Absolute con artists. Quoted £59 plus VAT on phone even explained the whole situation and still confirmed the fixed price. The guy arrives says he needs to drill it going to cost £185. I hesitated for a while then said I’ll try something else but it’s still going to be £130+. Opened the door in about 30 seconds with ease. No idea why I’ve been charged extra at all. Please avoid!!!
I was quoted £59.99 to break the lock, and £29.99 to replace it. As well as being promised a 30 minute call out. He arrived 1hr 20m later, broke the lock and didn't replace it. Still charged me £99+VAT! I have called them 3 times now, been promised a call back and have still not received one. Do Not Use!
They are a UK-based company that appear to subcontract local locksmiths under their brand name.
I recently used their service after my key snapped in half before I could even insert it into the lock. When I called, I asked for a quote to gain entry to my property without changing the lock and was told it would cost £60, which I agreed to.
When the locksmith a man named Stanley arrived, he immediately said he would need to drill through the existing lock and that the cost would be £160. As it was 7 p.m. on a Sunday, I felt I had little choice but to proceed. Before he began, I asked whether drilling would damage the door, and he assured me it would not.
Once the lock was changed, there were metal shavings scattered everywhere in my hallway. I asked if he could clean up using his vacuum, to which he replied, “We don’t clean we’re emergency locksmiths.”
When it came time to pay, he began adding extra charge that hadn’t been mentioned before. He said the total was £280, £160 for the new cylinder lock and £120 for the drilling. At that point, I realised I was being ripped off. After I challenged the price, he reduced the total to £200.
A couple of days later, I noticed that my metal door had been bent significantly around the lock visible from the hinge side. When I called to report the damage, he initially denied it, but after I sent photos, he admitted he may have caused it, he said it’s minor damaged and that we can’t do anything about it!
Looking at their reviews for other regions, they are to be avoided at all costs!
