We are a second generation small family, horticulture business in Kent with a passion for growing plants. We offer a wide selection of fruit, veg, herbs and flowers for your garden. Everything we grow to sell is ready for you to plant in your garden and grow on for the ultimate backdrop to your home. Whether you are wanting to grow your own food with companion planting or create the perfect herbaceous garden we can help with it all. As well as offering a large selection of fuchsias we also save our own tomato and chilli seeds (which are DEFRA certified) including many heritage varieties. We grow using traditional methods, without pesticides or insecticides (no-one wants to eat those!) at our nursery in Challock (between Ashford, Faversham, Maidstone and Canterbury), although we are no longer open to the public (this gives us more opportunity to concentrate on growing plants for you) we do offer a click and collect service as well as a full mail order service all over the Country. So whether you are looking to plant an orchard or grow soft fruit for a long term food providing garden, grow delicious vegetables or herbs (with so many incredible flavours, textures and vitamins) or add some colour with our stunning ornamental and flowering plants we have what you need and we can deliver it to your door. Our passion is plants, all year round!

Healthy plants well packaged
My plants were carefully packaged and arrived in good health. Thank you
Great quality plants
Great quality plants, and excellent service. In a world of big companies it is a joy to shop at a family business. I would absolutely reccommend them.
I couldn't be happier
I couldn't be happier! I made a small-ish order with a mixture of fruit trees, bushes, and a few plug plants. They were all posted out really quickly - much faster than pretty much any other place I've found selling plug plants, and they arrived fast as well with a courier that was reliable and clearly knew how to handle things properly. The plants were packaged well to survive the journey and I was honestly impressed with them - everything was healthy, robust and I could tell a lot of care had been taken to really treat the plants well during their early life before posting out.
I also really appreciate the company's website - it's really easy to see when browsing whether something is available now or can be preordered for later in the year, and the information about potential max size and growing needs of everything makes it really easy to plan out what I need for my space.
I now have the first small fruit and herb guild growing happily at home and I don't think I want to go anywhere else for the next one.
revieved onion (weeds) plants
revieved onion (weeds) plants , load of rubbish , planted as instructed , all have died , postage cost was a joke , i paid for next day delivery (after dispatch) this didnt happen , customer servivces were no help , havnt got a clue what they are talking about , the lady I spoke to told me "we dont get frosts here in the UK in April " just plant the plants and watch them grow , well I planted them and watched them die , rubbish plants , crap customer services , wont be back for more
Dreadful
I should have read the Trust Pilot reviews before I placed the order as there seems to be a common thread in many of the reviews about poor plants and poor customer service. I ordered six rhubarb plants. The website said they would be supplied as “pot grown plants”. They were not. I received what looked like six pots of compost. One showed a mouldy looking crown on the surface. The others showed nothing. The only evidence of anything green was moss on the soil surface. I paid £28.50 and feel I have been robbed. I emailed a photograph and received a reply telling me to plant them as they would be fine, it was just that the frost had “knocked them back a little”. A little! It is my belief that the frost had killed them. I replied that under consumer rights I would like a refund. Again they wrote back telling me to plant them and report back in a month or two. I have planted them but feel I may as well have planted six £5 notes. I will report back to them in due course and in the unlikely event that I have six healthy rhubarb plants by then I will edit this review accordingly. If not I shall demand a refund and failing that will contact the credit card company. I would add that I only ordered these plants because only one of the four I bought last year survived the winter. The ones I bought last year were, however, lovely little rhubarb plants so I do not blame Victoriana for that.
I love the plants offered by this…
I love the plants offered by this nursery. It feels like a mission for them and great quality and range.
Was struggling with a crashing payment page but the link email was quickly responded to and was effective. Thanks people!
Great company
I ordered a bay plant and am really pleased with it! It arrived in excellent condition and very healthy. I received communications from Victoriana, letting me know when my order was processed and shipped. I also really like their growing ethos. I will definitely buy from them again and recommend to others.
Excellent
I ordered two Fuchsias on a Monday ( Bashful and Cardinal Farges) and they arrived on the Friday well packaged and in good condition I am very pleased with the service from Victoriana Nursery gardens
Poor plants and customer care
Poor plants and customer care. I bought 6 tomato plants. Plants arrived in very sorry state - very limp in very little, bone dry soil, with very little protection for transportation (in small box with shredded paper, no hydration ). I immediately planted them on arrival, and emailed them I was very disappointed with the state the plants arrived in. They asked me to plant them and keep them updated. The plants have remained sickly and after 2 weeks still look poorly. They feel that I am not happy no matter what they say, which is simply not true. They do not have any customer care or care for their product as far as I could tell. They wanted them re-potted again, new compost etc etc. But they do not accept any responsibility for the state they arrived in the first place. The plants I bought elsewhere are flourishing. I buy plants online regularly and have never had to complain before. Avoid. I would give a zero, in fact less than zero if I could.
First Class Service
Very good informative website.
Selected Fuschia arrived in a short time.
Plant was healthy. After 10 days the plant is growing on strongly.
Highly Recommend
Wouldn't use again
Ordered two fuchsias. They arrived promptly. Like other reviewers I was unimpressed by the quality. They where small, had moss on top of the soil and where root bound. You wouldn't buy these if you saw them in a store. I don't consider it good value for money, when I can get larger healthier fuchsia from Lidl for a fraction of the price (but they are unnamed). Wouldn't use them again.
Extremely poor germination
My first time order of seeds from this company. Very small quantity in the packet and the germination rates were 0-20% with all 14 varieties, apart from radishes (though ridiculously small amount) and carrots ( too early for those). Have ordered from Real Seeds for years and from Premier seeds too and have never had similar experience with poor germination.
The customer service and delivery was OK, hence the one star.
Excellent!
Excellent quality seedlings delivered super fast and in fantastic condition, highly recommend these guys if you want to jump past growing from seed.
Quick delivery
Quick delivery, excellent standard of plant and good price. Very happy
Ordered Angel Fiahing Rod plants
Ordered Angel Fiahing Rod plants, was kept up to date with my plants being despatched. Delivery arrived next day!
Plants arrived well packaged with some lovely wet newspaper to keep them damp whilst in transit
10/10 on everything
Great plants great packaging also staff very helpful 10/10 service and staff.
Well established and healthy edible products
This is a well established company I have used for 25 years of fruit and vegetable gardening, with some plants that I have from those first orders, such as sea kale and horseradish. A good range of well grown and packaged edibles, great stuff indeed. The range of herbs is exactly what I want and establish well.
I planted our asparagus bed many years…
I planted our asparagus bed many years ago and now the original crowns are producing spindly spears. As a result the first of 5 new crowns mark the start of a gradual replacement for the whole bed. Mary Washington was a random selection and I will select other named plants as we go along. Each year after cutting the old fronds I put o a good layer of compost. I was told long ago that asparagus as a seaside plant likes salt so I throw a few handfulls down each autumn. Kevin Dalley
