Poor Service
I visited the Vodafone store in Epsom on 17/06 to purchase a roaming package for use abroad. I made it very clear that I wanted the package applied only to my own phone number. However, the person assisting me—who was impatient, dismissive, and seemed unwilling to listen—ended up activating the roaming package on my husband's phone instead.
Because I had no idea this mistake had been made, I used mobile data while abroad, and the resulting roaming charges were added to my bill.
To be honest, I was already concerned that something like this might happen because of the person's attitude. I even asked several times, "Are you sure it's been applied to my number?" Each time, I was told, "Yes, I'm sure," in a way that simply brushed me off.
Please ensure that your staff have the communication skills needed to listen carefully to customers. If they don't, they should receive proper training. Customers shouldn't have to spend an hour on the phone with customer service trying to resolve mistakes that could have been easily avoided.
