Worst company I have ever dealt with

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Either no response or false promises. Stacy and her executive team could care less if your insurance is not paid for, they take your money and then don’t pay your premium. These people should be in jail for their unlawful practices.

They do not pay your premiums

Our company hired them to handle our ICRA payments. They withdraw our money and paid our premiums 15days late every month and this month not at all causing mass insurance cancelations . They do not reply to support emails create tickets no one ever replies or answer the customer service number. They are a scam

Go anywhere else but here

I pay my premium ahead of time and each month my insurance is suspended due to Ventuer not paying the bill. i think this is illegal. Then each month i have to spend over an hour for them to call my insurance and pay the premium by credit card. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!

Takes Small Business Money, Doesn't Use it to Pay for Insurance Premiums

Similar to the reviews above, we have had nothing but problems with Venteur.

We signed up with them in November 2025, to start Jan 2026 with them as our ICHRA Provider.

-They have taken (ACH auto debit) the insurance premiums for all of our enrolled employees starting in December (they pull the funds from you the month before the month of coverage), and they collected premiums (and their admin fee to us as the employer) in Dec, Jan, Feb, and will soon now for March

-All of our employees reported receiving letters from the health plans they signed up with that the plan has not received payment, and the plans will be cancelled if payment is not received
-There is no phone support- there is only email
-The email support takes about a week or more to get back to you.
-The answers from email support are inaccurate:
+We were told these letters were "normal" and that the employee's health insurance premiums would be paid.
~Employees continue to get letters, and two of them just received letters and phone calls from the health insurance companies that their plans were cancelled due to non-payment
+ Their website says you can enroll in a plan from the marketplace, or directly with an insurance company (see the Venteur blog: "getting-health-insurance-through-your-employer-vs-marketplace"). They have told each of our employees that they canNOT enroll directly with an insurance company.

-One employee was told to "call Covered California and get an ID number- we need that to set up your account." She called Covered California, and they had no idea what she was talking about, and had no ID number to provide her to give to Venteur

- Another employee was told she has MediCaid (Medi-Cal), and thus cannot enroll, but the employee does NOT have Medicaid. They didn't listen to her, or offer a run around (there is not way for her to show proof of something she doesn't have to prove that she doesn't have it, anyway)

-At this point, we are out tens of thousands of dollars, and employees have had $0 in premiums paid to their insurers. There have been no response from my "dedicated rep" at Venteur in over a week.

Before joining, I googled "is Venteur a scam," looked for reviews such as Trust Pilot, and even received several recommendations from Venteur whom I called about their experience and and they said that up through late 2025, they had a smooth experience. Something has drastically changed.

Do not use Venteur! It costs more (perhaps enough of a charge to actually run a proper business), but go to Take Command or Remodel Health.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

We encountered repeated payment issues and returned transactions that directly affected our employees. In one case, we were told that January and February premiums had been paid, only to later discover that the February payment had been returned. This created confusion with the insurance carrier, and the employee’s own March payment was automatically applied to February instead.

There were also unresolved reimbursement issues, including Health Wallet claims for an employee that were never processed, along with a $40 fee the employee was charged as a result of returned payments issued through Venteur.

Communication and support were extremely frustrating. We had to repeatedly follow up for basic answers, and responses were often delayed or incomplete. These are not minor administrative issues—they directly impact employees’ health coverage and financial security.

Even after we terminated our services, we are still dealing with outstanding issues and funds that have yet to be returned.

Overall, our experience has been marked by payment errors, unresolved claims, poor communication, and a lack of accountability when problems arise. When employees’ healthcare coverage is involved, reliability and support are critical. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I cannot recommend Venteur.

Hope things are simple

If the insurance is set up in a simple way, it works. But if ANYTHING goes wrong, you can't get anyone on the phone and emails take over a week to be answered. I have had an issue for 3 months and it's still not resolved. There have been no steps towards resolution. At this point I am paying for an insurance policy for my employee and that employee is also paying for the policy . It's a double payment and Venteur has done nothing for 3 months to solve the problem.
The concept they have is a great one. I have two other employees where it is working flawlessly. If things are smooth, it's fine. But if anything goes wrong, you'll never get a solution

Questionable Coverage w/ NO support

We enrolled with Venteur for our team’s ICHRA benefits and the experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful for employees.

