The rower was delivered quickly and was easy to put together. The rower itself is beautiful as an object, so much better than the standard grey metal ones. When is use the sound is amazing.

I exchanged a few emails with the company - all were answered promptly in a friendly manner.

I would not hesitate to recommend.

Excellent Service

I have the original Waterrower, which I purchased about a decade ago. I recently required some accessories and bolts (as I misplaced them while storing the rower away during our renovation) and I had to contact customer service for advice. Zarah and Nithini were super helpful and both replied promptly to my emails. I was so impressed with the customer service. It is great to know that even after 10 years I can have peace of mind with this rower thanks to the excellent customer support.

Ordered through Amazon, when it arrived I noticed when setting it up the wooden arm for the tablet holder was missing.
Late Saturday evening, I had to email them, got a reply on Tuesday and the part arrived Thursday, fantastic customer service, quick response and postage.

I called about a heart monitor upgrade for my water rower. The call was answered quickly,the assistant was very polite and knowledgeable.He explained what I needed to do to fit it and how to order.I ordered it the same day it arrived 3 days later. Excellent service, I would highly recommend this Company to family and friends.

I purchased an Ergatta rowing machine on the Ergatta website. I am posting my review on this site as I believe that Waterrower is the parent company.

On the Ergatta website there is a returns policy which states that the machine can be returned within 30 days for a refund, as long as it’s in original condition and not damaged. It also states that the rower will be collected by their technician.

I have tried the machine. It is well made but the workouts are not really for me. Therefore, I contacted Ergatta to advise that I wish to return it.

Unfortunately, this process has not been straightforward. Firstly, they are extremely slow at responding to any contact and I have had to continually chase them.

I have now been advised that as I have not got the packaging, they will charge me £100 for this. At the time of writing, the Ergatta returns policy makes no mention of the original packaging needing to be retained. I have spoken to a manager called Sam who repeatedly said to me that the wording of the returns policy is quite clear in indicating that the original packaging must be retained. If I could attach the policy I would because there is no mention of this. This company seeks to apply their own interpretation of the policy, which is not supported by the actual wording.

In addition, Sam informed me that the rower would not in fact be collected by a technician but they would use a courier. She also said that they would not refund me until they examined all of the parts to check it wasn’t damaged, due to me not returning it in the original packaging. I pointed out to Sam that if they send their technician, as per the policy wording, then they would be able to check the condition prior to collection. The fact that they are not adhering to their own policy should not be my problem.

I am astonished by the lack of transparency and the deceptive attitude of this company.

I would urge potential purchasers to be aware my experience when considering whether to buy from this company.

From the first point of selecting WaterRower as my purchase option the communication has been second to none, the transactions speedy and the level of service professional at all times.

I would not hesitate to recommend WaterRower to anyone who was in the market for any of their products. I am over the moon with the quality of my Performance Ergometer in Walnut that sits in the corner of my living room and matches my interior design when not in use; simply perfect.

I am v disappointed with this company.

The tank sprung a leak on my water rower earlier this year in March.

I ordered some of the glue they recommend via their service department for which they charged £50 (!).

Anyway I thought as long as it works never mind. I then applied the glue as per instructions after dismantling the tank and then left to dry for a few days.

A short while later it sprung a leak again. Only when it did so did I check the tube because I was sure I had applied it correctly and left it plenty of time to dry. The expiry printed on the tube was for early 2024 - several months before I even placed the order!

You may think glue can’t go off but they are pretty clear in their instructions that it must be used within a few weeks of receiving it so I am sure I would not have got much sympathy if I had used expired glue!

Anyway I am awaiting a response requesting a refund and have been for over 10 days having sent them a photo of the glue with expiry clearly visible (something they should be able to get from their logs anyway).

At any rate I have bought a concept 2 and got rid of my broken waterrower as it was taking up too much time trying to fix/salvage. The concept is amazing - much quieter than they used to be, solid as a rock and the current model packs up easily as it breaks in two parts.

