If you want a unique, authentic, and flawless trip, I would give Scott Dunn my highest recommendation. We had a wonderful 8-day honeymoon in Morocco courtesy of the Scott Dunn team! The trip was truly one-of-a-kind and we can't wait to use them for another experience. With Scott Dunn, if you have an idea, they can likely make it a reality.
The biggest strengths of Scott Dunn are making an international trip truly unique and 'frictionless' while providing unparalleled customer service. I could do as much (or as little) research into the trip as I wanted, knowing that the Scott Dunn team took all of my preferences into account when booking hotels and experiences. They recommended activities given our wishes (i.e. food tours and cooking classes because we love to try new foods, hot air balloon and sidecar tour of the medina because we like adventure, etc.). They recommended and booked hotels within our budget, which were accommodating, often providing complimentary upgrades because of our honeymoon status.
At every point of the trip, we felt taken care of with the support to make any possibility a reality. For example, if we needed help picking a restaurant for dinner and making a reservation, our local guide recommended a place, made the reservation, and our driver took us there and back. If we wanted to take more time to explore a place independently, we could. Everything was flawless.

From beginning to end this our Botswana trip exceeded our expectations .
Matt from Scott Dunn was knowledgeable and patient when adapting plans to fit our tight schedule , the result being perfect . MMA Dinare was amazing with amazing game drives and so so friendly guides and staff . The Sitatunga and Duba Plains accommodation and staff blew out expectations out of the water - thank you so much to all .

We had the best holiday ever to the Maldives this year. Scott Dunn's attention to detail is amazing and on this occasion included a tailor-made video for us to look at our villa and the view from the villa. I am also very impressed by their ability to listen to your general ambitions and preferences and translate this into the right itinerary and experiences.

I have used Scott Dunn a number of times and have always found them to be exceedingly professional. Always willing and able to make fantastic recommendations, they are equally happy to tailor your holiday to whatever you want. In any organization, one is only as strong as one’s weakest link, and their portfolio of local providers do a fantastic job upholding Scott Dunn’s sterling reputation. I booked a 12 day trip to Chile with SD in October of 2023 to take place March 9-22, 2024. I was promised a 5 star, luxury adventure trip. My trip included 3 nights in Atacama desert, one night in Santiago, 4 nights in Patagonia and 3 nights in the Lake District. With my flight to and from LA to Santiago this trip was $20k for just me (single female traveler). My three must do things for this trip was star gazing in Santiago, Patagonia and penguins in the Lakes district.
Atacama – My “5 star” hotel was a bare bones room with a bed and a bench- NO AC in the room- in the driest desert in the world. It was 90F in the day and at night two small windows offered no ventilation and the room was 80 degrees plus at night – absolutely miserable. I slept a TOTAL of 5 hours in 3 days. I emailed SD every day and got no help other than a humidifier. Hotel management offered no help or accommodation. This hotel is responsible for all of your excursions and experiences - who you get as your coordinator makes or breaks your trip. When my coordinator asked me what I wanted to do in Atacama I clearly told him my sole purpose was to Star gaze (darkest place on earth with 330+ nights a year of perfect star gazing)- he booked my observatory night on the last night of my stay (they are supposed to book you your first or second night just in case there is an issue) - and the visibility my night was less than 5% so I got nothing - a manager later told me that the staff were aware that visibility that night was going to be 50% at best, yet I was booked that night. So I flew 26+ hours, got no sleep in 3 days to star gaze and got no stargazing. I emailed SD immediately to see if anything could be done to help and I got no response other than Santiago would be better as they already called the hotel and assured me there would be AC.
SD called Singular hotel in Santiago before I arrived to assure that there was AC. There is AC- it is also locked at 76F – that the manager outright lied to me about for nine hours until I had no choice but to try to sleep . I was emailing my trip advisor, calling SD HQ and texting my “on the ground in Chile” crew getting no response – so there was another night of no sleep. My city tour of Santiago was two blocks of looking at government buildings and getting a coffee because no one bothered to verify that the cable car and train were open – and they were not- one day a year closed for maintenance. Furthermore the hotel booked in the historic district vs new area is not safe.
In the Lakes District – an area I knew nothing of- I was sent 3 days of activity and hiking and penguin sightseeing – the pictures in my “detailed itinerary” show this sunny idyllic area and describe my daily excursions of “starting my day on a ferry”- First of all it rains/downpours 270+ days a year there – so 3 days of outdoor activities is low to zero probability. On the day of My penguin island tour – it was severe storm- and the tour did NOT start with a ferry ride – it started with 2.5 hours driving in bumper to bumper traffic, to a 40 minute ferry on stormy waters, to 1.5 hour winding drive to get to a beach completely closed due to inclimate weather that NO ONE – not SD or the tour guides hired by SD bothered to call to see if penguin watching was even an option with such poor weather – which is was not- so we had to turn around and head back- 11 hours of driving, ferries in category 3-4 storms- not only a wasted day, but I was car sick and had vertigo from the ferries. I was supposed to go on a hike the last day I was in the Lakes District before my evening flight – I have multiple emails confirming that I could return to the hotel to shower after hiking, before flying for 26 hours back to LA. Well the hike was 2 hours away from the hotel, to have to hike 2 hours, to drive back to the hotel 2 hours, to have maybe 15 minutes to shower to get back in the car to drive 2 hours back to the airport. The tour guide told me this was ridiculous and not possible , so that day was entirely canceled. SD claims to have thorough knowledge of countries and regions – but it was abundantly clear that is not the case here.
MY once in a lifetime trip ended with me only getting 1/3 must do’s and not sleeping for an entire 1/3 of the trip due to trusting my trip advisor that my trip would be the “5 star luxury” trip would be exactly that. After a month of communicating with multiple managers, I have been offered an offensive, paltry refund of less than 10% . I would not trust SD with another trip, let alone one of this magnitude and price. You trust these companies will provide you with the once in a lifetime, exceptional trip that you work weeks to curate and pay for- only to find out the reality falls depressingly short. I have never been more disappointed in a travel experience in my life. You will not get a luxury, seamless trip, at least in Chile.

