Very unprofessional, miss-leading with costs, hidden T&Cs, greedy

So unprofessional, dishonest, miss-leading and greedy company. Enquired about a car. Was told I can only view it after paying reservation deposit of £250 as it's in a compound, not cleaned, .... excuses.
The actual deposit required to reserve on their website was only £150.
Kieran also tried to talk me into a finance deal over the phone multiple times without seeing a car saying there are no strings attached, no credit search, etc. Rejected their suggestion.

Followed up a few days later to ask if the car is ready now to come over to inspect/test drive, but again- the usual sales of car not ready, it needs reservation deposit to get it prepared, etc. Although its marketed any of their cars are ready to inspect/buy same day.

Eventually decided to reserve for £250 to be able to test drive it'd a long way from home, but no T&Cs for refund were explained neither on the phone nor sent by email.

Called again to cancel my test drive/inspection a bit later, but of course Kieran would not give my deposit back. I complained to their complains guy- Radish, but it was handled so unprofessionally and loughed at me, quote: ''Are you insane? ''

Avoid this company, they'll sweet talk you in reserving the car, even worst putting a finance application in without seeing a car, but then in case of cancellation or if there is an issue with the car- you'll have a nightmare to deal with.
They only give 3months warranty which is nothing compared to an approved car by a dealership or more reputable reseller.

When someone leaves a negative review- they badmouth a customer saying it's not a genuine review and claims its their family/friends double complaining on the customer's behalf. Anything to discredit a genuine person who had bad experience with them.

They'll not treat you fairly, wont' be upfront about hidden T&Cs so avoid RS Car Sales at all cost.

Why? Becuase you placed a deposit then changed your mind?

This is nearly 2 years since your last interaction with our business.
In an evening. Where you have chosen to go out of your way to leave feedback.

You placed a deposit ( nearly 2 years ago) and then withdrew from the terms of the deal. Of course in keeping with the theme of someone on the receiving end of a no to their request as a result of this we end up with the lowest possible review rating which is one star.

To highlight our deposit process is exceptionally simple.

If you leave a reservation /deposit on our car prior to viewing it and come out and don't like the car its completely refundable.
If you leave a deposit and then do not turn up to view it, whatever that reason may be ( lost job, sudden bereavement, changed mind, bought car elsewhere, sudden divorce, finding out the child you raised as your own for 32 years actually belongs to someone else, sudden criminal proceedings, don't like the colour) the deposit is not refundable.

If you come out in person and leave a deposit for a car having shaken hands on a deal and then contact us after the event to say you have changed your mind for whatever reason then the deposit is again not refundable.

This works for our business, it works for the vast majority of honest and decisive clients we have great relationships with.
A deposit is a mutual commitment and prevents others from proceeding with the deal.

The only people it doesn't work with are those who think the rules don't apply to them.
The very same people who should they leave a deposit and agree a time to come out to view and collect the car would be incredibly miffed should they turn up and find the deposit was being refunded instead of the car being ready.

To clear an additional point, which was quite concerning, we do not and have not ever had someone called Radish working in the business. Would you be able to draw a picture of Radish and send it to us via email?


** Just had a read of your 14 other mainly one star reviews on trust
pilot. Seems like you struggle to follow simple terms and expect the world to play to your rules not you play to everyone elses.
You complained about parking in a car park, not paying and then getting a ticket as you thought it would be fine to just pay later. What planet are you on ?

Much like some people should not be allowed to reproduce and vote for the greater good of humanity this man should be banned from any review accounts.

Best car buying experience I've ever had.

This must be on of the best and more straightforward cat buying experiences I've ever had. At firstI went with one of my friends to buy a car for him and as soon as I saw how honest and professional they were ( especially Tom) I was keen to get myself a car from them. Previously I've had very bad experiences from other car sale places (including big brand names). Tom was so helpful, made us both me and my friend a great deal and made the process so smooth from start to finish. I'll be definitely be buying more cars from them in the future.I want to also add the quality and state of their cars, they are clean and in serious MINT condition, I was impressed by their show room and there was not a single car there that was not in amazing conition.

