Disgraceful
When my mother was alive I ordered her some things under my name as she was not capable of doing this herself. She died last August and over the past 15 months I have phoned customer services at least 5 times asking them to remove me from their mailing list as it was upsetting for my 92 year old father to keep receiving these catalogues at his house as it reminded him of the wife he'd just lost after 60 years of marriage. Each time I was assured by the person I was speaking to that I would be removed. More catalogues kept coming so I filled in a online form to Shipton & Co demanding that they remove me from their mailing list under the right to be forgotten UK GDPR ruling. What did they do then? They started emailing me asking me if I wanted to buy their stuff!!!!! Another catalogue has just arrived. How bloody hard is it to remove my name from their mailing list. It's a total lack of respect and very upsetting for all of us. If I could give 0 as a review I would have done.

Benchmark for Excellence
Over the years I have used Shipton&Co many times. From the first contact (by telephone, too long in the tooth for computerised ordering 🤔) And as I was phone earlier today. They have never let me down. I was late with my Christmas order, and was informed. The company would do their best, but it wasn't promised.At about 11.45 this morning a recorded package arrived. My wife's presents in time for the big day 🎁🎄🎅So in this review can I say again. A brilliant professional, yet comfortable, easy to deal with company. The product was good and delivery was fast! However the y initially charged me for two free gifts at £90 and the VAT twice. My phone call was acted on within a few hours and everything was put right.

Jewellery with a difference
Always visit these shops in Scarborough and Stratford-upon-Avon. The jewellery is beautiful and very well priced. The staff are an exception to the company. Lovely ladies in both shops, always willing to help when I make orders over the phone. A real must for jewellery lovers who like something different to the norm. Highly recommend

I am a regular Shipton customer. I particularly enjoy going to the Keswick store, where the members of staff are so lovely and helpful. I often order online too. I would have given five stars but for the fact that I wasn't notified when my order had been dispatched, so, despite ordering in good time, was uncertain whether the gifts for Christmas presents that I had ordered would arrive on time. I therefore had to contact customer service. They offered a very quick response, saying that my order had been dispatched and had been with Royal Mail for a few days and it was the postal service that was suffering delays. It would be great, when ordering online, if customers were notified that orders had been dispatched, in line with other companies. This would give reassurance that orders were not lost in the ether. Other than that, I love Shipton's jewellery and will continue to be a loyal customer.
