Roomrs Living Experience
My overall experience with Roomrs was wonderful. The apartment felt intentionally designed to be both well furnished and comfortable, making it easy to settle into life in NYC. I especially appreciated the sense of community, the convenient location, and how easy the team made every step of the process. This company was so great in assisting the move in process. They were there both in person and on the phone when I needed the support. Moving in was easy. They sent me a list of instructions and frequently ask questions to help the transition go as smoothly as possible. Very convenient and fast service. I started to look for a flat in New York and was able to move in within a week. The accommodations are nice, and the customer service team is responsive and helpful. Overall, a great experience!

Good Landing Pad For The City
My stay with Roomrs was a great landing pad for the move to NYC. I was able to get a good rate on a short term rental with none of the overhead of subletting a place. The process was easy and the support team was great at addressing all my issues and questions. As for the apartment itself, it was clean, secure, and well equipped. There's a wide variety of locations to choose from and they offer switching apartments during your stay if you don't end up liking the building or neighborhood. I really have no complaints. If you're looking for a flexible and reliable stay in NYC I'd recommend staying with Roomrs.

it was very convenient and nice experience living at the Roomrs apt. i got my place through 3D viewing, but luckily it was pretty same setting with the photos. Also, the process of getting apt was incredibly quick and easy considering this is nyc. highly recommend this service for the new comers of the city.

Roomrs made my move to NYC much easier and less stressful. The platform was very easy to use, and the whole sales and leasing process was smooth from start to finish. Their customer service team was also very responsive whenever I had a question, which made me feel supported throughout the process.
The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos, clean, and ready when I arrived. Overall, I had a very positive experience with Roomrs and would definitely recommend them to anyone moving to NYC.

Took my deposit
I reported a cracked stationary glass panel immediately (with video) and denied liability as I wasn't present in my apartment when this occurred. After move-out on 8/31/25, Roomrs withheld $1,600 from my deposit but did not send a post–move-out itemized statement within 14 days as NY law requires. They also sent my $750 refund to the wrong account before fixing it. I’ve filed with the NYS AG and am proceeding to Small Claims. Would not recommend~

The stationary glass panel in your room was found cracked during your tenancy and was reported by you while you were still in possession of the unit. As outlined in the lease you signed, tenants are responsible for damage that occurs inside their private room during their stay. After receiving your report, a maintenance team conducted a review, and we provided an invoice and statement for the full replacement of the panel. This invoice was shared with you and the balance made clear, and the amount was applied in accordance with the lease agreement.
Regarding the security deposit timeline, the deduction explanation were provided, and the refund portion was processed. While there was an initial processing error with the bank details you provided, this was corrected promptly once brought to our attention, and the $750 refund was successfully reissued.
We understand that you disagree with the damage assessment, and you’re fully entitled to pursue any channels you feel appropriate. We respect that. We’re sorry that your experience didn’t meet your expectations, but we stand by the handling of this matter and the accuracy of the charge based on the lease terms and the documented condition of the room.

Stylish, Hassle free, & amazing bang for your buck
I lived in a Roomrs apartment during my first year living in nyc. It's a really great option for people who are new here and don't want to deal with navigating all the complexities of traditional apartment hunting and finding roommates. The fact that utilities, wifi, and bi-weekly cleaning is included in the rent makes it a super affordable while also being in a great location. I was 10 mins walk to downtown Williamsburg and right next to the L train - for this price specifically it was such a great find. The renters portal and customer service were also really easy to use and quick to respond.
