BEST MATTRESS I have EVER owned! The Duke mattress is an absolute dream & I am lucky to have found this company. Winston's team is impeccable; talented craftsmen/women who hand make each mattress & Reese who helps you pick the right mattress for you and ensures purchasing/delivery is stress free. After my “old school mattress” needed to be replaced, I went through 10 different memory foam/latex/plastic grid USA brand mattresses within 6 years. They were all overpriced, uncomfortable and had NO support. I went down a rabbit hole, trying to find a mattress like my beloved "old school mattress." That's when I learned that NO mattress made & sold in USA is without foam/latex/plastic grid! Seriously! These materials make us sick and offer no real comfort or support.
That's when I found Winston's beds. A traditional craftsmanship (family) company who hand make their mattresses with horsehair, wool, cotton, bamboo, & calico pocket springs- ALL natural materials!!! YAY!!!
Best part is, they SHIP to the USA. They even shipped to USA during the outrageous tariffs set by our gov. I was nervous about spending a high price for an item (way less $ than the 10 USA mattresses I bought) over the pond and with international shipping. But Reese reassured me that Winston's would make all of the shipping/delivery arrangements and there would be nothing to worry about- and he was right. The white glove delivery was fantastic and even took away my old plastic grid mattress.
It's been 96 days with my new Winstons's mattress, and I am planning on being buried on top of it!!! I'm sure it will be just as comfy in 35 years.
As a thank you, I had cookies and brownies delivered to the Winston’s team in UK. It’s the least I could do, when I finally could sleep again and am not getting sick from a plastic foam mattress.

I bought the Sherwood mattress a luxury soft “sink” feel top quality bed, however, sadly because of my weak back I realised I required a firmer feel mattress. Reese from Winston’s ordered the Shropshire mattress for me which has a firmer feel. I cannot praise more highly the quality of the beds and the professionalism of Winstons. My honest opinion is that I don’t think there is many better mattresses on the market. I highly recommend this company and would purchase a bed from them again without hesitation.

I was looking for 3 mattresses for my new house and wanted only the very best. I did a lot of research and found that the top 4 high end mattress brands were Vispring, Savoir, Hastens and Winstons. I tried a few from all of them except Winstons as they sell online only.

From the 3 I tried, the diamond majesty mattress by Vispring was too soft. The Hastens 2000T I didn’t find it to be anything special at all. The Savoir No1 mattress was the best of those 3.

I was about to place the order for the Savoir when my wife asked if I had checked out Winstons as her friend swore their mattresses were the best she had ever slept on and she had previously owned a Savoir. So I went online and looked through Winstons website. I decided to give them a call and ended up speaking with Reese, who I continued to speak with over the next few weeks across a number of helpful calls. I went with his recommendation and purchased two of their no2 mattresses which were significantly higher in quality in terms of specification than the Savoir mattresses I had looked at. I also purchased their windsor mattress, which Reese explained isn’t available through the website and is only sold to certain clientele.

The no2 mattress, despite being higher quality, was well priced in comparison to the other brands. The windsor was priced similarly to those brands but the type and amount of materials used inside were incredible.

Anyway, long story short, we’ve had these mattresses for over a year now and I’m glad I listened to my wifes friends recommendation. Winstons mattresses are superior. The no2 is absolutely loved by my teenage son and daughter and my wife and I cannot fault the windsor mattress, it’s simply the best mattress we’ve ever had.

well after 3 months sleeping on cushions our mattress arrived, its like sleeping on a firm cloud, wondrous nights sleep and being metal free it doesnt act as an antenna to the smart meter, wifi, 5g electrosmog that for recent years had me suffering convulsions, now i sleep deep and dream the dreams of innocence and youth

My wife and I have been sleeping on our Winston's for a few weeks. We are both equally content thus far with the decision we made to invest in such a well-designed and constructed, and hence comfortable mattress. The Grand Luxe's extra coils are a nice touch... And we will lend our voice to singing Reese' praises.

We bought the Ancoats a year ago. We were advised by Winston’s it was likely a better ‘fit’ for what we wanted than the one I’d chosen. Their advice was informed and spot on. It is absolutely top class, still perfect after a year of use. Not too hot not too cold, not to hard or too soft yet supremely comfortable. The best mattress we’ve ever had.

From the first contact via the USA website I was completely smitten by the actual personal attention from the customer service associate. He spent over 45 minutes understanding my situation and offering recommendations that would suit me. He explained the importance of the mattress materials and how they were utilized in the construction of the mattress. I am in the USA and had some trepidation about the purchase and import, especially with our tariff implications. My worries vanished with seamless ordering through transport and delivery. Everything was coordinated by the attentive team and all communication excellent. The mattress itself has exceeded all my expectations! It is superior in every aspect. Elegant design and materials; supportive and comfortable. The quality is sublime. I purchased the Shropshire as a combination side and back sleeper. At times I questioned my judgement ordering sight unseen from the UK. All fears vanished upon delivery and I wholeheartedly believe Winstons is the only mattress for me. 100% recommend and so glad I trusted the other reviewers. Reese at Winston's was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable, and took the time to listen to my needs as a customer and then to talk through the various options. It took a few weeks for the bed to arrive because it is custom made. We live in Northern Ireland and requested a delivery date. Winston's coordinated delivery of our bed with the courier service which was seamless.

