Slug and Lettuce Avis 

Nina at the west george street venue in glasgow was amazing. Her attentiveness to our whole table was second to none. She was friendly and approachable and nothing was too much of a hassle. Thank you Nina.

Slug and lettuce in Portsmouth gunwharf was an absolute joke! I booked 3 tables, 2x 12 and 1x 4 as it wouldn’t allow me to book more than a table of 12. After a month of this booking I then get a call from them to ask if this is correct… I explained yes as I I wanted to take my clients out for brunch, to which she explained they don’t normally accept this but will this time.

My first lot of girls turned up and said they felt some sort of hostile from the team when they gave them the name of the booking. There was not one ounce of warmness or friendliness and it was as though the staff had already assumed we were some sort of trouble makers.

I then turn up with more of the girls and feel like we got eye balled by the stuck up manager and her security guard.

I explained to one of the staff members we didn’t need the table of 4 due to 4 cancelling. So could we please sit the 2 tables together, in which with I may add, a frosty response of…. No. Can’t be done. Why is beyond me.

You put the tables I booked on either side of the bloody room! For what? And when I asked, because they don’t want any trouble with drunken people…. So question for you…. Why on earth would you sell bottomless brunch’s when you know people go to get drunk?! I then asked what would they do if they had a table of 26 for a Christmas party…. Oh well that’s different…. Because you have different rules for different occasions…. What a load of bull****

Then my friend was served a gin and tonic in a bloody tumbler glass….

The only saving grace from that bottomless brunch was our waitress Ann! I explained I was fuming and to be fair she tried her upmost to make it as enjoyable as possible. Even she said we were the most fun, friendliest bunch she had in a while.

Will definitely not be returning for a bottomless brunch here. Maybe work on your rules and policies and for the manager, she could work on her management skills and not be so judgemental. It’s not a nice look.

Awful experience- my daughters 19th- suffered the Friday night traffic - resulting in a two and a half hour round trip as S and L don’t do birthday cakes- met lovely member of staff who assured me expensive cake, sparklers and candles would all be given- checked her booking etc - they kept the cake.

Zoe made our bottomless brunch seamless and a fabulous day. We were nervous following reviews but Zoe has turned our frown upside down. Thank you Zoe (Manchester Piccadilly)

The afternoon tea we encountered was of dreadful quality, as if it had been prepared the previous evening, stored in the fridge overnight, and then served to us at the restaurant.

My daughter treated me to a Red Letter Day experience I had eagerly anticipated, but it turned out to be a poor choice. This left my daughter feeling quite upset due to the subpar service and quality. At a cost of 50 pounds, it was far from worth the expense.

We had a fabulous time at the Boar Lane Slug and Lettuce. 4 of us where there for bottomless brunch. We were seated quickly, immediately given a prosecco, drinks order taken at the same time. Delicious food.The fantastic service received from Summer continued for the 2 hours. She really was attentive and fun and made my nephews 18th special. Thank you.

Had a table booked for 6.15pm arrived before my guests let myself be known to the host wasnt very nice essentially told me to wait until the others arrived. We got seated and the waitress advised that we go to the bar and order food and drink and they would bring them down 2 minutes later she's taking an order on her iPad at another table .Ordered their 2 for 1 cocktails and a pint of beer which wasn't available but was told that they could maybe go downstairs to get it but would probably take 15 minutes opted for another beer .When the drinks eventually arrived the beer was in fact cider I complained and it was changed .Waited for what seemed like an enlternity on 5 simple bar bites whilst sensing an aditude from the waitress .I'm not from Plymouth and was entertaining friends and I certainly would NOT recommend this place .Pretentious and staff that leave a lot to be desired

Had Bruno serve us for bottomless brunch and he was fantastic!!!!!!

BRUNCH AT WEYMOUTH
Been here on many occasions but only once has it been acceptable.
The idea is drink what you like on the limited menu and have food at the end .
At £35 a person you would of thought that two drinks in two hours was not excessive before I get criticism for excessive drinking.
Manager has no interest and accepts no responsibility for anything to the point we had to ask for some drinks and had to go to the bar to ask for some.
Avoid this place until someone can run this establishment correctly.

I went to the slug and lettuce in Bath on Saturday 24th August with friends. We had a table booked for 4-7pm. The drinks were at best okay. The food took over an hour to get to us and it was not good.
The service was below acceptable and I will certainly not be returning and will not recommend it to anyone.

Food and service is amazing but they did overcharge us (although we got a refund, awaiting it to come through) the bouncer was a asshat my girlfriend has anxiety due to bad history so I have to wait outside toilet for her until she finishes and he ushered me along claiming the walkway is too small (unless you a whale I don’t think it’s too small) again case of 5.4 bouncer trying to stomp their authority. I would not recommend to attend this place and opt for a place that is more accommodating to people with mental disability would not recommend. Ableist nazis

Gwen from Brindley place Birmingham was incredible and had such good service all night! She is a credit to that place! Give her a raise

Booked a table of 10 for my nieces 40th birthday. Very poor experience. Was supposed to be bottomless brunch but spent most of the time sat waiting for a drink. The food was terrible and very small portions more like a taster thank a brunch. We left and went elsewhere for something to eat. Each time we asked for a drink we were met with filthy looks and abrupt “you will have to wait I’m serving someone!” By staff. The clue is in the title it should be bottomless and we shouldn’t be sat waiting with empty glasses! Very poor and definitely won’t be returning.

Me and my partner visited yesterday for bottomless brunch for my birthday, cocktails were amazing & the staff was so nice. We was served by Aishah and it was one of her first shifts she was amazing! We was also served by Anna who was lovely☺️

Booked a lunch table for 2 hours before a show at the 02
Usually we have a great time in the bar and stay for the duration and then some,but we ate and left and had just the one drink
Unfortunately this time it wasn't the best, the bar staff down stairs were rude, we were charge an extra £30 for something we didn't order (refund eventually given after manager was abrupt and made out it was our fault)
Food was mediocre and semi warm
And they took the cocktails offers off as there were 2 shows on as they wanted to make more money according to a staff member
Very disappointed this time.

I visited on a work event and found glass in my drink. After a year, I’m still going round in circles, even after requesting to speak to their customer relations and legal team. Not taken seriously and just get passed from person to person. Avoid!
