require two standard pieces of information:
1. Proof of vehicle entitlement (V5C logbook)
2. Valid photo ID (driving licence )
These checks are legally mandated to prevent fraud, and despite being a simple two-step process, we’ve smoothly supplied hundreds of thousands of plates. As soon as we receive those items, your plates are manufactured and dispatched without delay.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m very sorry to hear about the frustration you’ve encountered. Under UK law—specifically DVLA regulations and British Standard BSAU 145e—we are legally required to verify both the vehicle’s registration entitlement and the purchaser’s identity before dispatching any number plates. That means we can only accept officially recognized documents (for example, a V5C logbook, valid driving licence etc.).
I appreciate that gathering paperwork can feel burdensome, but these checks are not optional—they’re mandated to ensure every plate we supply is fully road-legal. Once we have the correct documentation, we aim for same-day dispatch.
