If I could give this company 0 stars I would !!!! I was dictated to and was interrupted and was spoken down to oddly by a woman named Karen ( the name suited her ) After complaining I was told that as I was autistic that talking therapy isn't right for me and they cannot help me as they only have a few counsellors. I was offered another one but there would be a wait but because I have autism talking therapy isn't for me ! So if you are autistic just know we shouldn't have therapy that involves talking! Go elsewhere... Maybe talk to a wall or maybe just don't talk ! Absolutely disgusting.

Awful

Awful. All the Bristol mental health treatment goes via here, even if you are very unwell. Their wait lists are around a year at minimum, the support is short and limited to very basic CBT and a bit of very basic trauma therapy. They can only address one traumatic event per referral which makes it useless for most issues and there is no inperson service at all. If they think you are at any risk of serious depression they refuse to accept the referral for liability reasons leaving you with nothing.

2 week wait for appointment- useless!

My employee pays for aviva healthcare and I was experiencing neck pain, I was referred to Vita Healthcare, the email requested me to book an appointment but the button didn’t work. I called in and spoke with a lovely lady but the first appointment was in 2 weeks time apparently Amanda is only one who deals with aviva clients. I hope I will be better in 2 weeks!! Anyway I’ve taken the appointment just in case….

0 stars!!

0 stars!!! this thing should be closed without any further notice!! i have seen loads of stuff untrained and unqualified in the uk in the past 8 years but this “thing” is outrageous! the admins are scrolling instagram all day long, do not answer the phone, if you’re telling them they can’t do their jobs they get offended and closing the chat everytime(phone as well) the complains are not resolved, the problems never addressed, i came with one health issues and leave with another 2 health problems, the doctors are not trained and should not be in this position ever, this seems like a joke to them!

I’ve never been more disgusted with an…

I’ve never been more disgusted with an NHS-contracted provider. Vita Health Group runs Kent & Medway Talking Therapies and yet, despite being paid substantial amounts by the NHS (part of an organization with over £100 million in annual revenue, two-thirds from NHS contracts alone), they failed completely in providing even minimal support.

Let me be clear: they left a neurodivergent person with autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and a history of self-harm waiting almost a YEAR so far while deteriorating. Despite several risk assessments (including one in December 2024 that noted suicidal thoughts and self-harm, patient was discharged without notice in May 2025 and dropped off the waiting list, without anyone even telling him.

They told his GP, not him. That’s disgraceful. No letter, no call, no explanation. Then, when LifeRisk should have escalated, they handed him back and forth between services (Mental Health Together, secondary care), meaning he ends up losing his original referral and waiting time, again and again.

All this while Vita is comfortably raking in cash—over £100 million in turnover, EBITDA around £10 million, and part of a larger multi-billion-pound healthcare conglomerate under Spire Healthcare.

Bottom line? This service is deeply negligent and completely misaligned with its NHS obligations. It’s not just incompetence—it’s a system that prioritizes profit over people. Families beware: if you depend on them, they may leave you to fall through the cracks—and nobody will tell you what’s happened. You will be left alone, without help or support, until you can no longer cope.

Awful service, a joke!

Awful! We are fortunate to have private medical healthcare with Aviva through work, they pass the physio bit of this on to VITA. The initial service from both Aviva then VITA was very slow anyway, but I accepted that. It then got worse. VITA discharged me by letter (after a phone call telling me they were sorting it out and it was all fine), I complained and was told I will get a call back within 10 days. After 15 days I called again and was told they will email the enquiries team again - I cannot speak to the complaints team and neither could the person at VITA, all they can do is email. Absolute joke! I asked who else I could speak to, was told no-one, it has been raised again and I need to wait for a call. Person who dealt with my call was very friendly and was clearly in a tough position and couldn't do anything or pass me on to anyone else, just a shocking service overall and the complaints process is a joke.

A harmful service

A harmful service. My practitioner would ring me (usually after rescheduling at least once) and let the phone ring for one second before hanging up. Even sat there waiting with my phone in front of me I was never able to pick it up fast enough to actually answer her call. I'd then email straight away to ask if she could call me back (couldn't call her - withheld number) but wouldn't get a reply until nearly the end of our hour when she would say I didn't answer my phone and I'd missed the session. This really made me feel like I was going crazy, it was really upsetting every time it happened. She also used Chat GPT to write all her emails (she admitted to using it when I asked), inputting my personal information into the chatbot without my consent. I don't understand how the practitioners here sleep at night treating people this way.

