Amazing!!!

Had a fantastic time at Villa Elysium would highly recommend clean spacious etc. and can I just say the pool man was lovely gave lots of ideas for things to do. Would def recommend. Thank you for making our holiday amazing.

Utterly disappointed

In November 2017 we stayed in Villa Renaissance and had a fabulous holiday,
This year (2020) I turn 40 so we decided to book the villa again for a family holiday to celebrate my big birthday, having booked our 2020 November holiday in March 2019.
We've all been excited and greatly looking forward our stay again, and then March 2020 cronovirvus hit throwing everything in to uncertainty.
We waited it out following updates then our British government announce that if Britain's travel to certain countries we've then got to quarantine for 14 days upon our return to Britain. Some of our party then received emails from work stating they would face disaplenry action if they knowingly travel some been told they wouldn't receive pay, I myself work in a school had had to write to my governors requesting permission for my 2 weeks originally booked for our big holiday. So I've got no chance of having 4 weeks off and I can't risk losing my job.
The lead booker contacted the company asking if we could transfer our holiday to November 2022 as unfortunately some of our party had already booked an holiday in November 2021 so we can't travel then. And having a party of 11 it's very difficult to get time together but November suits nearly all of us.
But the company wont let us swop the holiday to then, and yes we have 12 weeks until we travel but at present Jet2 the airline we've booked with are NOT flying to Lanzarote and our government have NOT set a review date for looking at lifting these quarantine restrictions.
With all this uncertainty and our date approaching for our balances to paid in full, this includes villa, flights, airport parking we made the group to decision to cancel.
We are all absolutely gutted and having spent the best past of over a year looking forward to this holiday and my family not having been abroad since 2017 when we lasted visited you, we now have nothing to look forward too and are really disappointed we couldn't come to an agreement with the company with regards to swopping our holiday dates. 😭😭😭😭

UPDATE I have mentioned we wanted to rebook for November 2022 so I'm sure people can work out that's 24 months in advance, I've also mentioned that the lead booker contacted you, so again people will know I'm not the lead booker, and again WE BOOKED FLIGHTS WITH JET 2 they've now cancelled flights to Lanzarote until 18th October 2020 so I don't know what company's are flying to you but the one we booked with certainty aren't. You also mention you wouldn't chase us for the full balance, re your terms and conditions which headed every response email from you.
Cancellations by the client must be by email from the email account used to make the booking. For cancellations greater than 70 days before your original arrival day the 25% deposit is retained by VillasPlayaBlanca Limited. For cancellation of between 70 days and 29 days of your original arrival then 50% of your total booking cost is refunded, for cancellations of 28 days or less of your original arrival day no refunds are issued. We strongly advise all clients to have travel/holiday insurance.
So where would we have stood if you took it further. We'd of ended up paying out alot more money.

What a load of rubbish we tried to work with you and offered to move your stay up to 12 months in front. You had only paid your deposit, we did not ask for any further payments but you declined this. When you cancelled the airlines were flying to Lanzarote and in deed they are still flying (September 2020) and we are receiving guests. Why did you not change your dates upto 12 months in front, in your review you do not mention this offer, you are not even the person who booked, check with them. The person who booked wanted to put the booking back by 24 months, we could not accommodate this. Stupid and blinkered, thank you for the 1 star, quite frankly you utterly disappoint me, how can you try and ruin a business with your utter stupidity.

I have booked with villas playa blanca a number of times and never had any issues. We have stayed in a few of the villas they offer and if there were any problems they came to fix them promptly. We have booked with them again for this year and hvae been left feeling very let down by a company that prides itself on repeat customers. All I can say is if this is how you treat repeat customers I am very surprised any want to rebook with the company.
We have a holiday that is due for full payment for travel in novemeber. Members of our group have been told by their work places that if they travel and have to self isolate on return to work they will face displinary action and will not be paid for the period of self isolation as lanzarote is a country we have to self isolate when returning from i contacted villas playa blanca to ask what options we had in regards to our booking. The response I recieved was please refer to our terms and conditions when asked them to clarify them they just kept saying please refer to our terms and conditions. After a few emails they did say they would not chase for balance payment until travel was clearer but then reading the terms and conditions it stated cancellation after 70 days to departure 50% of balance must be paid and the closer the holiday got the more % was due of cancellation took place. We asked villas playa blanca to move our holiday dates to 2022 as members of our group already have holidays booked for 2021. The response was that changes to booking must be within 12 months as stated in terms and conditions. But in the terms and conditions on the company Web site it just states changes can be made subject to availability and approval by villas playa blanca charges may apply. If this company wanted to look after repeat customers they would have allowed us to move holiday dates but they have refused we have had to cancel our holiday and lose our deposit as we were not prepared to risk leaving cancellation and having to pay more money for a holiday we could attend. This company is not ABTA or ATOL bonded please be careful booking with them as you will not get a refund according to their own company terms and conditions and when asked for clarification they are very reluctant to communicate with you.

