Meeting the guide was easy. A personal and informative tour. Highly recommend

From the start Venture Ashore offers exceptional tours and service. Choosing and reserving online was a breeze. Quick response for confirmation and vouchers for excursions. The 'meeting place' instructions are literally step by step - sort of starts the excursion with a treasure hunt. Knowing these private tour company's meet off property, the meeting instructions can be stressful. Once on the tour, the guide was a local resident with tons of information and wiling to share his life on the island. Overall - I will continue to book with Venture Ashore.

Overall excellent tour and tour guide, would highly recommend, only downside was could have spent more time at the Fort and less time visiting shops.

Expected up to 12 people on trip but my wife and I were the only two. Venture Ashore still took us with a driver and guide so it was like a private excursion. Our guide Sezer Ulupinar (Pinar) was excellent. She was so friendly and courteous and particularly helpful to my wife who had limited mobility and her knowledgeable input about Ephesus and the surrounding areas was exceptional.

We had a horse riding experience on St Kitts. However Venture Ashore gave us a late reporting time. 30 minutes late. We were lucky that the organiser was still there and sent us on a special bus so we got the experience.
Caused a little stress.

A great trip. The driver/guide was Casper, and he was terrific.

Fairly easy to meet at the start in port. Very pleasant tour guides. Good excursions.

We visited the Caribbean on a MSC cruise, wanted to do some excursions so decided on Venture Ashore and selected what we wanted, all went well and we received our vouchers which we printed off.Great.
On the first port of call however which was St Vincent's, we followed the instructions, got to the meet up point 15 mins before the tour was to begin, there was no sign of anybody displaying Venture Ashore anywhere. We approached a group of other tour operators to ask for some help and they informed us that the Venture Ashore guy had already left? It was still ten to nine?. The tour was suppose to start at nine.
This was not a great start and gave us no confidence for the other tour excursions we had booked.
Luckily another tour guy phoned the Venture Ashore guy and whatever happened between them, we got a nice tour with a young taxi driver which turned out to be excellent, so a happy ending to a poor beginning.
However the rest of our excursions went really well and we had no further problems, great tours with excellent guides. The only improvement I think needed is that it wasn't always easy to spot the Venture Ashore people.
So a very poor beginning, but a happy ending so we would definitely use Venture Ashore again.

Always there on time fantastic especially the day out on yacht in halong bay they went above and beyond thanks so much will be back to go on more trips with this company xx

Guide was ready and waiting for us, gave lots of information about the island, and what to expect at the beach. Was prompt at picking us up, to get us back to the ship. Really easy, as not a lot of traffic on a Sunday

Absolutely fantastic experience. Beyond my wildest dreams. Would definitely recommend.

Great trip, hosted by Nachos and the driver who were excellent , really enjoyed the tour, I would suggest that you spend longer parked by the shops in the centre of town rather than a drive which included the industrial area , leave that bit out because it is not great , the rest of the tour was superb and thanks to Nacho who recommended a great restaurant , good value trip better than the expensive ship trips

A great tour. First time we'd used the company and we were pleased with the way it went. Booking was easy with a clear description on the website. Communication could have been improved- a reminder to log on and print the voucher would have been appreciated.
Joining instructions were good and the tour well run and interesting.
The final stop was great - tea/coffee and cakes on the top floor of a hotel overlooking Ha Long bay. What a view

Five cruise excursion package, and all were excellent. Guides all very good, with Bobo for Bangkok trip head and shoulders above all the others, going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure all on the trip had a wonderful time

We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunshine Highlights tour of Grenada on 16th Jan. We felt we got a good overview of the island including visiting the nutmeg museum, chocolate factory & cascade waterfall as well as other viewpoints. Dexter was an excellent, knowledgeable guide & we would highly recommend him. Thank you.

Great excursion in Antigua. Guide was great fun and very knowledgeable. Lovely meal on a fabulous beach too.

We were met by a friendly guide clearly showing a Venture Ashore board.
Then split into 2 groups to tour Phuket. Unfortunately our group guide didn’t know how to make the tour interesting. He took us places and said take photo take photo. Eg. where people go to watch the sunset. No history or interesting facts.
We were taken to a museum and told to take a walk. Then dropped in the town in the middle of the day and told to look round.
I didn’t really enjoy the tour which was a shame as I have been on much better ones with the same company.

We did 5 tours through Venture Ashore whilst on our Caribbean cruise. Liked the fact that the groups were a lot smaller than excursions through the ship. On some of the tours there were only 4 or 6 of us in the group and the guides/ drivers were very flexible with the tour giving us longer on the beach than advertised. In St Kitts we think they amalgamated 2 tours together as there were only 6 of us in total and we all seemed to have booked different tours but it was fine. It wasn’t always easy finding the representative in the port despite clear instructions on where they would be. They didn’t all hold up a sign but we got there in the end. No reason not to book with them

Cancelled Catamaran Snorkel trip. AVOID COMPANY AS AWFUL. Spoilt my only day in Mexico.
Booked and received voucher for trip last November. On cruise and reached Cozumel, Mexico the day of trip. So far so good. Had to catch taxi to beach club which I was aware of, cost 25 US Dollars. On arrival name was not on list and they said Catamaran was out of action and they could not give us any other snorkelling experience. I tried to phone Venture emergency number to find out what was going on but no one answered just heard music so gave up! Return taxi cost 20 US Dollars. Managed to find bar with Wii and emailed Venture my disgust, and did receive a reply saying they were very sorry they were aware the Catamaran was out of action and very sorry trip was cancelled and would refund my money in full. I have received refund of trip money and yesterday I emailed asking for taxi money of 45 US Dollars, which I don’t think is unreasonable considering the official email cancellation of the booking was received 4 days after the event!, Guess what no communication as yet. Don’t think this will get refunded, so I would say to anyone looking to book with this Company AVOID AVOID AVOID at all cost so you don’t get disappointed. Venture please issue me with credit for taxis rides as I am out of pocket through no fault on mine, it was your lack of communication that led to this extra cost.

The tour brochure was enticing but the admin was terrible. We were forced to pay £130 for a tour that we couldn’t take because the ship didn’t dock in the port that had been paid for; and this despite ringing to cancel on their “no dock, no pay” policy.
Avoid, if you can
