Turtledove London Avis 

Slow to deliver and my refund has yet to arrive. No response to emails. Disappointing!

I’ve admired the clothes on this site for a long time but never ordered any, then recently decided I would treat myself. So on 11/08/26 I placed my order. As of today 27/08/26 the order has not arrived. Turtledove are being evasive and vague with what is happening. They are also being quite patronising telling us ‘it’s technical’ and ‘out of their hands’. They may as well give us all a little pat on the head at the same time. They also say they are ‘doing their best’ while seemingly doing very little at all. Officially all I’ve been sent is a generic email on 18/08/26 advising that there’s been a technical error temporarily disrupting the dispatch process. They have not responded directly to my online enquiry form and only sent me a direct message on instagram after I queried their companies house status as a comment on one of their posts. Someone somewhere is not telling us the whole truth. All the while their website is still up and running taking orders as far as I can see. Terrible customer service. This is the first and last time I’ll be ordering from this company. If I don’t receive my goods or a refund soon I will be raising a chargeback through my bank.

Like some of the other reviews I bought an item for next day delivery on 15 August and received the ‘we have trouble in our warehouse’ email around 18 August. Since then nothing has been communicated despite following up via email. I really like to give smaller, local producers a chance but this is just unacceptable.

Any chance you can give me some feedback!

I placed an order with Turtledove and unfortunately, the experience has been disappointing. I received an email explaining that they were experiencing warehouse issues, which I appreciate can happen. However, since then, communication has been very poor.

Emails have gone unanswered, and there has been very little transparency about when people can actually expect orders to be delivered. I understand that delays can occur, but customers should be kept informed and given realistic delivery expectations.

I’m still waiting for my order and would have appreciated much better communication throughout the process.

Update: I have emailed Turtledove three times now and have had no response from them. I would advise people to not order from this company.

Ordered the clothes on 16th August
On 18th August received an email saying "You may or may not already be aware that we’re currently experiencing some delays with orders leaving our warehouse."
Why would I be aware? You hadn't mentioned it when I made the order, otherwise I may not have bothered.

Sent chasing email on 24th August.
No reply.

Raised it with my bank who immediately refunded it for me.

I ordered a pair of trousers end of July. They were delivered reasonably quickly but upon receipt were not the fit or quality expected so I returned them the next day. This was July 31st! I used a tracked Royal Mail service at my own expense. Had I realised returns had to be paid for by the customer I might have reconsidered ordering- I wish I had now! It is now nearly a month later and despite logging the return via Klarna and emailing TD London directly, I have had nothing. No communication and no recognition of my return and no refund. Terrible. So pleased I didn’t buy more and most certainly won’t be ordering anything else from them again. No idea how to go about getting my money back.

I returned a poor quality, badly sized, overpriced item that was recieved by Turtledove London on the 10th of August but have not received an ounce of communication back! This is despite sending an email to follow up with them about this issue on the 15th of August. I have now opened a dispute with Paypal as I have the tracking information from Royal Mail to prove the item has been delivered and is in their possession, yet have still not received my money back or even an apology for the unacceptable delay. I would avoid buying from this company because their customer service is terrible and after reading other reviews, I don’t expect to receive any communication at all!

Update: Due to the utterly disgraceful lack of communication from Turtledove London, Paypal have decided in my favour. Turtledove London didn’t bother to get involved in the process and still have not addressed the issue despite it almost being 4 weeks since the initial email. I’ve now recieved my money back and am very grateful to Paypal for this outcome. As for Turtledove London, what a shameful excuse for a business. Please, please, please do not buy anything from them! It’s not worth the hassle.

I ordered a week ago (193908 if they are reading this), paid next day delivery. Nothing has arrived. Tracking not updated. I’ve emailed three times, messaged on Instagram. No response. Nothing. Just £62 gone from my bank account! Scam!

I have always had great experiences with turtle dove but this time have had a bad one and can’t imagine why!