We tried to work with you offering to change your booking, we told you we did not want any extra payment until the situation on travel was clearer. Your stay was almost 12 weeks away when you cancelled. It is my view you never intended to take up your booking for 2020. We offered to put your booking back 12 months but you declined.

Cancelling so far in front was a surprise to us. Much can change between now and November regarding quarantine.

We were very happy to allow your final balance payment to run overdue in the hope that the situation would become more clear. This would have been the ideal option for all parties if it was your intention to travel, should there be no quarantine.

Our terms and conditions make clear that any changes are "are subject to availability and approval by VillasPlayaBlanca Limited". During these very difficult times we have worked with many clients changing bookings, refunding where appropriate and our guests have been delighted by us accommodating their needs.

As regards your comments on ABTA and ATOL, we offer holiday accommodation only, and as such like most villa agencies we are not a full travel operator and not a member of ABTA or ATOL. ABTA protection is only relevant if the travel company goes out of business and ATOL is a protection more in relation to airlines going out of business. ABTA or ATOL could not help you, the villa is open for business, airlines ate flying to the island. If you do not feel happy to travel you were given the opportunity to change your dates to the following year.

Casa Maelle - Poor cleaning, lack of maintenance & terrible customer service

We first arrived to what initially apeared to be a really pretty villa however within 30 minutes of arriving it was very quickly noted that the villa was greatly lacking in maintenance and the cleaning was very below the standard of a 5 star property. Upon entry it was noted that the leather sofa was peeling greatly. Upon further inspection large rips were evident and food remains (presumably from the prior occupants). Window netting/dressings where heavily stained, the roof was cobweb'd, hydraulic opening rams were missing from kitchen cupboards which resulted in them slamming shut (nearly taking off my childrens fingers) with one wall door actually falling off in my hand, the door leading to the roof was unusable from the bedroom and had been screwed shut, locks had failed to the french doors leading out to the pool resulting in the french doors being screwed shut, the external lighting both around and within the pool weren't working which resulted in our children not being able to use the pool on an evening for the first couple of nights. The pool table cloth and balls were extremely sun bleached and worn, with chalk marks and staining all over the cloth. The pool table cover had been held together with black gaffer/duck tape which had melted in the sun and left sticky black marks all over the flooring around both the pool and barbeque area. The barbeque was filthy and food waste/rubbish had been left in a bricole bag in the cupboard next to it. The Ceiling joints to the barbeque area had been sealed using masking tape which had been painted over and was starting to fall/hang off. The images highlighted on the web page are from when the villa was first renovated/built where as it is now very dated with the furniture shown being replaced with poor quality alternatives. What is also avoided within the property advert is that the villa faces a Construction Plant/material distribution company which supplies the local building sites. As such we were frequented each day at 7am with the sound of reversing becons and lorrys being loaded. When the issues where raised with the property manager (Mark), he simply acknowledged the issues and told us that a 5 star property in Lanzarote was not the same as in other countries and if if we weren't happy we could just leave immediately and be reimmbursed in full. It was now mid afternoon and with it being peak season the chances of finding alternative accomodation was little to impossible in such a short time. Due to this we gave Mark a chance and requested the cleaners revisit however on arrival they were very defensive/confrontational about their work and immediately began arguing with my wife. We then contacted Mark about the all issues combined and the buggeration caused to what was supposed to be a 5 star holiday (which we paid £4500) and requested 2 days refund from the 14 days paid (1 day per family) which came to £643 in total (£321.50). Mark or any of the other facility team failed to reply to our requests. Unfortunately based on the affore issues I would not touch this company or any of their properties ever again. I have numerous photographs which I am more than happy to forward should they be requested.