Leaving an excellent review about this garage, staff very helpful, understanding and patient. Would 100% recommend buying a car for here as customers service is 10/10. Would definitely be dealing with this garage again for sure. 👍🏼

Mercedes CLA

I recently purchased a Mercedes CLA from RS Car Sales Limited and I couldn’t be happier with both the car and the service I received.

The price was very competitive and the car itself is in excellent condition. From the start, the team were friendly, helpful and professional.

A few weeks after purchase, I unfortunately discovered a significant coolant leak. I contacted them on Friday and they immediately reassured me that it would be covered under the complimentary warranty. My main concern was the distance, but Dale advised me to contact my breakdown provider.

To my surprise, the AA recovered my car to them on Tuesday, and by Wednesday I received a message from Dale, confirming the repair had already been completed and the car was ready for collection.

The whole process cost me £0 and was handled incredibly quickly and efficiently. I’ve honestly never experienced such a smooth and stress-free aftersales service from a dealership.

Highly recommend RS Car Sales — they truly stand by their cars and look after their customers.

A big thank you to Dale and his Team!

Excellent service and a reliable car

I had a great experience buying my car from RS Car Sales a few months ago. Tom was excellent to deal with, he was professional honest and didn’t put any hard sell pressure on me which I appreciated. Now I’ve been driving for a few months, I can confidently say it’s in good condition and exactly as described. I’m very happy with the car I bought and would definitely recommend Tom and the team to anyone looking for a reliable used car !

Brought a car from these guys…

Brought a car from these guys yesterday, car was waiting for me on arrival, test drive offered immediately, small issue with the car i noticed on test drive, they took it straight into garage to have a look. Got the car i wanted, picked it up, drove it away, all good.

I had a great experience with this car company. Thomas provided excellent service from start to finish, he was helpful, professional, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Really appreciated his support and would definitely recommend!

Amazing stock and great prices

Had the car that i wanted at the right price spoke the staff super helpful and helped with a good price for my trade in. Sale was easy and fast phoned the Tuesday and picked up on the Wednesday no mither definitely recommend to anyone looking for high end cars brilliant service.

Horrendous Dealer Experience

I purchased a Mercedes GLC (WF68 WKU) from RS Car Sales for £15,995, delivered on 5 February 2026.
Within days of delivery, the vehicle showed clear issues, including excessively high tyre pressures that had been set (clearly to hide the puncture) and a rear tyre losing pressure (slow puncture). I reported this in writing on 9 February and received no meaningful response.
I exercised my legal right to reject the vehicle within 30 days under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. RS Car Sales have refused to accept the rejection and have failed to arrange collection or provide a refund.

Despite early notification of faults and clear legal rights, communication has been poor and responses dismissive.

I am now left with a rejected vehicle still on my driveway, 16k down, with the dealer unwilling to resolve the situation properly.

Currently with Consumer Rights and Trading Standards.

Proceed with caution.

Rory will no doubt say i was driving it therefore it was fine. Not how the law works Rory.

Your response is noted.

For clarity, this was a distance sale. I notified you within 14 days of delivery that I wished to return the vehicle, as is my right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This right does not require justification.

Separately, I also raised a fault within 30 days and exercised my short-term right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Your response does not address either legal position and instead includes inappropriate personal remarks, which are not acceptable from a business.

The vehicle has been available for collection since delivery. I will now proceed to enforce my rights through the appropriate legal channels.

You aren't £16k down. You have the car you paid for which is perfectly fine bar an issue you created and have turned into Everest from a molehill.

It isn't stuck on your driveway as you have been using it.

The condition of the car was signed for at point of delivery/collection and no mention of any over inflation at that point. The car has functioning tyre pressure sensors which were not illuminated at point of handover.

I strongly suspect you have over inflated them yourself given the MOT checks, pre sale video and pre handover check.

