Unfortunately the end product was not what we agreed on.

I had spent a long time designing my ikea PAX wardrobe, confirming and sending a final updated design before booking installation. My installer was lovely, friendly and courteous. However when he did the installation, he didn't follow the design. They sent an email asking for feedback on the night so I replied saying the shelves and poles of the wardrobe were in the wrong place. In the email reply they said it was movable and didn’t offer to fix it themselves (see email attached).

For me I had hired a company to do this because I was not confident/able to do this myself. So during the attempt at moving the shelves as advised by them, the wardrobe got damaged. I emailed again saying this had happened and they gave a goodwill gesture of £40 (which is a small fraction of the overall cost - just above £1000 for wardrobes and just above £850 for installation). I explained I would rather have nice wardrobes instead of a goodwill gesture, as they do promise a 1 year guarantee and because the job hadn’t been completed as asked/designed. I had no reply since. They have made no effort to make things right.

I had picked unflatpack because I could customise the PAX wardrobes so it wasn't just a standard build and initial contact was friendly, but they did not deliver what they promise. There is also no communication when you complain once the job is done. I wish I went with another company that would deliver what they promise and respond appropriately when a complaint comes through instead of ignoring customers once the job is done.

I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service after the job was completed when problems arose.

We are super pleased with Unflatpack's service! We got a couple of quotes from other similar companies, but none asked the level of detail that unflatpack did, which was really reassuring. On the day of the installation, we had 2 days booked out. Will (and his colleague whose name I didn't catch!) arrived on time, and powered through the job. They offered to stay late to finish in one day instead of two, and we now have two amazing looking built in wardrobes for a fraction of the cost of traditional built in wardrobes. Would definitely work with these guys again, thank you!

Our installer Will was very communicative and arrived on time. Did a fantastic job installing the wardrobe.

I would say mediocre service on the office side and not great installation in terms of quality of finishes.

The office quoted me, and I agreed. During the installation, they realized they made a mistake and wanted to quote me 240 more, arguing that I should also be checking the correctness of their quote (ridiculous and full lack of professionalism).

The installers were very nice people. However, despite the fact that they can see all furniture is pushed aside and carefully covered with nylon sheets and fabric, they still found gaps to place cartoon boxes next to furniture in between on uncovered sides. That stems from the fact that getting rid of cartons is not considered their responsibility, hence they dump all cartons in every gap or room possible in the house -not OK. And, extra cleaning for us, because closed doors were opened and dust was everywhere.

These are temporary issues, but the details of finishes are not. I had to intervene in a few areas and managed to get 2 pieces on the same surfaces aligned or cut properly to be a single neat piece instead of multiple small pieces. If I didn't catch it, I would have a front with 3 pieces that are consciously not placed to be flushed. I should not be policing this. This is such a simple aesthetic that it should be given. It shows me the office and installer have no connection or level of standard.

Other areas where gaps are covered, had two pieces not joined smoothly when it obviously needed to be a single piece. Not that we lacked any materials (If by mistake a piece is cut short, it needs to be replaced- adding a small piece to cover it up ruins the whole look- again I don't think I should be explaining this to a service provider).

The next day, we found inside the back panel and 2 other surfaces were not even close to touching each other, full gaps in between, and other inner cuts were left totally rough no sanding, or anything. One hingle is totally loose. The last day of work was done by a single person, which took very long until the evening, when it had to be 2 people working to do it right and timely.

The Unflatpack team were really accessible and helpful by email and helped my come up with a fantastic design solution. My installer, Will, was really courteous, professional, and did an incredible job. Just amazing quality work. Seamless, neat, sturdy. I am SO happy with my new wardrobes.

From my first phone call to installation it was only 2 weeks! The fitters (Alfie and Charlie) were brilliant and worked really hard in 30degree heat! They went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the install!

Delighted with the service from Unflatpack, from the initial consultation, to their assistance in reviewing my Ikea order and making improvement suggestions, to the actual installation. Tiger and George did a fantastic job, and the wardrobes look amazing. My friends are all surprised when I say they're Ikea wardrobes as they look custom made!

I’ve been really impressed with the service from Unflatpack. The team were great in the early stages, helped with the design and stayed in touch to check we were ok. Once we’d ordered and a date went in everything continued smoothly, and Tiger and George were polite, tidy and worked hard to quickly get the job done to a high standard in one day. The finish of the wardrobes is great, and we’re very happy so far.

The initial contact with the company was very good and Anthony was very helpful.
Alfie came to fit the wardrobe, he was very organised and efficient and very pleasant to deal with. He did a great job. I will definitely use them again for the next wardrobe.

Great experience with Unflatpack. I initially found them a bit pricey for the service, but the customer service was stellar throughout, and they really went over and above to ensure we were happy with the design and the finished wardrobe so the expense was justified. The fitter Will and his colleague did a fantastic job with the wardrobe and were extremely hard working to get the job done quickly, even distantling and then putting together our bed again when the job was finished, which we appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We would recommend to friends and family and in fact already have!

We are very happy with the IKEA wardrobes we got built in with unflatpack. Cosmin our installer managed to get both rooms done in just the one day. Also there were a couple of damages from the IKEA delivery, but Cosmin created replacement shelves from the left over wardrobe bits we ordered. I would highly recommend this company, it is much cheaper than the standard built in wardrobe companies!

I cant recommend this company enough. The booking process was smooth, and despite a slight hiccup at my end (ikea failed to deliver all items) the installation was also smooth. Mike my fitter was on time, polite, friendly and so tidy you would never know a wardrobe had been fitted in the room that day, it was left just as it was when he arrived. Thankyou unflatpacked you have saved me so much time and money!

Lovely wardrobes at fraction of fitted price. The booking process was really smooth, and Unflatpack were incredibly helpful with advice on a phone call before I decided to go ahead. 4* rather than 5* as there were a few niggles with the initial installation (doors not hung straight), but another member of staff came back to rectify everything and now I'm so pleased with the final fit.

Felt like a leap of faith going with these guys but so glad we did. Once we had submitted our design everything kicked off and the office staff we dealt with were helpful, knowledgeable and reassuring. The time between agreeing final design and installation was just seven days and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. Our fitter, Cosmin, was fantastic - clearly very skilled and did a great job. Would definitely recommend.