I totally reject your comments.

You, as the reviewer, did not make the booking, The booking was made by a repeat customer, who was part of a party that stayed in the villa just a few months prior, so of course knowing the location and villa. From your first comments it was evident to us that you were seeking holiday spending money. We immediately offered you a full refund so you could change accommodation. We told you which website had properties available. You declined, as I believe you was seeking holiday spending money.

I find it peculiar to see this review, around one year after the actual stay which you refer to.

At the time, we were surprised to receive complaints from your group given that family involved in the group had stayed at the very same villa just a few months previously (they stayed in May 2019). Members of the team were even asked to not mention this to you particularly.

The bookings in May 2019 proved problematic for staff in resort, as there was a family fall out and the villa manager had to move some members of your group from one villa to another. This was going far beyond the normal duties of the staff in resort.

This particular booking also proved problematic for the company administratively. First, Villa Vicini was booked - it then changed to Villa Esmee - then Casa Captiva - and finally Casa Maelle. VillasPlayaBlanca went above and beyond reasonable expectations to accommodate the many changes in your group, even when commission invoices had been paid.

Regarding your stay in July into August 2019, there were plenty of other properties on the island available for you, a quick search on sites such as HomeAway found plenty of available results. You did have opportunity to move elsewhere. I feel you didn't properly explore other options. The response from the team in resort was immediate in visiting the property and offering a refund.

The maids reported during your stay that that they suspected more people were staying in the villa than disclosed, over-occupying the property. Photos were also taken of mess around the villa, including linen and cushions outside around the pool.

We have an email from yourself threatening to put a review online unless we made a payment to you. We do not respond to such threats.

We can only conclude that you were seeking holiday spending money.

Don't book with Villas Playa Blanca, you'll lose all your money!

I can only reinforce the previous author's review. My parents had booked an accommodation on Lanzarote for late March/early April through the website of Villas Playa Blanca. The apartment looked nice and the price was good, which is why we chose this agency.

However, the agency's behavior amid the Corona pandemic cannot be excused:
As non-residents we were not even permitted to come onto Lanzarote due to the state of emergency and lockdown imposed by the Spanish government. When asking the property owner for a refund or a postponing of our stay, he stated that the agency would not refund any money.

Please don't book with this agency. If something goes wrong, you will lose all the money paid for the rent of an apartment you cannot even get to.

The property owner's response, in which he suggests to refer to a travel insurance company, is ridiculous because pandemics are not covered in travel insurances.

I wonder if anyone in this forum would be interested in legal steps against the agency, e.g. a group action.

Your booking was placed with clearly stated terms and conditions, as well as a recommendation for you to have travel insurance. We have made speedy refunds to guests within our clearly stated terms and cancellation policy.

I am not sure where your misguided information is that insurance aren't paying out. Travel insurance companies are paying out, we have provided payment receipts and letters to several of our bookers to support their insurance claims. I would strongly suggest you check with your travel insurance if you indeed have it. If you're due to travel during the period in which the Government is advising against travel, you will find most travel insurance companies will pay out.

Our cancellation policy is more relaxed than may of the stated policies of similar agents to ourselves.

Your review should be of your travel/holiday insurance provider, we have always paid out promptly as per our terms and conditions. These are very difficult times for all, I understand your anger but it is misdirected.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING. The accommodation on this website is nice, but NOT Protected in anyway, please consider before booking they WILL NOT refund, rebook or compromise in any way. We have lost a lot of money foolishly booking with a non reputable villa company admid the latest Coronavirus Crisis. No one should be out of pocket but there was no compromise at all WE LOST EVERYTHING. Please book with an ATOL or ABTA protected company or someone who will treat you a little fairer. Had recommended this company to several people but now have advised to stay away. Don’t loose your hard earned cash.

We strongly advise all clients to have travel insurance and use this for these kind of unforeseen circumstances. If you require a letter for your travel insurance, please tell the lead booker to contact us via email and we will be happy to write and send one.

