What a nonsense I spent 30 minutes…
What a nonsense I spent 30 minutes trying to play anything but all that came up was that it was reloading it took me another 10 minutes to withdraw my money
I am a vip customer with sky but if this is an example of their attempt to branch out maybe its time to think again
Don`t bother
Don`t bother. Waste of time and money. Website keeps crashing, game is void and no refund of stake as they say "not our fault"
Ten years playing at SkyPoker.
Whilst I'm feeling in a "leave-a-review" frame of mind I thought I do one about SkyPoker . . .
I've been using the site for over ten years, since before it changed hands and the site had a cable TV channel and when there was a highly entertaining "Area 51" section of the forum where all of the conspiracy theories could be posted and discussed. Some of the threads were comical, and included my own contributions to some of the points made. Is it any more "corrupt" or "rigged" than any of the other sites I've played on? I haven't found that to be the case.
From a point of my playing style, I use to play the low level cash tables as part of my "apprenticeship", and the facility to be able to download your initial hand, playing records and profit & loss figures was a huge benefit (although I'm not sure you can still do it now). The numbers showed where I needed to plug leaks in my game. However, over an analysis of c75,000 hands it was clear that my results were in the red, almost entirely due to the effect of the 5% rake - which if you calculate it as a proportion of the profit you make on a winning hand, and not the amount that goes into the pot, can be a lot more than 5%. I tended to play pretty tight (ie folding my initial hand more than 80% of the time) but still, around once in every 200 hands (half a percent of the time) or so, I'd run into someone who "just got lucky" (usually with a 11-1+ prospect on the river) and I'd be cleaned out and have to suck up the spike effect on my overall results. Eventually I came to the conclusion that for me cash games were just too volatile and as the variance fairy wasn't a blood relative.
I now play low level DYMs where the variance is lower (you only have to be in the top three of the initial six players to cash out) and my last deposit to Sky was over 18 months ago - I've been running on that, and making the odd footie or GG bet from it, every since. I should admit that I've stopped taking the poker thing quite as seriously as I once did, and now only play for pennies - largely due to the fact that I resented handing over £££s to "lucky Frank Spencers" (a term used in a forum exchange I once read).
With regard to the underlying software and service, I too have seen some completely jaw-dropping turnups, and if you were playing with strangers in a room above a pub you'd certainly be justified in thinking you were being turned over and should reach for your gun - one was so impressive that I actually popped open a spreadsheet to calculate the probability of it happening, and it worked out at over 100K-1; something that sits at more than 4.4 standard deviations. Hmmm? When I've queried such things on the forum board I've received the usual line around "our RNG is independently certified bla bla bla" but I doubt there's anyone involved with the management or admin of the site that has a scooby around how the technology that powers it all hangs together. The output from an RNG seed may indeed be as random as it's possible to be, but there's nothing to stop any developer at the software house that provides the platform from manipulating that output in any way that they wish. Despite this I've always been skeptical of claims that the site is fundamentally rigged as so many claim, and it's a fair point that in over 20 years since online poker became popular there's never been a single case of a disgruntled employee of an online site or software house, anywhere in the world, publicly spilling the beans around gaffed software being used. I appreciate there have been security screw-ups on some sites during that time.
For other stuff, the UI hasn't been a problem for me (albeit it hasn't altered in over 10 years) and is clean and easy to navigate, although the goodies in the way of free entry into some tournies is now nowhere near as generous as it once was - years ago if you clocked up 50 bonus points in a month you got some free entries but now you need to clock that up each week.
Overall then, I've found the SkyJoker site (as it's known by many regular, and no doubt losing, players) to be just another site offering the usual range of game variants (cash, SnGs, tournies) to tempt punters who fancy their chances. And just like most other sites, with the exception of a very few hard nosed regulars, it's going to be the site owners that are the ultimate winners - there's no variance on the rake or entry fees payable.
Get dealt 2 black kings
Get dealt 2 black kings, raise it and one player re-raises. All the chips ens up in the middle and the cards are turned over, he is holding 2 red kings. 4 running diamonds and I lose a massive pot!!!!
