Victoriana Nursery Gardens Avis 

I received a badly damaged lot of plants and was very disappointed when I reported this. Rather than being offered a refund or replacment plants I was told to plant the mess that I had received in place of my order and to hope for the best.
I was also told if I was still unhappy I could return the plants at my own cost!
Do yourself a favour and buy from a company that understands the concept of customer care.

Simple to order, arrived promptly, and a quality plant.

I ordered 3 lots of very different young plants, all arrived in great condition and are lovely healthy plants.

I bought my plants online this time, and to be honest, I was a bit nervous. You know how it is—sometimes you order something green and alive, and what arrives feels more like a “maybe” than a blessing. But not this time.

From the start, everything just flowed right. The website was easy to navigate, no clutter or confusion, and each plant had clear info—none of that copy-paste nonsense. You could tell whoever put it together actually knew plants, not just how to sell them.

Delivery was smooth too. The box arrived in good time and when I opened it, I actually smiled. Each plant was packaged with care, not just thrown in like a last-minute parcel. The soil was still moist, the leaves were healthy, and not one had that tired look you sometimes get from travel. It felt like they came straight from a greenhouse, not a warehouse.

I’ve planted them now and they’re settling in nicely. One of them already feels like she’s home.

I’d definitely order again—this felt like more than just a transaction. It felt like someone on the other end actually cared.

As other reviewers have previously said:
1. Very poor quality seeds with incredibly poor germination rates.
2. Awful and rude customer service - they seem to have a ‘we are always right and customer is always wrong policy.

Best to find an alternative source of supply if you value your sanity.

Appalling, out of 50 (only 46 supplied) every plant is nearly dead, yet: the 'mind your business' that is better in sunnier conditions, has not lasted a week. Seemingly I planted in a too sunnier conditions!!!! Yet on the web site its says ' Better in Sunnier conditions!
And the Lavender, has also almost all died, out of 25 less than 3! I suppose that does not like sunny conditions?

I received my plant order today. The plants were packed very well and were in excellent condition. I have used Victoriana Nursery and have not been disappointed.

Gorgeous camomile plants from this nursery. I have made a small camomile lawn at home. I ordered 100 plants in January. They were delivered at the end of May. I needed another 50 plants which arrived promptly this week. The small plugs were green and very healthy on arrival. The first batch has done very well since planting. At least doubled in size. I was kept informed about dispatch. The same courier delivered both orders efficiently. Good value. I would use again.

First time ordering from Victoriana. Lovely site, just a little old fashioned.
Having said that, the order process was simple and straight forward. Regular Emails kept me informed of what is happening to my order and where it is. And the Email background is just cute. Plants arrived today and were as expected. Looking very healthy and lush and green. How well they do remains to be seen but from the look of them I think they will do very well.
I will definitely order from Victoriana again. Have my eye on a few more plants.

Iam particularly interested in herbs both culinary and medicinal. This company has a very good selection to chose from at reasonable prices My initial order for 4 plants arrived in good time and good condition. I will certainly be ordering some more plants shortly

I have been asked by Victorian Nurseries to rate their plants. They wrote "But in a world where people seem more than happy (and fast) to criticise, if you have a moment at some time, we’d very much welcome you rating us"
So this is not to criticise but to factually state what I found when ordering from them.
Royalmail is not a good choice when sending plants but mine came through quite quickly..within a couple of days. So the state of the plants cannot be because of long travelling time but they were roughly handled.
Compared to other suppliers, the plants are very under developed and small. Their compost block grown cut and come again cauliflowers are no more than immature plug plants with a few weak and now battered leaves. Their 7cm pots are only 7cm tall. Other suppliers with similar prices have 8cm -9cm pots that are 10cm tall. Their battered appearance I will put down to travelling through the postal system with very little effective padding. Placing a pile of shredded newspaper on top of plants laid directly on the bottom of the box does not work! However the yellowing and browning around the edges I was not prepared for. How long have they been in the box? These very poor quality plants will have to be nursed into health before being planted out otherwise they will be attacked by slugs who recognise and go for weak plants. To be fair the Burn Jelly plant is in excellent health and very robust.
I suggest that the folks at Victoriana nursery should buy a few herbs from a few suppliers to see what quality other suppliers are providing customers with and to learn how to pack the plants effectively.
To get good reviews its a no brainer that the plants have to be healthy and well cared for. Maybe folks, as an experiment send yourselves plants to see what happens to them in the post. I will not be shopping at Victorian Nurseries again when for the same price I can buy good healthy plants from other suppliers.

Before the plants arrived, they kept me in touch with delivery arrangements. The plants arrived as scheduled today in excellent condition. They are well-developed with a good root system. Very pleased.
