Great Customer Service
I called and spoke to James who was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. My query was worrying me but within minutes James resolved it leaving me feeling reassured. He also explained how the scheme works for tenants giving me very helpful guidance. An exceptional member of staff working for a scheme that is valued by people who rent in Scotland. Zero stars
I rented my lovely 3 bedroomed house with garden and off road parking to a tenant for 4 years. I had to evict the tenant due to the damage they caused to the property. The repairs so far has cost me over £10,000.I have provided photos and videos pre and post tenancy and all the relevant paperwork relating to the tenancy to Safe Deposit Scotland. Safe Deposit Scotland have advised me that the photos, videos and pre tenancy checklist are not evidence of the damage so the tenant who destroyed my house is getting their deposit back. I am devasted. I will not let my house again so this decision is only to the detriment of honest people who want to rent a home.
So disappointed in this wholly unfair decision.
Landlords, think twice before using this organisation.