I pre-ordered the new jumpsuit in the same size as I usually order- the jumpsuit seemed comfortable and looked great but was slightly too small

No bother- I arranged for it to be returned (they don’t do traditional exchanges or returns) and emailed them to let them know it had arrived (with proof of delivery attached) and the order number was inside

This was over a week ago and since then NOTHING

No communication, despite multiple emails to their customer service team, no refund NOTHING

I have always had good experiences with this company but I don’t see how I can give anything but 1 star if I have sent them 4 emails across two weeks and received no communication back on the status of my return

It would put me off ordering in the future and truth be told, I am partly leaving this review to see if the issue gets solved

The only way to get a refund for the completely wrong order sent to me was to raise a dispute with my bank, after nearly three months I've finally got my money back. I'd avoid this company, I don't believe the positive reviews and my experience has been appalling. I've still had no response from TD to apologise or explain.

Whilst the dungarees are soft and comfortable unfortunately the quality is very poor. After a few washes several holes appeared along the seams of the dungarees rendering them unwearable. Customer service is also very poor, when contacting about this issue they simply stated that that the best they could do was provide a discount code for me to purchase another pair. No apology for the poor quality or investigation into the issue - apparently it is entierly acceptable/expected that an item of clothing from TurtleDove London will last only a few washes - you are just expected to buy more to replace them. Such a shame for a brand that claims to be sustainable.

When ordering from TurtleDove London on a previous occasion I was sent a used pair of dungarees (they arrived creased, dirty and smelly). It took many emails to get a resolution and I had to chase up my refund 2 weeks after the dungarees were delivered back to TurtleDove London. When I was finally refunded my shipping costs were not included, meaning I then had to email then again. No offer of a replacement, only a discount code which like the other one I was given I will not be using. Unfortunately I cannot reccomend purchasing from TurtleDove London.

Great reliable company, prompt delivery.
Dungarees are superb! I am delighted with them! Soft stretchy cotton, great quality. True to size.

Ordered a few weeks ago and started getting emails asking for reviews of the items. It took about a week to finally hear back from them after I emailed asking about my order that showed it had not been sent. As they claim with a lot of people blamed it on a warehouse error. I asked for it to be refunded as it won’t arrive for when I need it they emailed back finally and said they’d refund me waiting to receive it hopefully it comes through. Won’t be shopping here again as the customer service was extremely slow and they seem to have a lot of warehouse issues.

I ordered the large but it was too big. An easy return and a reorder of the medium and I'm the smug owner of a pair of lovely Kate trousers.

Loved the trousers so much I've ordered a second pair :-) the material quality is great and I especially love the waistband, it's extremely flattering and sets the product apart from cheaper versions. Delivery great.

Order placed 1st June. Arrived 4th June with packaging repaired by Royal Mail as the bag was so flimsy that it had split open. Contacted customer service straight away to advise that one item was missing. Reply to email stated that a response would be received with 48hours. Two and a half weeks later I have still not received a response or a refund for the missing item. Disgraceful service.

Don’t waste your time.
You have to pay for returns even if it is a quality issue with their own products. I bought zebra print trousers which were see-through and tbh, really low quality. I was really disappointed, and after returning, had to chase my refund twice. Never had this before with an online company. Won’t order from them again.

What's happened with these guys ?
They've always sold good stuff but somehow their after-sales has gone really downhill.

Needs a blast of energy to get them back on track

Awful experience. I purchased quite a lot of clothes - £150 worth, and when tried them on at home found they didn't suit me, so sent them back (or so I thought). It turned out the address that was on their website was an old warehouse address, so when Royal Mail tried to deliver there they got turned away. So I then had to try to trace the missing parcel at the Royal Mail National Returns Centre.

Queue many hours of my time spent contacting royal mail, contacting TurtleDove, putting a trace on the package etc. Nothing has been recovered and TurtleDove have not accepted their fault whatsoever, in keeping their information online up to date and also including some sort of forwarding or process for packages sent to the old address - they told me this wasn't the first one.
They have offered zero compensation, so now I have just lost the £150 and have no clothes to show for it. What an absolute failure.

Unfortunately I had a really poor experience.
I purchased an item that although was lovely did not fit. I returned but had no refund. I have emailed to seek a response and had no communication back. I cannot find a customer service e number to call. I have sent 3 emails with no response at all.
Avoid as the company did not respond or refund despite returning in time frame.
Lost money and leaving a review with a hope they may have the courtesy to rectify.