This happened live NOT online so bad beats happen, it is a fact of life, if you cannot handle it then stop playing poker.
The notion that Sky Poker is rigged, fixed or corrupt is a joke. No online platform gives you fully the experience of live play, the RNG's do not fully replicate the deck of cards, accept it or log out.
Yes I can lose game after game but I also go on hot winning sessions, its called variance or downswing and happens in live play as well.
As for the bad beats consider this, people play looser online than live because especially at the lower buy-ins if they get knocked out there is another tournament starting immediately, you get knocked out live that is it until the next day or week.
100% rigged terrible poker site
I’m a level headed person but the more…
I’m a level headed person but the more I play on this site the more I’m convinced it’s either rigged or something is wrong with the cards. Poker is an odds game, the hands I’ve seen dealt and been beaten by and seen others win/lose by are unreal. Hands that come up are .01% that you see time and time again. Just now, had full house 7’s A’s, go all in against someone who ends up with full house A’s 7’s. It’s like that all the time. If there is a hand that can beat yours, it’s guaranteed someone will have it. It’s like a bingo site. It’s crazy. 0 stars avoid at all costs.
Rigged against you
Rigged against you. If you win, their software slaps a "loose" algorithm on you. Ofcourse there are bad runs which are normal, but these pond-life scum employees of sky clean you out to zero without even hiding the fact they obviously see your cards. Completely undermined as a random card generator site and simply a legal scam destroying the game. C**Ts
Joke playing heads up tables on this…
Joke playing heads up tables on this site. Benc is on all day every day and nothing but cooler hands against him. Dealt pocket kings he’s got pocket aces. Dealt queens he’s kings. Every single time I play him. Obviously just a sky employee.
I would give this 0 stars if I could
I would give this 0 stars if I could. I would also warn anyone who has signed up to this game to reconsider and keep your money for something useful. Once you start these #**** will take everything you got. The players in the cash games all work together, same names, day and night. They chip away at you with high raises with no cards, minute you call they go all in. These people are also rewarded with runs, runs that cant possibly be beat no matter what cards you get. I’ve never witnessed poker like it, in the real world these people would get done in. Stay away, there is no customer support, no customer service. They tell you poker is a skilled game. If I could help stop one person playing this game I have done someone a good turn. Please think twice about everything I have said before signing up to this scam. If you got money in your account they won’t stop until it’s gone no matter how big or small. I would love to meet the #### who made this game and are profiting from poor peoples money. God bless you all.
Rigged unless your staff
Rigged unless your staff. Been playing on sky for years and it i impossible to get ahead and build a decent roll because the bad beats are ridiculous and demoralising, bad players are rewarded and solid play gets you nowhere on sky poker. I once put it down to bad luck but eventually you realise the game on sky is rigged against you and so it is pointless playing there.
Combined Sky Bet and Sky Poker.
Sky Bet and Sky Poker are both decent sites.
Sky Bet is enjoyable for the Free footy 6, ITV seven, fantasy football, and you can also take on Jeff who is a great ambassador for the brand SKY.
The poker is decent with smaller fields to play, and you have Neil Channing who is a great pro, but also a good guy.
Bigger sites may have better graphics but the fields are so large in the MTTS. Sky have kept the graphics basic, but i feel this is the right approach . Overall 4 stars.
Cheating site loves bingo donks
After reading some of the below comments I see I am not alone. I know the game is chance but their is skill involved. Bad beats are part of the game but when the same players hit from between 2 outers to 5 on the river calling any bets and hit every time is a joke yet you could have 13 to 17 outs and miss every time. I did enjoy this site at first but over the last month it has been the same players on any table playing 5 or 6 tables a time regularly winning. I will not be playing this again and would tell everyone to give this site a wide berth. Bingo playing donks any 2 cards all in pre flop with total rubbish will beat you every time money grabbing cheating site.
where to start
where to start, raise with jj get 2 calls, flop j 6 4 ,so i pot bet and get called by 1 player turn card k i pot bet got called river 7 went all in got called other player turned over 5 8. absolute joke.
