The guy 'Dave' that facilitated my cbt today in Chorly was a good teacher, he was clear, honest, safe and got me through it although early on i started to lose a bit of confidence in myself but i got through and to a safe standard. Also great down to earth guy. Its a pleaure to give my teacher a great review. D.Fishwick

I cant thank RJH Motorcycle training enough for their help and guidance. Luke, Jonathan, Scott and Mark in the office were beyond brilliant. Such a great bunch of down to earth, personable, relatable people, that made me feel at ease throughout the process, across Wigan and Eccles bases. Their instruction is delivered in a relaxed but concise way - professional but in good humour. I had not ridden for many years, and getting my full licence and “a bigger bike” was something I was desperate for, but could never get around to doing, amongst work and family commitments, I booked the DAS course to finally get it done and get back to doing something I thoroughly enjoy. Despite it all taking place over a short timeframe, it allowed me to navigate around my busy work schedule and I never felt rushed. RJH were flexible when it came to bookings and they settled any nerves I had straight away. My objective was never to simply get through my test, it was to be a safe and competent rider - and I feel that RJH has given me every opportunity to be that. Having passed both exams at first time of asking, I am thankful for having picked RJH Motorcycle Training to recommence my biking journey - I cannot recommend them highly enough, thank you.

Paid £1600 for DAS than additional £240 for an extra lesson as I was not familiar with Darwen in Blackburn as I stay in Manchester. Passed my MOD 1 & 2 first time. I did find it rather expensive. But I met two wonderful instructors. Tony you legendary man, not only did you teach me everything, you made it fun but strict at the same time with a great sense of humor. John B as well thank you for being patient with me and showing me around Darwen. Both you lads are top, top gentleman. You both have wonderful passion. Ride Safe

Amazing staff and had amazing patience for me as a new rider. I went from the start of not really being able to use the bike at all to then being able to ride it in a safe manor and understanding alot more about riding that I previously never even knew. Only complaint I can have is about the weather I'm surprised the tyres didn't melt to the ground with that heat 😂

Do not trust this company.
As listed by other reviewers they are not honest about how you finish a days training.
I was one other student who was a beginner
She fell off the bike and injured herself.
Consequently the instructor spent way too much time with her and said we were unable to finish the training in time allocated.
They then insist that you pay another full day training.
It is a scam and they are not flexible or understanding.

I would avoid them at all costs..
Very polite on the outside but no desire to assess each students ability and be understanding of unusual circumstances like bad weather and injured students in your class.

I had my mod one driving test today and passed at the first attempt thanks to Tony at RJH Eccles. He did my mod one training last week and demonstrated the whole test routine so well and made us practice three times before testing us a few times after. This Enabled me to pass the test at first attempt. He’s an excellent tutor and a great fun guy as well. Well done Tony thank you RJH.

Great experience with using RJH. Made very welcome from my first visit right the way through my training. I’d never ridden a motorcycle before and was approaching my sixtieth birthday and wasted to obtain my full motorcycle license.
The team at RJH gave me the confidence, skills and awareness to ride a 650cc machine out on the open toad. The instructors are incredibly experienced and great at coaching you through all aspects of learning.
I traveled a considerable distance to use RJH having read reviews and made the best decision in choosing them for my training.
I now have my full license and look forward to using RJH again for advance training.

Took my a me CBT today in Wigan having never ridden a geared bike before. My instructor was Luke Pastor. He was top notch. His instructions were clear and easy to follow and he made me feel very confident on the bike. I had a very enjoyable day.

Went to RJH at Chorley to renew my CBT and met the instructor, Luke. I was put at ease immediately - Luke was a pleasant and friendly guy. He told us a bit about himself and the experiences he's had. The first hour was tuition and I gained a lot of knowledge about motorbike equipment and kit. All the bikes there were new. The next part of the day, on the pad and on the road was quite enjoyable with Luke giving good advice on how to achieve what was expected. I'll be back to RJH in the future to get my full license,

I had to renew my CBT Today and Tony the (T UNIT) was my Instructor could not of had a better bloke to do it with while the weather was horrible it didn't put a damper on the day Tony is a top bloke funny and really helpfull🫡

Booked the full course with RJH from CBT to full license. Could not recommend highly enough this company very helpful and knowledgable. Had plenty of tips. Had very little experience last on a small bike in my teens and over 30 years later decided to try and get a full bike license. Passed all parts first time lastly my MOD2 this tuesday and passed without a single fault. Highly recommend RJH

Don't get what you paid for.. Booked a CBT in June 2025 (8-4), I'd never been on a bike before. By 1 pm the instructor decided that nobody on the full day course would be able to get onto the road that day as we all needed extra training and called time on the whole day and advised we rebook for another day. I was then charged £199 for an additional CBT day. Was advised to come at 9:30 am until 4pm. On arrival there were 2 other people also training. One who had previously dabbled on bikes and a guy who had been riding for years but was redoing his CBT and licence after not riding for years. Everyone seemed to be doing well. After having my confidence knocked the first time we managed to do more manoeuvres in a shorter space of time and although I'm not the best rider in the world, obviously being a beginner, I felt a lot better then on the first day. Nevertheless, at 12. The instructor decided that the only person who would be ready for the road today was the experienced rider. We were told that if the instructor had another 90 mins then we would be ready, she then sent myself and the other guy home again and advised us to book another day!! Are you kidding me?? Over £400 down and still haven't received one full day training. Kind of puts me off from trying again

I've never had a better teacher. Gareth, broke everything down and explained everything involved with the CBT. Very patient man, on the road I had omitted doing some important lifesavers, but he explained what I had done and demonstrated what happens and why. Building my confidence, I couldn't have had a more professional, patient teacher.

Just have to say a big thank you to rjh especially all the Johns who I had for training each has there own still but all give you the tools you need really enjoyed my time with you all learning hopefully see you all soon on my travels thank you

Absolutely thrilled I got through my CBT with John Howells in Eccles. He kept me relaxed, calm and amused throughout the training and was a delight to ride in front of on the road, loved his teaching style and wit! Hats off to him for getting me through as it took me several attempts being a nervous learner. Thank you, John!

Had Uncle Tony for my cbt and mod1 and mod2 training. Top bloke, really proffesional. Recommended++

Just finished my training and have now completed all four tests/examinations, from theory to Mod 2. Excellent advice, support and mentoring provided by RJH throughout my journey. RJH were highly reliable in providing the necessary equipment and clothing at every step. Changes to booking dates, when needed, were accommodated with ease. Thank you!