Sciatica treatment

I attended a program of 6 appointments from May to July with Bilal Din for sciatica. Bilal was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable, his advice and personal recovery program was first class and helped with the relief of my issue.
Highly recommended.
Thank you very much Bilal.

Absolute terrible coverage

Absolute terrible coverage. They will use every opportunity to drop you from their services or brush you off. Disgusting that this is the gatekeeper between getting actual help on the NHS

Dangerous ‘service’

Hard to know where to start. I hope the NHS take the Kent and Medway contract off of this company ASAP. Their service is not fit-for-purpose, with calls extremely late (30 minutes +)/cancelled at the last minute, and an administrator was rude to me for caring about this, the third time it happened to me!! I’ve found the service messy, inconsistent, staffed mostly by people clearly very out-of-their-depth and poorly trained, with very high turnover (I saw my first employment advisor for only 1 week before she left, then could only tolerate 2 weeks with the 2nd before I gave up) and ultimately I think it’s more damaging to someone’s mental health than no support at all. And I’ve spoken to 3 friends who’ve had similarly horrendous experiences with Kent and Medway Talk. Also I take a dim view of their ploy to discharge people and shorten their waiting lists, by sending a ‘do you still want to be on the waiting list - if you miss this email, enjoy being kicked off!’ email last week. Since they basically have a monopoly, I’ve got no choice but to give the counselling a go, but my expectations could not be lower, and I might be better off with no support at all.

Disgusting effort

Disgusting effort. I used through a company service offered to me. In a nutshell, after seeing an external physiotherapist for 4 short sessions for chronic acute back pain, my company system then appointed me back to vitahealth for a review. I was dealt with by a lady who was completely full of herself and her past achievements. I was made aware of her accomplishments from the very start. I was asked a few basic questions, ie, did I think the physio sessions had helped, and I suggested somewhat, but I believed further would benefit me. The woman on the phone disagreed with me, and told me I needed to walk 10,000 steps a day, after work, with my very young children, and with a weighted backpack. I work from 0700-1800, when am i supposed to fit that in alongside the small amount of childcare I can offer in my evening, putting the children to bed, my showering, and eating dinner, before bed. Keeping in mind I am always exhausted??! Along with the absolute cheek of being sent 3 x 45 minute yoga videos to fit in I think 3 times a week, AND a couple of 15 minute videos of simple stretches, videos made and supplied by some American guy on the other side of the world?!!
After 2 weeks the woman made contact with me again. I explained I had fit in what I could during the time passed, and she said that she always manages to help people heal, but unfortunately she wasn’t able to help me any further, and cut ties with me??? What the hell??? ABSOLUTELY BOTTOM LEVEL EFFORT. You’re a TERRIBLE physiotherapist. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR.

AWFUL SERVICE

Terrible service for mental health. CBT "therapist" was useless and lied about me. He did not show any interest in doing his job beyond the behavoural stuff, i.e. just go for a walk. That is not CBT. That is treating someone like a insentient zoo animal that needs some enrichment. No proper CBT was on offer.

This is what happens when you have poorly trained staff paid by private companies to make profit paid for by taxpayers. And the major problem, with this company among many others in all sectors, you just will not train people. You expect them to have exact experience and be "oven ready" when they just are not.

The "therapist" was just downright rude and aggressive in the end when "therapy" was cancelled and wasn't even aware of how to make further referrals properly. I really doubt they get more than one day of training.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Been waiting for an appointment since the start of February 2025. I was informed that I would receive an appointment by mid-March 2025, which I never received. Since following up, I was firstly told that the service that I was required they did not support, so would be writing a referral. Since then, I still did not receive a "promised" update, instead, I later receive a discharge letter stating that no minor surgery is required, which completely contradicts their initial assessment! I have no idea what's going on, and it appears that neither do they. Instead I am back to square one with having to go through my GP for another referral (which they kindly recommended within their letter)!!!