Even though we paid premiums every month beginning with and remaining a month in advance (Venteur drafts funds monthly from our account), our employees still received delinquent/nonpayment notices directly from their insurance carriers. This created real anxiety about whether coverage was active and made us look unreliable as an employer—despite doing everything required on our end.

Communication and support have been very poor. Our account manager’s responses were significantly delayed, and numerous emails went unanswered. I also spoke with VP Bill Wax, who attributed the issues to a “government shutdown,” rapid growth in the ICHRA sector, and carriers being overwhelmed. He offered to send an assurance email confirming our employees were covered; more than 30 days later, that email never arrived.

To make matters worse, one team member attempted to add a spouse, and it still has not been completed—leaving the spouse without coverage.

Overall: ongoing payment/processing issues, minimal accountability, and inadequate support when employees’ healthcare coverage is on the line. I cannot recommend Venteur based on our experience.

Such a bummer

My health insurance policy was supposed to begin Jan 1. I've been paying Venteur but they have not been paying the insurance provider. So it's now March and I'm learning I've been uninsured this whole time. Each time I get a customer service rep on the phone, I've been given inaccurate information as to the status of my insurance policy.

So basically look out for them readily taking your money without providing any service.

STAY AWAY!!!

Venteur has failed to make payments on behalf of our employees, which is Venteur's ONE JOB!!! Incredibly frustrating experience. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Company won't send reimbursement

I have been waiting over 2 months for a reimbursement that was approved the same day I submitted it. I have sent multiple emails and made even more phone calls about this.
I have been told I would receive the payment in a week, but later was told that it was delayed with the new year. I have also been told that this issue has been, "escalated," but nothing has happened with it. This company seems like a scam.

Delayed coverage, terrible support

Dozens of support tickets, emails, voicemails, phone calls, and multiple account managers over several months to solve the same issue.
They're a nightmare to deal with and have been extremely disappointing and frustrating, not to mention the extra medical costs I incurred because they may or may not have signed me up for insurance.

Venteur caused my family $10k in medical bills due to administrative errors

I'm a co-owner of a small business, and we engaged Venteur in September 2025 to administer our ICHRA plan. Our experience has been 100% negative: We have had persistent administrative and platform issues, limited follow-through from support, and we have been unable to get an account manager to fully own and resolve our situation.

At a high level, we have experienced:

Enrollment errors that resulted in our family being placed into two overlapping family plans (dual coverage) and an incorrect upfront payment of approximately $5,500, which was later “fixed” but left us with a carryforward balance or over $1,400 that has not yet been refunded to us.

Premium payment issues that caused our medical plan to be cancelled in December 2025, forcing us to cancel medical appointments.

Platform and renewal issues that prevented us from renewing benefits for 2026, resulting in our 2026 plan being cancelled and our family having no coverage in January 2026.

I got really sick and had to go to the ER with no insurance at all.

We requested cancellation in early January 2026, but were told it required account manager authorization.

We have repeatedly asked to speak with an account manager and were told someone would reach out, but that has not happened.

We have now received a $3,000 invoice for January and February 2026 coverage, even though we cancelled and do not have an active plan with Venteur.

On top of all of this, as a customer you are UNABLE TO CANCEL unless your account manager approves it and sends it for review.

Support told us numerous times that our "account manager" was going to reach out and help us solve all of the above mentioned issues, but we never heard from such account manager. This has been a nightmare for me, personally, and for my small business.

Venteur cannot fulfill their basic reqs

Venteur brokers the health insurance plans for my employer. Despite completing my elections on time in November, I do not have an active insurance plan as of 1/8/2026 when I was told my new policy would begin 1/1/26. I have reached out to multiple people not only at Venteur but at the health insurance companies too. As a result of my not being insured, I have been unable to access necessary and urgent diagnostics/ care including an MRI of a tumor in my head discovered the end of last year. This delay in coverage has now delayed my (not insignificant) health care and is unacceptable. Michelle M. is the account manager and had been largely unresponsive and wholly unhelpful or apologetic. This business cannot manage to do the ONE thing they claim to, I cannot recommend this business to anyone ever.