We are delighted with the products we have purchased from Winstons Beds, along with the excellent professional service and advice we’ve received.
The standard of workmanship is excellent on the 2 divans and 2 headboards.
We also purchased a kingsize Shropshire mattress which has proved to be extremely comfortable to sleep on.

We bought the Sherwood mattress for our existing bed. After sleeping on a latex mattress for over 12 years and experiencing excessive sweating due to menopause, it was time for a change. We were a little sceptical about buying online but Aaron at Winstons was incredibly knowledgeable. My husband and I have different builds, so being able to tailor each side of the mattress to our individual needs was a huge benefit, it meant we didn’t have to compromise on comfort. Now 11 months in, we can confidently say it’s the most comfortable mattress we have ever slept on. Thank you, Aaron and thank you Winstons.

The other day a friend asked me how I liked my new mattress and I was momentarily a bit flummoxed because I don't really think about my mattress (except of course, when I have to turn it). I suppose I must have talked to her when I was in the research stage several months ago.

I have just looked up the delivery date and it's now
about 99 days since I've been sleeping on "The Sherwood". The reason I don't think about it is that the mattress doesn't seem separate from me when moving about, turning over etc; it's not an impediment like other mattresses have been. So, perhaps for me the ideal mattress is one that I just don't notice!

I had some useful guidance from the company when choosing "The Sherwood". The delivery company was brilliant: very pleasant but respected the house etc.

I researched a lot of companies and read reviews before going with Winstons. There were many people who purchased expensive mattresses from other reputable companies but were really disappointed. It is reassuring to have a returns policy like Winstons but to be frank after all the research I did I just wanted to both love my new mattress and forget about it. I didn't want to have to return it. However, it was nice to know that possibility was there.
For me "The Sherwood" has been a brilliant blissful choice and I wish all of you the best in your mattress hunt.

Excellent quality double sided mattress at a fair price (which only seems to get more comfortable the more we sleep on it), delivered on time and with good customer service. What more can you ask for?Highly recommend.

We bought a super king Shropshire mattress. Originally it was a firm one which didn’t correspond to my weight. I didn’t listen to Rees’s recommendations in the beginning so ended up with a very firm one but thankfully he was very understanding and rectified the situation/replaced it free of charge. Now we have a medium Shropshire mattress which is amazing, plush and supportive at the same time. Very good quality. I would definitely buy from Winstons Beds again!

Stumbled across this company whilst looking for some high quality divan beds for my boys.

The prices were somewhat out of my budget being someone used to buying IKEA beds. However, we decided to spend more money on something that could potentially last a lifetime instead of something made from chip board and particle board.

We were able to customise the springs on the Divan to have them firmer. It took about 4 weeks to make. The two person delivery team were impeccable. Didn’t need to ask for them to take off their shoes. Installed the beds, mattresses and took all the packaging away.

The delivery company also delivers for 20 other manufacturers. They said that this bed company was the best out of all the bed companies they deliver for in terms of quality. They collect the beds from the factory itself and said they have seen how meticulous the craftsman are. I have no reason to doubt them since they are a logistics company catering for other firms.

I was very nervous to place the order from a company I never heard from. However I’m so glad I did and Reese was excellent in sorting out a package for my boys.

If you are considering this company, I wouldn’t hesitate based on my personal experience. They are known within the business through selling via direct channels rather than direct to consumer. I’m glad I stumbled upon them and that they don’t spend huge money on marketing which they then pass on to the customer.

I need to save up for a new bed from them for myself and wife now.

I recently snapped up an emperor sized Aura mattress from Winstons with an extra firm spring tension. I've got to say, I'm chuffed with it. This mattress hits the sweet spot between being supportive and plush. I had several chats with Rebecca from the Winstons customer service team. She was a star and really knew her stuff and helped me choose wisely. Given that I'm a bit on the heavy side at 22 stones, her nudge towards the extra firm springs was bang on. Since I've been sleeping on the Aura mattress, the irritating hip pain I had with my old mattress is gone. The support it gives my whole body is smashing. My wife, who's 19 stones, has been having a good kip as well. It's cracking how well the mattress suits us both. I'm well impressed. Big thanks to Rebecca for her sound advice and cheers to Winstons for their dedication to making sure their customers are happy. If you're on the hunt for a quality mattress that ticks all the boxes for comfort, support and easing hip pain, the Aura mattress is worth a gander.

Great product , Outstanding customer service. We bought a Cotswold medium firmness on Reece's measured advice and have found it to be perfect for us. Looks and feels like it will last forever. Other mattresses we have slept on since purchase seem quite frankly, awful!
