This was a 3 generational get together and all of us from 80 to 20 months loved it: the house was very comfortable and easy to be in, as was the bothy. Everyone loved the hot tub (wood fired) and the sauna but the most special thing was the location and being so close to the river and all its wildlife. The kingfishers were particularly exciting. Newport is a lovely little town and the array of beaches was fantastic. UHS looked after us very well and were very responsive to any queries. Lovely place.

We stayed at Muse for 10 nights and wished we had booked longer. It was the perfect out of the way place for a couple to relax. The layout was spacious and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed. It was as also a delightfully cool spot in this summer of heat. Unique Homestays make the booking process straightforward and clear.

My husband and I spent a wonderful week’s holiday at the Walled Garden residence in Dyrham. The property is charming and enjoys an ideal location, not only because of the beautiful surrounding countryside – perfect for pleasant walks – but also because it allows you to visit numerous fascinating destinations just a short drive away, first and foremost the spectacular Dyrham Park (National Trust), situated just a stone’s throw from the property. The ‘Walled Garden’ also offers the chance to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday in close contact with nature, in a rural yet very refined setting.
The owner, Mrs Kate – a very friendly and extremely helpful person – provided us with further recommendations, in addition to those already contained in the comprehensive ‘House Book’, on places to visit and restaurants to dine at.
We cannot recommend a holiday in this little corner of paradise highly enough!

We recently booked with Unique Home stays and it was refreshing to be able to just pick the telephone up and speak with someone rather than just emails back and fourth. Hannah was very helpful and great to deal with. We were a family of 12 ranging in age from 5-83 years. Isolde proved to be the perfect fit for all ages with both the Northern and southern Coastal beaches in reach within 25-30 mins. The property was beautiful and finished to an extremely high standard. On arrival we were met by Jeanette ( the owner ) who was very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The pool and games room were a hit with the children and the hot tub and gardens with the adults.

Thank you for an unforgettable stay in Aphrodite (The Old Chapel). From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the incredible location and the magnificent view. The peaceful atmosphere and natural surroundings perfect to fully unwind. Enjoying breakfast and evening meals al fresco surrounding by such stunning scenery, long walks along the coast under glorious sunshine became a cherished part of our daily routine. The splendid weather combined with the comfort and quality of the accomodation truly made a perfect holiday. We leave this special place with wonderful memories. Excellent cottage, facilities were better than expected. Location was great with nice walks across the dunes. We stayed at the Pig after and wished we’d stayed at Little portion longer.

The location, and cottage is so private and every morning to be woken by the sparkling ocean and breathtaking views made it the most incredible experience.

We have been using Unique Homestays for at least ten years. All the properties we have stayed in, whatever season, as a couple or with extended family, have been exceptional. Service is also first class and personal. I would recommend UHS in a heartbeat.

Our stay at High Meadows, near Newquay, Cornwall far exceeded our expectations. It was more bright, airy and gorgeous than the photos. Much larger than we anticipated. We had amazing weather and truly felt like we were in the Mediterranean with its setting and construction.

We have a nervy dog who takes ages to settle because the owner’s dog normally pops round to say Hi and she can hear people and dogs passing by that make her feel agitated. NOT at High Meadows … the massive garden was properly private and quiet and she relaxed immediately which meant that we had the most chilled holiday ever!

The owners had thought about everything and the welcome goodies hamper had all the basics plus some generous additions. Plus plenty of coffee pods for the coffee machine and biscotti.

We would definitely return … I’ve never felt so passionately about how perfect this holiday rental is … it will really make you smile.

The company were efficient and knowledgeable. Were helpful about payment dates and have an extensive collection of properties.

We spent a wonderful week at The Hatch in Crantock. The house was beautiful and the place was spotless. The service from the Unique Homestays team was outstanding - from the booking procedure to the follow ups during and after our stay. Definitely a destination to include in one's future holiday plans.

Elemental - Loch Rannoch
This is a lovely property in a lovely location. It is stylish, comfortable, well equipped and well maintained. It will accommodate four people comfortably. It also has a reduced-cost, two-person option at certain times of the year and this is something my wife and I were able to take advantage of when we stayed there in June 2026. We had a really lovely week at the property and in the surrounding area and we didn’t want for anything. Elemental is not exactly isolated but it is quite remote and although this is definitely part of its attraction and charm I think anyone staying there would be well advised to stock up on provisions beforehand. However, Asda will deliver to Elemental for quite a small cost (when we stayed there it was between £2 and £4 depending on the time of day). Overall, this was a great holiday in a lovely property. Booking with Unique Homestays was straightforward, everything was super organised and we felt well supported.

Another wonderful stay with Unique Homestays, this time at Amaia in south Cornwall. A marvellous beachfront property with breathtaking views. It was perfect for our multi-generational group of 9, with superbly spacious indoor and outdoor living areas. Everything was meticulously prepared for us, and we would have no doubts about returning ourselves or recommending to friends and family. Thank you to the teams at Unique Homestays and Amaia!

We stayed at a place called Aphrodite. Being the goddess of love, she certainly cast her spell over us. We cannot think of a single bad thing. The location is wondrous, 20 minutes south of Bude and 35 minutes north of Padstow - excellent for surfing, walking or any other adventure that tickled our fancy. Nestled between grazing cows and sheep, there is an enchanting sea view. The house was quirky is designed in a relaxing and lovely way, with top notch amenities to make you feel like you’re staying in luxury.

The booking process was excellent and it was refreshing to have lovely customer service throughout from Unique Homestays. We’ll definitely be using them again.

Properties are as beautiful as they look in the pictures, well taken-care of, and the customer service is outstanding!

We had a lovely week staying in Hansa. The place is unique in lots of ways. It is surrounded by woods and is overlooking a lake. We were extremely lucky with the weather, in fact it was too hot at times with +30 degree temperatures some days but we used the wood burning hot tub as a cold plunge to cool ourselves down.
If you want a holiday with near total seclusion with just a few fishermen dotted around the lake then this is the place for you.

A superb stay at Watermark in Stoke Gabriel, what a gem of a property located right on the water, and huddled into the hillside. The house is superb, great attention to detail a great effort is made to make your stay the best it can be. We just love this place and have just completed our second visit. We just love watching the world and boats go by from the deck & the hot tub. One fabulous vacation from start to finish.

Hannah was wonderful from start to finish — patient, attentive, and genuinely invested in finding the right property for our family's needs. Her recommendation of Holanen turned out to be exactly right.

The house itself is superb: modern, beautifully designed, and perfectly thought through. Tucked away at the end of a quiet lane yet within easy walking distance of the whole village, it offers the best of both worlds — total peace and quiet, with Mousehole's harbour and restaurants just steps away. The view alone is worth the trip — breathtaking, and one we never tired of.

Quiet, beautiful, and full of character. Simply perfect.