I cannot recommend enough in comparison to the waterrower given their dire service.

UPDATE:

Likely spurred into action by the above I have just got an email from their customer services.

They are refusing a refund, however as a gesture of goodwill they will send a replacement (they already know I have got rid of the waterrower so this is just taking the piss).

They state this:

‘ Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund, as the glue was sold as part of our sealed stock from the USA and it is the responsibility of the customer to inspect products before use, particularly for items with expiration dates.’

I am going to see if trading standards agree.

I would advise steering clear of this company if you expect actual customer support.

From the moment I entered the store in London and spoke with Gideon about the bike trainer V2, I have had nothing but a very positive experience. I had a few issues after the v2 bike was delivered, but 90 % were down to me. At no time was I made to feel bad about this.

Delivery was as agreed, which was important. The courier had delivered many of these units before, so when I noticed an issue with packaging he made sure nothing was damaged and was very helpful putting the items into the required location in the house.

Zarah on the phone and via email was really helpful and organised an engineer (Chris) for the following lunchtime. Lovely guy who solved the issue that required a replacement part and I solved the other issues by thinking more.

I am currently liaising with Samantha who is currently resolving a log in issue on the website.

Thanks to all, I am really impressed.

I bought a cherrywood waterrower 29 years ago and it has probably been the best purchase I have ever made. I have used it regularly and am still using it on a daily basis. It is a beautiful piece of furniture in my living room when not in use and a fantastic rowing machine when in use.
I would encourage anyone who is interested in getting into shape to consider purchasing one. You wont regret it!

Recieved today over £2000 pounds worth of Waterrower and Norhd equipment, firstly I was short shipped one item, and then discovered that my waterrower had been damaged by the other accessories which were simply slung loosely in the shipping box free to move around in transit and damage the rower, all I guess to save a few £ on shipping cost.
After some phone calls and emails, I am left to do a technical repair job on my rower which involves stressing and dismantling the rower and risking further damage. Moreover I was informed that they were not prepared even to pay for next day delivery to get the parts across (another couple £ saved there)
On to general quality, rowers looks ok despite some flimsy parts. The wall bars for the price I would have expected to be professionally assembled, but in reality they are more a wall bar kit (think IKEA but much worse)which give the weight bearing nature of such a device I would have expected more at the price (I cannot see anything on their website pointing out that extensive self assembly needed)
Honestly my advice would be to look for other alternatives, particularly with the wall bars which I seriously doubt will stand the test of time.

Existing rower tank developed a leak after 6 years faithful daily service.Placed an order for a replacement. Easy order process from start to finish. Order / delivery was complicated due to holiday commitments but Waterrower took note of this a dispatched with next day delivery on our return from hols. Great customer service throughout.

Great service from the after care team who helped resolve an issue while I waited. Huge thanks to Zarah and Dee who made it possible for me to get myself back rowing again far sooner than I had expected. Thank you 🙏

Our Water Rower is over 27 years old. It has always been a pleasure to use, much more than competitor machines that I have used in gyms.
The wheels on the carriage recently perished. I contacted Water Rower and paid a modest sum for replacement wheels. All fixed very efficiently. Zarah and Jason were extremely helpful.
I have read that other people have problems with water in the drum - I change the water every few years and throw in a tablet. Never had a problem even in our sunny gym.
I wish other equipment would last as long as Water Rowers! (I just had to scrap my beautiful Mercedes as they were no longer making body parts after 20 years)

The Water Rower is a great rowing machine. The wood looks nice and the swoosh of the water is fabulous, whilst rowing. I bought my water rower in 2006 (18 years ago) and have rowed 10,500km with it to date. Over these years I have had to change the rim twice, and the recent change was last month. The Water Rowing service team was super helpful and we got it all done. I am very grateful and looking forward to the next 10,000km ahead.
