They sent a letter demanding payment for a utility bill at an address we no longer live at. The dates given to us were for after we sold the house. I rang the company and was answered by a very unpleasant woman who insisted on taking personal information from me, which I refused to give. Her reply was that they would continue to hound me for this payment even though I told her it was nothing to do with me and that they should contact the current owners.

This company HOUND you they ring constantly leave voice mails send emails send letters.

Writing this review out of desperation. I need someone from this company to give me a useable email address!! I have tried every single email address provided online and on the paper letters AND on the email received from them. nothing works they all bounce back. I am getting threats to go to court BUT they are impossible to get hold of for me to sort the problem out!

Bullies and scammers rude staff .my standing order didn’t go through and I had to pay manually.i have never missed a payment .calling me today to say they have included 150 pounds to my balance after paying manually they are thief .there staff is nothing to write home about .i don’t blame them I regret doing course with learn direct .i will never encourage anybody to do any course with learn direct

Chased for a water bill, never my debt. Outside of the 6 year right to chase. So I sent a cease and desist and gave 21 days to provide evidence debt was mine. No evidence provided. Still chasing me so I'm taking legal action for harassment as of today. Know your rights and tell these people to jog on. And in response to the companies reply below, I have zero desire to contact you outside court and as per my email and formal complaint, you are outside of 6 years, and the 21 days notice given to provide evidence and as such I am taking legal action against you for harassment of which your reply here will be included in my evidence pack.

Extremely rude staff clearly need training on how to speak to people worse company I have ever dealt with

A number called me claiming I owe money from learn direct a course I signed up for over a year ago and tried to cancel after I could not afford it due to financial circumstances changing. After research the number appeared to be fake however now UK Search are stating I owe money to them. They are unbelievably rude and constantly tried to belittle me stating ‘they aren’t customer service, have a debt to collect, thus treated as such’ there is no need to be spoken to in such a manner and this situation has made me feel very anxious and upset. UK Search are rude and ignorant and are unhelpful.

Absolute bullies. Had a Welsh water bill through for a property I haven’t lived at for 5 years, they told me they nor Welsh water were accepting evidence, they would not accept a payment plan, urged me not to contact Welsh water directly as “there is nothing they could do anyway, they’ll just direct you back to us”, they also said that if I didn’t pay upfront they would start court proceedings. Rang Welsh water directly despite this company’s ‘advice’, spoke to someone who cleared this all up in 5 minutes and confirmed I did not in fact owe them any money. I urge anyone who has to deal with these bullies to ring the company who’s billing you directly first, chances are they can sort it out for you!!

Email out of the blue that doesn't explain they are a debt agency, just asking you to create a online account, no explanation, no itemised bills, no information, instead appearing to be a phishing email. Difficult to deal with and overall unpleasant.

Do not deal with this company. I went directly to Affinity Water who resolved this within a day, apologised and compensated me

Awful company. Would rate 0 if I could. My partner owes some money to a course she did. The staff there are all rude and condescending. We couldn’t afford what they were asking each month so had to complete a form of our wages and where they go.. lady we spoke to told us we were wrong and couldn’t possibly be paying a certain amount for a certain bill and put it down lower to make it seem like we had money left over. Awful awful company and even worse staff. Not sure how they’re still in business.

If I could give minus stars I would. This scam of a company sent me a letter saying that I owed £3,500 to Octopus Energy on a property that I had moved out of more than a year prior to when the debt was accumulated. At first I thought it would be a simple phone call to them to let them know that it was a case of mistaken identity and that the person who accumulated the debt actually moved into the property after I’d move out. What was the woman’s reply? “Until you can prove that you weren’t living at that address at that time then the debt is your responsibility and we expect you to pay it” sorry? Imagine any half decent company trying to lump you with someone else’s bill. I’m amazed how they thought it was MY responsibility to prove that I didn’t live there at that time, surely it was their responsibility to prove that I did? Both UKSL & Octopus energy were as useful as chocolate teapots for more than a month whilst I sent countless documents of proof that I was no longer living at that address during that time. Their response? “We need at least a month to go through the information.” Funny how they just demanded I hand over £3,500 straight away though.

In the meantime I had contacted Octopus Energy and they confirmed that they knew the debt was not mine and that it was not my name on the account. However, UKSL were adamant that until OE got in contact with them that they were still holding me responsible. Good to know that the left hand doesn’t talk to the right.

After 2 months I had to get in contact with them again as I’d heard nothing. Strangely, their attitude had completely changed towards me during this phone call. They no longer spoke down to me and seemed very willing to help me, this was probably because at this point they’d done their ‘research’ (probably something that took 5 minutes to actually confirm I was not the owner of the debt) and found out that they’d got the wrong person.

I asked for an apology in writing but in the letter they just maintained the idea that they’d done nothing wrong.

I believe this company use bullying tactics to get people to pay up, regardless of if it’s their debt or not. Perhaps they were hoping I was an elderly woman with no support network around me who would just pay off the debt to get them to go away? It makes me wonder if this has worked for them in the past.

You should be deeply ashamed of yourselves.

If I could leave any less than 1 star I would, spoke to a woman who was extremely rude and hung up on me even though I was trying to sort a debt with them re utility warehouse, I was told I was being abusive even though they were being rude and I was threatened over the phone and left to feel anxious and worried, reported to the FCA and also the police, don't think this company will last long if they keep going about things how they do.

Scammers not even adhere to student query charging double charges to account I have no access to poor customer service agencies and all after taking money from vulnerable refused to take my matter to court as I have all evidence of communication I did with them

This commany tried to force entry to the flats I am staying in. They said to the person at the front door it was a Matter of urgency they needed to see me about a relative. The person on wake and watch refused to let them in without my permission and told them to use the buzzer like everyone else. They are bullies and try to harass you.

Scam, proved I didn't live in a property at the said time of the said debt.

Chasing a debt for southern water in an address ive never lived in! from 2011 rude, harrassing and threatening.
After reading your reply weeks later , I'd already contacted both the email and phone number!
It has now been closed as I've proved it wasn't me you were chasing. But maybe you should look into your current people skills .

Claiming to enforce a “Credit Agreement”on behalf of Southern Water, but can’t produce an “Assignment” or the “regulated Credit agreement” - Looking forward to going to court!!

This company is a scam asking water bill outstanding and send the collection letter, be aware this company sending scam letter and collecting money from public.