next tourney kk i raise get called by 1 player flp[ k j 6 i went all in in temper got called , other player turned over a q , turn card 4 and you guessed it river a 10. i can recite countless times this has happened and odds on it happening time and again are huge. i play a lot of live poker and yes you get the occasional bad beat but this site is just an absolute joke for the ammount of times it happens. stay clear and look elsewhere to play your poker
I’ve just given up on this site
I’ve just given up on this site. I cannot believe the algorithm is not rigged to make play. You flop trips, someone else flops a straight. You got pocket pairs - someone else did too - often several people. You been artfully managing the betting? Watch 4 suited cards come up. Get to the river? Just note how almost every time there is a straight, flush and a full house on the cards. It’s like playing poker in a James Bond movie. Thats leaving aside some of the incredible river bad beats you get against folks who just ignore your massive raises even with rags only to romp home with you stack on some crazy unlikely turn of the card. I don’t believe it anymore. I believe the decks are stacked to raise the action.
This site just gets worse and worse for…
This site just gets worse and worse for ridiculous bad beats and outcomes that just do not happen in live poker. Case in point, I played 4 tournaments today, low level, and flopped a set 4 times, once per tournament, I go all in and every single time, the river gave someone a bigger set. How can ALL the aces, jacks, 10s etc., be dealt when only 6 people are playing? So many times, all four cards of the same number are dealt. And how many times is the pot chopped as two people have the same hand? Absolute joke of a site and I cannot fathom how anyone wins on it. I notice the list of winners of the recent guaranteed tournaments and several people won more than once, or at least came 2nd, 3rd etc. Awful 'bonuses' as well. A £2.30 tournament token every week or so?? Atrocious. Yes, we all have the option to take our business elsewhere, and I will.

This site bears no resemblance to ‘real poker odds’ Having played online for nearly 10 years, Sky Poker has now become unplayable. The hands that are thrown up make it impossible to play seriously. Don’t get me wrong, you’ll always get occasional crazy hands dealt, but with the regularity that it happens here is just unreal. Avoid if you’re a after a fair, decent, realistic game of Poker.
Avoid. Rigged beyond belief.
Where to start?
I've played an awful lot of Poker over a 20 year period and have never seen such a blatantly rigged RNG in an online platform.
Not just my hands, but others on said tables would get bad beat after bad beat - yes I understand variance, but also fully fully understand poker mathematics and the associated odds.
Case in point today - my final day on this platform - where I've sat here calling the card that would beat me - the RNG searched for it in the pack and finished that game off. Time and time again.
Just unbelievable really.
I know how to play flawless non error poker and this site just will not let you play that way, you can only seriously play after the river - what sort of poker is that????
Any bets made pre-flop, flop or turn are just wasted as you'll get a call and get out-drawn more often than the sun comes up.
Over pairs to the flop get called by trash and see runner runner trips against them.
The number of times I've flopped trips is laughable in itself, but then equally laughable is the runner runner flush cards.
Its rigged the point where you worry about playing premium pocket pairs as you just know you're going to get out-drawn by garbage.
I've seen some astonishingly unbelievable single card bad beats first hand in the last 48 hours - yes they do happen, but not this often and when you can sit there and call a cards coming on both turn and river it's a non starter.
Sat there laughing in the end pondering how to play more perfectly and it wasn't possible.
The site is rigged for action and/or clear numptys who need all the help they can get.
If you know what you're doing most likely you'll launch your laptop at the wall.
If you take your online poker very seriously then please please avoid.
How Sky Poker haven't been investigated I honestly dont know.
very abusive players and customer…
very abusive players and customer services do nothing about it! racist remarks reported and yet players still chat and if you complain too ofter they chat ban you so you cant bring it up in the forum. i noticed some players just change names ( same person a diffrent family members payment type) such as ROY695 IS NOW JONJOE1908 LOL chnage the name use the same attitude after a huge ammount of years i have decided to leave not rigged just mad play promoted too many bounty hunter/spin up capped games to change now
happy poker guys