If you have picked up a puncture whilst driving the car then that isn't a fault. Its also about £12.00 to fix. To let some of the air out you have put in is free of charge.

If what you were saying is true anyone with half a brain and of sound mind and faculties would just let a little air out and get on with life.

For RS Car sales we have simply had the bad fortune of selling to someone that needs serious professional help that as a car dealership we cannot provide.

I really had a 5* service

I really had a 5* service, I dealt with Tom who was very helpful and answered all my questions, when I got there my new car was ready and waiting for me to test drive new tyres and newly serviced. He even checked in to see how I was liking my new car. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Sports steering wheel fitted

Went in RS CAR SALES today to have a sports steering wheel fitted . While there they fitted doing me a service even though I hadn’t booked . Wheel looks fantastic I also had a judder on my car when pulling off but had completely disappeared. Sales team were great , great communication and a great price and will definitely be coming back again many thanks guys 5 stars

Great service

Great service, friendly staff, and a good selection of cars. We intended on browsing but came away with a new car on the day. The buying process was really smooth and easy - thanks again!

I would strongly advise anyone to avoid…

I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this company like the plague. My car developed serious brake issues and was later confirmed to have a fault that should have been properly investigated much earlier. Instead of taking responsibility, the company dismissed my concerns and handled the situation very poorly.

The attitude I experienced was rude and, at times, came across as sexist. My concerns were not taken seriously and communication was extremely unprofessional.

To make matters worse, the fault became unavoidable just three days after the warranty expired, leaving me with a repair bill of around £2,000 to make the car safe to drive. Considering I raised concerns about the vehicle much earlier, this is unacceptable.

The lack of accountability and customer care has been shocking. I expected far better from a company selling vehicles. In my experience, this has been an extremely stressful and disappointing situation.

I would not recommend this company to anyone.

This proves the type of car company you are with that response 😂

Like I’d trust a company like yours to pick up and fix it…. The voice recordings are all proof of the way I had to deal with you. The independent company what a joke! 20 min test drive, wow fantastic… your just awful, wouldn’t send my worst enemy to deal with you lot!

You purchased a GLC on finance In your elderly mothers name it transpires as your own credit is so poor as a middle aged women no banks or finance companies would lend you a 50p mix.

You had no issues with the car until after the end of the warranty period.

You were offer an extended warranty for £599 at point of sale. It would have covered the sudden failure of said item.
You had chosen to decline an extended warranty.

Upon reporting your concern we actually offered to collect the car from you in Scotland, bring it to our base and investigate your claim free of charge and offer a repair potentially free or at cost price.
We were open to resolution as we always are.

Sexist? Saying no to a woman or man isn’t sexist it’s just what happens when there is no warranty.

You accepted this and we set about making arrangements, but while this was ongoing you spoke to the finance company to complain about us.
The finance company then got in contact and part of their process was to ascertain cause of fault.

The finance company sent out an independent engineer to inspect your car at their cost and the independent engineer ruled the fault was not present or developing at point of sale and has just happened.

This ruled, in line with the consumer rights act our business was not responsible for it and you as the user of the car were responsible for ongoing servicing and maintenance.

It’s a shame you had a problem with the car but if something happens to break many months and many miles after ownership I really fail to see why that’s our fault?
If it was we we would be governed to offer years of unlimited mileage total coverage on every car.

You really played yourself on the way you conducted yourself with this and ended up with egg on your face.

Fantastic service

Phoned in the morning, given an appointment for late morning with great costumer service. On visit, everyone was so friendly, making every effort to make sure we were ok. Main person we dealt with was Dale who was very knowledgeable, great communication and made the experience so satisfying.

Even with various questions I asked (probably over the top from myself) this wasn’t seen as an issue and every question answered putting me as a costumer at so much ease.

I bought a fantastic vehicle at a great price with no pressure from staff who appeared to be customer based and NOT commission driven.

I can’t speak highly enough about the service I received and will look to use them again and recommend them to others.

I only wish I could give more than 5 stars!