A perfectly tailored holiday to Sri Lanka was put together for us by Scott Dunn having discussed our requirements in detail. The properties Scott Dunn use, the itineraries with the optional experiences they put together and their attention to detail really make for a perfect holiday. We really felt we'd seen the best of Sri Lanka, its culture, history, the wonderful food and its stunning scenery.

I loved the seamless transfer from Indonesia airport to our hotel. My guide in Singapore was knowledgeable and took care of me even when I was touring on my own. When I travel with Scott Dunn, I know I will be taken cared off.

Just back from another amazing Scott Dunn holiday. Hannah helped create a truly memorable trip to Thailand and Laos with lots of special touches - walking with elephants, cooking classes, temples, waterfalls and many other great excursions. Scott Dunn elevate the travel experience to such an extent that we book all our trips with them. WOW !! A perfect honeymoon
We contacted Hannah at Scott Dunn to help us arrange our honeymoon at short notice to Sri Lanka. From when we arrived in Sri Lanka we were taken care of by our amazing guide, he was very very knowledgeable, helpful and looked after us like we were superstars. All of our hotels were perfect and we were given 5* treatment all of the way !!!
We will definitely use Scott Dunn in the future for our next holiday..

Scott Dunn touts that they are experts in their destinations, but this is far from the truth. After inquiring about a trip to Japan and speaking with their agent for over 20 minutes, it was clear that they didn't know any more than the 3 main cities. He knew nothing about the areas outside of Osaka, Kyoto, or Osaka, and even with Osaka, I knew more than he did after just watching some youtube videos. Looking into it - the agents are all young and been in the industry for only months. Not experts at all.

Our 8th time booking our annual ski trip with Scott Dunn and we wouldn’t do it any other way. The attention to detail is perfect. Everything is taken care of, making it all completely stress free.
All the travel specialists are so friendly and professional making sure they meet any requirements. All the personal touches on arrival make the whole experience so enjoyable.

We loved Niyama, beautiful resort, family beach villa was perfect for our family and very spacious. Kids club, food and activities such as SUP yoga and surfing were very fun. Our thakuru Aly was amazing. We loved the sea plane and eveything went so smoothly.

As with our previous Scott Dunn trips, the Cambodia trip was very planned, with a great mix of excursions and relaxation. The hotels chosen were fantastic. There was a bit of a miscommunication snafu with a delayed flight, and some smaller niggles, but nothing huge.

Our advisor made suggestions that we hadn’t thought of even though we had looked in depth at the resort website. Her understanding of the choices at the resort was very comprehensive and we really appreciated the package she put together for us. It ticked all our requirements and more.
Her advice to book our evening meals in advance was excellent and this was all done for us. The “warning”that the last few days of our holiday was in half term was also much appreciated.

I called and had a lengthy conversation with a young woman, who assured me that she'd send some quotations the following day. I received the courtesy email to share contact details the same afternoon and I never heard back! (Despite me emailing for an update) Really poor communication & customer service. I won't be using Scott Dunn again.