We do offer credit card payment, which is covered under the Consumer Credit Act and only relevant if the company ceased trading.

Lovely apartment very clean and well presented

Lovely apartment very clean and well equipped all you need for a self catering. Lovely welcome pack. We had 10 nights, towels changed, and bedding half way through stay. The roof terrace was brilliant as I’m an early riser I seen some amazing sun rises. Some lovely restaurants and little coffee shops. The bar below was good for a glass of chilled wine in the afternoon and some evenings we had an entrecôte which was nice or a pizza. The whole experience was extremely good and would highly recommend it. Communication with Mark and staff was very good. Good luck for the future and keep up the good work. Easy booking process online

Easy booking process online right through from enquiry to paying and receiving the arrival instructions. Found the property easily, enjoyed a relaxing stay and loved the location.
We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay, this was resolved very quickly. Couldn’t fault the level of service.

We have stayed with VillasPlayaBlanca…

We have stayed with VillasPlayaBlanca many times and we are returning again in September. They have beautiful villas that are always clean, well furnished and have all the facilities you need for a great holiday. The villas are all in good locations, only a 10/15 minute walk to the beach, bars and restaurants.
We found it easy to find the right villa, check dates and book on the website paying with a credit card.
It’s a family run business with a great service, all the staff are very friendly and helpful, the maids,pool cleaners and the management team.
I would highly recommend VillasPlayaBlanca, I personally wouldn’t book with any other company and we are looking forward to many more great family holidays staying in there villas. ☀️😎

Villasplayablanca.co.uk is so far, the best Holiday home rental site we have some across. We have used the service 5 times so far and have already booked again for May 2020. Beautiful Villas, great welcome pack, information before and during the booking process. Very favorable rates compared to other companies and super customer service. Cant fault it and will continue to book with them everytime we go back to Lanzarotte.

Perfection in Playa...

The booking process was clear and simple online, we paid with our credit card too. Communication was good before we arrived, we even got a few useful recommendations on things to do. Arriving at the villa it was clean and fresh, there was even a very good welcome pack awaiting us. The location was good for us getting around. The pool was cleaned twice during our stay, our towels were changed, the representatives in resort were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Villas Playa Blanca ( Villas Quintus/Vincini )

My husband and I treated our family of 14 ( ranging in age from 70 to 10 months) to a holiday in Playa Blanca. We had 2 villas next door to each other and what Fabulous Villas they were. Each one was Spacious, Modern and extremely well equipped .Each had its own lovely pool of a decent size which included a children’s pool. The booking was made so much easier thanks to the Owners Mark, Amanda and Nathan , lovely people to do business with. Very quick to reply to emails and answer any queries. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and Highly Recommend VillasPlayaBlanca

Excellent villa

We have just returned from a stay in one of these villas and I must say everything was top class. The villa we stayed in was very spacious in all rooms, very good wifi (for the kids). The outside space was really good with a good sized pool, table tennis and a pool table. Excellent barbeque area too.
Our villa was located fairly central to Playa Blanca itself which was just a leisurely 15 minute walk away (you could see the see from our balcony, which also included a hot tub !). There was also a local shop and a tapas bar should you not want to venture too far.
All the staff were very pleasant and friendly (especially Nathan) the villa was cleaned regularly even the pool while we were there.
I must say that normally I am not into to writing reviews but i felt in this instance the way we were looked after i had to as too many people look for negatives.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend and am looking forward to another stay with villasplayablanca this coming October.

Booking a villa for my large family…

Booking a villa for my large family group is always a big task pleasing everybody’s requirements, but we received great help pointing us in the right directions with villas that suited us best and all the info on available dates. Then making the booking on the website was straightforward and paying with card. There was plenty of contact with details of the villa and helpful tips from the owners.

When we arrived we had a great welcome pack with all basics like bread, milk, coffee, tea, cheese, ham, even a cold drink, this was especially good for us arriving on a late flight with a few tired children. The next day we received a visit from the local rep to check all was OK, he recommended some great restaurants to visit and showed us how to work the TV.
All facilities were great. The kids made good use of the pool and pool table! While we adults enjoyed sitting in the outdoors and had a few BBQs. There were so many little finishing touches at the villa which made it a great holiday.
