Needed a headlamp quickly

Found what I wanted on QVSDirect.com after trying B & Q and other retailers could not supply an LED headlamp to replace a lost item. I was disappointed with the postage charge when trying to order to Scotland. A quick call to customer services offered a much more realistic charge so order placed and delivered very quickly as promised. Would use again.

Company and service is shocking

I ordered a few bits £13 worth and paid £5 postage. No sign of parts for days. Rang up to cancel order to be told they are on there way with no dispatch email as stated. Told to reject them and i would get my money back. They never came, i then rang up numerous times to chase this up and got fobbed off to various people who all said they would ring me back and i never received one call back. I then emailed and never recieved anything back. I rang for the next few days and eventually got the number of a complaints manager who told me it would defintley be cancelled that day and i would get an email. I got nothing again, I had to ring up and demand it be done whilst i was still on the phone. The service is truly atrocious. I would never use them again or recommend.

UPDATE - James my order number is 200231942. I don't hold much hope of you getting back to me from my previous experience. But i hope you prove me wrong.

UPDATE - James I never received a phonecall off you on Friday, please get in touch with me. Or send me your details.

I apologise for the breakdown in service. I have spoken to the relevant people who informed me that the goods were lost with a courier service, that we are no longer using in the future. Please let me know your order number so I can look into this further and contact you directly.

Unacceptable customer service

This company states they will ship for next day, what they fail to tell you is that this won't happen if they are waiting for stock for any part of the order. When my order was finally shipped only part of it arrived and when I spoke to them they failed to call me back as they said they would and when I followed it up the next day the parcel was sent somewhere else and being rerouted for Monday .. so an entire weekend lost. I see no reason why the parcel should not have been rerouted immediately as next day in which case it would have arrived. The customer serve reps I spoke to really didn't give a damn. This is my first and ONLY time I will ever deal with this company.

Very slow dispatch

Order placed on Friday 2nd Sep at 9am, Processing (Status checked online on Saturday). I phoned on Monday morning and been told that will be dispatched today for delivery on Tuesday. Monday evening receive email from QVS witch conformation of the dispatch and tracking number (estimated Tuesday). On Tuesday evening I received another email from QVS witch new tracking number (estimated Wednesday 7th Sep). Over £90 stock, next day delivery, waiting 5 days - rubbish!!!

UPDATE - Apologies again for the delayed delivery and thank you for giving me the time to explain the situation. As explained, the goods should have been collected and were awaiting a requested collection, and delivered to you within 1 working day. Our courier service, delayed this by a day and then whilst being in possession of the goods, delayed the delivery to you by another day. I have since taken this up with the Couriers, who have also apologised, and QVS are now using a different courier service. You have my contact details if I can be of assistance with any future orders.

Good follow up to price query.

I ordered 12 garden lights at £16.75 + vat each in July. Discounted above orders of 3 or more. I thought I would ring and ask if any further discount on 12 could be added. I was told the old adige 'we are only just covering cost price etc' amongst other excuses so I left it at that. A month later I am 1 light short so went to order another. Imagine my surprise when I see the cost at £9.95 each. I called and was fed another load of bull *%$t. I have just over paid in excess of £85.

UPDATE - Since writing the review I was called by the company with an apology after an explanation to how this happened. I have been refunded the difference of over £95. Credit to the quick follow up and resolution so it is only fair I correct my comment. The story is as written and could have been avoided in the first place had my query been dealt with there and then instead of an excuse to dismiss the issue with no explanation. After sales service is as important as the sale its self and encourages repeat purchases based on good service.

A bit of a shambles

I ordered two LED security lights. The two products delivered looked similar, but were made by different manufacturers and one of the products was faulty (the light stayed on permanently rather than being activated by the PIR sensor). QVS agreed to deliver a replacement security light and to arrange for the faulty light to be collected separately (once my electrician had removed it).

Some weeks later I received a call from the Tonbridge branch telling me that the light had arrived and saying that they would deliver and collect the old light that day. I explained that the head office had agreed to collect the second light separately, but as I live quite near to the Tonbridge office I agreed to drop the old light off about a week later.

I was told the light would be delivered that afternoon, but no delivery arrived. When I called the following day, I was told that the item was with the couriers and that it would be with me the following working day. A week later, the light has still not arrived. Every time that I have called, it has taken an age to find someone who knows about the issue and it all seems to be very shambolic.

Terrible Service

Placed and paid for order 07/03/2016 was told they were out of stock but would get items within a week and phone me. A fortnight later with no phone call I went back to Tonbridge Branch and was told that items still weren't in stock but they would be found and I would be phoned. It is currently 11/04/2016 and no phone call. Tried to phone Tonbridge Branch but only get message to leave a message and the will contact me.
DO NOT USE THIS FIRM unless you are prepared to wait over a month and be kept in the dark.

AVOID! 16 Days later still no item, pathetic

Terrible company. Ordered 15 lightbulbs from QVS on 16th March. Having not received them I contacted QVS who told me I would receive Thurs 30th or Friday 31st latest. Nothing. Called to ask where they were, was told to call another branch, called twice no answer. Now I'm on hold with the first number I called. 30 minutes so far chasing an order made 16 days ago. Terrible. When you order a product you expect to receive it in a reasonable amount of time.

Update: Just been told they still don't have the item in stock! Why list the item on your site, allowing a customer to pay for an item you don't have??? Thanks for telling me 16 days later!!! Great customer service, NOT!

3 attempts at sending out correct item and still not arrived...

Waiting for 2 months on colorectal item to get sent out, have been sent incorrect item 3 times and have now finally given up of receiving it. Dealt with Louise and have got nowhere....awful service and thanks for taking my money and not sending out correct item.....
Will defo never use again.
