A viewing for a flat was agreed by Red Door Homes. They sent me an e-mail the day before that said, "I have booked you to view property 92 Wheat Square, Whitstable CT$ 1XX on Wed 1st April 2026. I will be accompanying".
But he / they didn't turn up. On the same day, I started my new job in the same town. What they had done was to bombard me with texts and phone calls to confirm the appointment. As I work as a Chef, not in an office or at a computer, I didn't touch me phone all day.
Looking now at their "Terms and Conditions" attached to that e-mail, it says NOTHING about the need for confirmation of the appointment or viewing.
They are simply LAZY and didn't want to get out of their office. I would give them ZERO out of 5, not 1 out of 5.
So the e-mail sent was the day before. If it had been a week or several weeks or a month, I can understand the need for confirmation, but not for an appointment made the day before.

Nice and polite
but the flat I rented was in horrible state, not cleaned so I had to put 2 whole weekends into deep cleaning.
Renovations that were done here were done so badly it must have been malicious and after talking to the landlord it became apparent why since he is not willing to pay for anything except materials, meaning I'd have to cover most of the price of renovating HIS flat.
Overall I think RedDoor Homes should do a better job in quality control and screening landlords.
The absolute least I'd expect would be to deep clean the flat before letting it to a new tenant and even that wasn't done.

Flat they rented out was quite disgustingly dirty. Globules of fat and grease in the extractor fan and kitchen surfaces, dirt balls and old underwear under the bed and dirt encrusted sofa with insides bursting out from it, limescale all over the shower and much more.
Took me hours to clean it and make it nice and then when I moved out they charged me £75 for a power clean in the shower even though they can show me no photos of it worse than I moved in.
